The Dragon - Our next threat in GW2?
Mark Nevermiss
I think Shiro could solo Abaddon, the destroyer and the Lich 1vs3 and kick their collective asses.
You can't see me

Uh ... yeah, he could, easily. The problem for the other three is
- They can't kill Shiro very quickly thanks to his HP
- Shiro has battle scars, giving him silly lifesteal, and they have no stance removal
- Shiro does quite a lot of damage himself... and the others have little to no healing
- If things actually get dicey, he has Impossible Odds, which will wreck them all. Meditation of the Reaper won't really have much effect on those sorts of enemies, but I don't see him needing it.
I agree that Abaddon does have the most power; he just sucks at using it. The Lich can't really even partywipe you, so he barely registers.

Wonder if the Anicent Dragons can tranfer their powers to 1 another if they die making each 1 more harder to destory.

Remember how they said that there was dragons in tyria before humans?maybe these are those dragons?maybe the gods thought them to powerful to reign but they needed life and worships to sustain them so they created humans?and so they trapped the dragons so they would be able to come up again but as all their handy work before it was to weak to contain the dragons?maybe the dragons started a army but not before the gods stupidly granted them power?and then the dragons rebelled but the gods were to powerful and defeated them or maybe they created the seers to stop the dragons and the seers won but they forgot the time in the age their tablets and recordings destroyed in a final battle between the seers and the dragons so they don't remember anything?
Azael Durge
I declare a dragon hunt! Go forth people of the world and find any trace, storey, picture, ancient ruins etc. and post them with their details.
And i was wondering is there any geographical importance of these slumbering beasts we know of?

You can see a few of the sleeping dragons in Eye of the north if you look hard and other dragon stuff in the depths of tyria like pictures and paintings.
And for the last time the UW has no dragon they are gaint snakes the size of mountains

Drakkar, Charr Teritory Dragon, Primordious, all confirmed, all seen. Orr dragon is under orr, which is under water, can't find him, the deep sea dragon, well deep sea, can't find him, and that leaves Mr.Desert dragon. Quick, socure the crystal desert and the desolations and take SS's of anything that remotly resembles a dragon.
Mark Nevermiss
GW lore going down the toilet. From the original Prophecies and maybe Factions lore to the generic dragon rubbish.

I may of just discovered the deep sea dragon

Here are some pics

Deep Sea Dragon, He is Imprissoned in the Jade Sea When It Froze Over, Comeon People, why didnt we think of that earlier

English Warrior
well done photo shopping thats the levithiang unbroken in the deep turned on its side there fore not dragon a fake and also the size is too small.
angmar_nite
That's a Leviathan... There's a lot of them, do the Deep people. You can even kill one.
Eldin
Looks more like a mutated Asian centipede.

The power of the anicent dragons is great but if the gods could seal them up their must be some of that magic left some were in Tyria laying around in scrolls or books because the gods may of left something in case the anicent dragons return

Most Fantasy settings involve dragons so im not really surprised that GW2 would center around them. I would have prefered they went a different route than beat on the ol Dragon Drums but oh well.
As far as GW lore goes...we all knew the dragons had once been a part of Tyrian history at some point but it wasnt fully explained. I believe one of the massive skeletons in the Crystal Desert is most likely a dragon.
Ive read the lore over and over and cant find a place that says the current gods were the first gods..nore does it say the dragons were the first gods or any gods for that matter. It is very possible that in GW2 the dragons could just as easily have been beasts of the orignal gods that got outta control and rebelled against their masters destroying them..thus making way for the current gods rise ala they put an end to their terror by entombing them in the only thing large enough..the world.
We simply have to wait for Anet to go over their lore and fill in the blanks for us..speculating is fun to a point..but there comes a time when we simply must await.

as far as i know thats true but not in that form

It's silly how the Gods left Tyria, yet still return for Wintersday (and still pay attention to us with the favor and HoH), but ignore all the big threats. Probably one of those "we must not interfere" things...so cliche'd.
Also, there is no proof these Gods were the first ones. Remember, we had Abaddon and Dhuum, Abaddon is no more, Dhuum was usurped by Grenth. It's possible something may have happened with the other Gods as well...
EDIT: Oh, and now we got six Gods, due to Nightfall and all. It will be so odd saying the "Six Gods of Tyria" instead of five, now...

The gods left after the humans found their place in keeping the balance of power in Tyria after they beat abaddon and seal the more powerful magic in the bloodstones. Now the anicent dragons have return in guild wars 2 so we may found or see the gods start reacting to this threat
Dervish Kid
I think each mission in hw2 will involve a dragon..
if not a dragon then one of the gods have something to do with it.

Yes, and Rotscale's twin brother, once part of Sanctum Cay.
There's also a Dragon Lich or something in one of the campaigns, I forget which...

Yeah there can also be other dragons than just the lords... Think about the one near the eye of the north. Maybe it's just a general of the Drakkar.
Eldin
GW has a ridiculous amount of Drakes, you'd think there are more dragons as well.
Especially if GW2 is to return to Tyria and the medieval theme, we may see more lesser dragons.

Drakes and other dragon like monster are sub classes of Dragons. the anicent dragons are the ture dragons

Any1 realised that the areas the dragons are in are usually name after them?
think about it 'Grothmar' wardowns, 'Drakkar' lake, so i thought i decided to have a long think about this and i thought why isn't there a dragon is 'Vlox's' falls?

Well, areas containing dragons may very well be named after them (at least the Drakkar one, which sounds pretty dragonish - Grothmar sounds like a Charr thing though), but it doesn't mean all places with a name in them have to be named after that person (although in real life that occurs quite often).

I thought there were actually 6 of them... One for each god...*
-Primordus: in the Asuran Central transfer Chamber (Balthazar)
-Drakkar: In Drakkar Lake (Dwayna)
-Grothmar: In the Charr Homelands (Melandru)
And theres 3 more I think:
-the one under Orr (Grenth)
-the one in The Sea (Kormir)
-the one in The Crystal Desert (Lyssa)
*Please note that this is downright speculation on my accord*

Under the sea would actually be Abbaddon, and that makes sense cause Abaddon held sway over water.

Plus, if that was the case, there would be no Kormir dragon - there'd be an Abaddon dragon.
The Dragons are ancient, they supposedly have been around since the days when Abaddon was a God, so it would be tied to him, not Kormir.
Very clever speculation, Fang.

Don't forget that Abaddon and Kormir are just the wielders of the power. Kormir is just a paragon by herself but she absorbs the powers "of secrets" much like Abaddon did once prolly.
ValaOfTheFens
Fangclaw: The dragon in the crystal desert is Glint and I don't think you can firmly say that she is associated with Lyssa. Remember that the followers of Abbadon once came to the desert along with Turai Ossa, who I assume was a follower of Lyssa like many Elonians, seeking ascension and so Glint could be associated with Abbandon. *lol*
about Glint: I think she will still be around in GW2. I'm intrigued by her offspring. Does the baby have a name?

Uh uh. Glint is not an ancient dragon.
Also, something everyone should note. The water dragon from the charr homelands is the one which flies south over Ascalon to the desert spreading corruption in its wake. There's no dragon in the desert atm, waiting to be awakened.
