An idea.... since Anet wont give us boss auras, can some smart moders think of something?

That Azure reskin on p.44 is going to make me do a destroyer reskin of it.
The normal destroyer bow looks horrible.

I've tried the alpha channel editing to remove bits of armor on my rangers Druid armor from droks. Now, I've seen it successfully done in some pics here, but when I do it all I'm left with is the shiney chrome effect. Now I know normally you can get rid of that by editing the "shiney" texture, but for some reason I can't find it for my ranger armor. Any help?
P.S. I'm using photoshop CS and I extract my images in .tga format. i know people say to use .dds but I run into nothing but problems when I use .dds.
immortius
The alpha channel controls shininess, transparency or both, depending on the texture. If a texture doesn't have any transparency to begin with then you generally can't add any.

Is there a way to have Texmod auto-load a certain set of mods? Getting annoying loading 9 different mods before pressing run.
Witchblade
if you got the bmps you can merge em, but you are prolly talking about downloaded mods, not selfmade ^^

Yeah, but I have no idea how to do that, and I am not looking through a 46 page thread where the first post is someone finding out we can start modding and not a help page/guide.

Hello, I'm new here, but I've got a mod request since I am horrible when it comes to modding.
You see, prophecies is my fav chapter, but I really hate the ranger hair (ranger = fav profession).
I was wondering if anyone could put an assassin hairstyle on a prophecies ranger or edit it to make it look a little more like it?
Here's a picture with my (poor) PhotoShop skills.
Thanks in advance for at least reading.

Oh, too bad.
No problem, though. Thanks for the info.

hair can be "easily" modded, here is an example i made a while ago for mine.
Now, you can do more editing of the texture using the alpha channel if you wanna make it shorter. Look at the texture, you can do whatever you want, like masking a part of the hair. All you need is painting with black/white in alphachannel (see my screen above). I suppose that can be done with GIMP/PSP for those who dont have Photoshop

so we can actually change hair models? i made my monk over 2 years ago and he was a strange moheekan type hair cut. is it possible to give him like green spikey hair, some sort of punk?
Seren!ty
You don't change the hair models, you can however change how it is rendered using the excisting model. By using transparancy that is.
You see the light green (bit transparant) hair model here?
Now if you add transparancy to the hair's texture (by applying a black color (#000000) to the alpha channel) you leave things out, this way you can make hair shorter, remove bits, and maybe even add in a tie (texture-wise).
So, to answer your question: No, you can't give your monk spikey hair unless he allready has it. You can, however, make his hair green.

You may start reading the whole topic
Witchblade
yup, start reading a bit and have a look at the wiki page
fenix
Saying to 'read the topic' is pretty harsh, since 99% is crap. Someone should go through and get the info that people NEED, and stick it somewhere....
As for the hair modding thing, afaik it just leaves dark black where the hair should be transparent. Haven't really tested as I have short hair on my warrior though...

Mr Slashalot
im just starting to mod and here is what ive done so far.
my assassin, i was sick of trying to find an all black combo, so i like this one alot.
Since i feel glads shows off to much male skin for my liking i added some tribal tattoos, keep in mind its
not finished
and finally this is my Tower Shield Dog (My Dog). Ignore the gold bit i was in a rush to see it.

Any news on the GW:EN map?
gremlin
If only you can see it I don't think its very usefull and if it showed to everyone then lag would rocket imho
Walk into a town where a good % of the players looks are customised would need your computer to load the differences into memory.
Leastways thats the way its worked with my other online game experiences.
Oh joy its halloween the servers are full and to add to it all the players have painted their faces and costume especially.
loading buffering loading buffering etc etc halloween would be over before I got in
Love the idea in theory if the problems could be overcome.

Sorry for the delay folks. Due to some real life issues, the update had to be put on hold for a bit. But now, just in time for GW:EN Vanquishing, come the new and improved Tyrian Cartography Made Easy, with GW:EN support.
The new update adds in a few spots on the Tyrian map that were previously blacked out, adds 100% GW:EN cleared map, and sports a fancy new color.

QQ: So all the transparent orage parts on the map are the ones that i have to map in order to get 100% on my title?
Also, are the dark black area's on the map area's that cannot be reached/cannot be mapped?
And what are the orange borders around the transparent area's for?

And the orange borders are just to show where the fog is ending, but also when you uncover the fog, it moves back and the orange borders have a set place to show that there is no more fog in that area.
EDIT: Ah I see you are talking about the ''new'' one, which i haven't tried, so maybe what I said is still valid or not, who knows.
sykoone
If there's transparent orange, it means that area can be mapped. Once the orange is pushed all the way to the black, in most cases it cannot be pushed back any more.

Anyone ever figure out the reason some people get the Shit Happened D'OH message? My TexMod was working fine until a Windows Update and reboot, now it has that stupid ass error.
