Want
- Dervish or Dervish-esque skills (For charr; Derv Charr= Awsome)
- Reptilian "followers/worshipers" of the dragons (makes sense to me)
- More incentive for people to join together
- Higher level cap
- More options to complete things (Like you can roll this boulder over if you have... X in a stat, which kills Y mobs and weakens the boss's forces)
Do Not Want
- Forcing people to party (just as basil, and ya got disaster!)
- The stupid weird cartography (100%=100%. Not 10% of the bloody map you show us.)
- Outright fighting the dragons, party vs dragon. (To me, they are far to uber to give a hoot about us. More likely to just go "snack! *nom nom nom*" than for a group of extraordinary people to...kill/injure/banish/obliterate/hit-with-magic-missile (roll the d100)
Seriously, if you can just waltz over and kill (Orr? The one blocking Tyria from Cantha)...I'm sure a bloody NATION of people will have thought of that already.

Mortal Amongst Mere Gods
Wants:
1. Heroes/companions
2. *Good* rewards for the infinite grind to get my HoM maxed
3. Good plot like Prophecies or NF. Factions' plot sucked.
4. Hard Mode
5. Seperation of parts of the game from lower levels. I want to feel like my achievement of a high level was actually worth it.
6. Assassins.
7. More challenging foes than what I find in current GW. (I doubt it'd happen, but I'd like to see Anet put in an assassin boss somehwere in GW1 that has MS+DB.)
Don't wants:
1. PvP. I don't want it cause I don't do it. I'm sure other people want it, though.
2. Little to no difference in damage capabilities of characters. (i.e. a level 20 hitting as high as a level 60 on the same foe. Not cool.)
3. End-Game greens. Most have worthless skins and stats you can find on items that look better.
4. Better looking elite armor. Half of the Obsidian armors are ugly. None of the elite assassin armors look great either.
5. If they're still around, for damage modifiers on your weapons to affect your attack skills, not just auto-attacks.
6. Whole story to be based on one foe. The Proph plot was great in that it wasn't a "Go here, then there, grab this, go there, and kill that guy. The end." The variety of sub-factions that you fought against spiced things up. In the plot, the Forgotten and White Mantle actually had a purpose, whereas in Factions the Jade Brotherhood had little--if any--storyline importance.
7. Short-cuts given to people to make things easier. (i.e. tomes so you don't really have to cap, scrolls that make leveling too quick, etc.)
8. Skills and atts. nerfed so bad and so much that you have to check every week to make sure they're viable for your build. *cough*cough*Soul Reaping!*cough*cough*
9. Nerfing for PvP to affect PvE. A bunch of skills have been nerfed for PvP balancing and have screwed with my builds countless times.
Yeah, that's asking for a bit too much. Knowing Anet, not even half the wants here will be done and more than half the not-wants will.

There are places in PvE to go and have fun and chat with people.
Plus fighting enemies that use really whacky skills you'd normally don't see in PvP is kinda refreshing.

I would like it if Kurzicks and Luxons still existed.
I would like it if some of the Prophecies and Factions songs played in GW2.
I would like it if we had an auction house.
I wouldn't like it if we were able to carry all the skills with us.

Do Want
- Instancing - World PVP just sucks balls to be honest.
- Heroes - Because too many Guild Wars players are bad
- Less, but more skills rewarding skills to choose from (Bull's Strike, D Shot, Frezy, etc)
- Much bigger animals to flash at people who cry about elitism.
- Easily acquirable optimal weapons
- UAX GVG
- Click-To-Move
- Low Level cap (instead of this RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing stupid high level thing they are suggesting)
Do Not Want
- Lack of challenging content
- Title Based skills
- Infrquent poor skills balances - apparently Anet has forgot about how they nerfed ancestor's rage, then rebuffed it to make it stronger than it's ever been.

Hypothetical Dateline: 3 Hundred years ago - (Not GW, but an example)
We fought with rocks, clubs and stone spears. It worked for our time and was a very cutting-edge technology that was wildly successful. We immortalized our successful heroes in their personal Halls of Monuments so that their descendents would be honored by their achievements. To do this we included their actual armor and weapons for posterity.
Hypothetical Dateline: Now - (Not GW, but an example)
We fight with forged metal weapons, the spears and projectiles we now use fly 3 times the distance than they used to and are ten times more powerful. We know this because we have museums that contain the old-fashioned now-useless weapons our ancestors used. We would be crazy to even suggest we go back to the "stone age" weapons our ancestors used... we wouldn't survive against today's technology.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Does this help to understand why we wouldn't use the armor and weapons in the HoM? -V

I like how system requirements for GW1 doesn't make my computer explode, while providing an extremely visually pleasant and lag-free environment.
I like the Xunlai house.
I like the ability to dye (most) items.
I like heroes.
I like titles.
I like emotes.
I like unique armor pieces (gloves, helms, etc... more please!).
I like events.
I don't like the Xunlai chest. For a magical vault, it sure doesn't hold much. I'd much rather it be able to contain a limitless amount of storage, or gave the option to purchase more space as you need it.
I don't like any level cap, or any ceiling at all. Comeon, we can think of something more impressive than "levels".
I don't like the rare material trader ... more specifically, I dislike price quoting and how it leads to the inability to bulk buy items with ease.
I don't like the clipping algorithm. ESPECIALLY with guild capes and, more often than not, shields.
I don't like the friends list system. It feels like it has so much potential, but it's missing basic elements that we'd expect such as offline messaging.
I don't like title grinding. Luxon/Kurzick faction is alright as there are PvE and multiple PvP options to choose from on how you advance in the title. But it's gone downhill since SS/LB, leading to GW:EN's terrible addition of four extra grindfest titles -- and attached skills to them too.
I don't like how unique weapons don't have unique looks.
I don't like how it's Guild Wars with very little reference made to the actual Guild Wars. I was actually hoping to take part in one.
I don't like the lack of incentives to do quests. Needs to do more than offer an insignificant amount of points to a title, experience which doesn't matter after you've hit the cap (who runs out of skill points?), and a tiny sum of gold (if any). A title for quest completion makes sense.
I don't like the lack of visible bow strings. =/
I don't like how... hmm... "non-interactive" the Hall of Monuments is, once you've monumentalised something. The very least is to give us an option to swap statues around as we please.
I don't like saving the world. I've saved the world in prophecies, I've saved the world in Factions, I've saved the world in Nightfall, and I've saved the world in GW:EN.
I don't like how a single model is reused over and over and over and over and over and over again with differing names each time. Unique models for different creatues, please. I'd also prefer bosses to look somewhat different to a normal foe -- no, an aura doesn't count -- but that's no biggie.
I don't like the anti-farming code, or loot scaling.

- Fair play WITHOUT nerfing
- More in-game events ;-)

I've noticed that quests are either kill random foes without much purpose, or run through a group of foes to talk to an NPC and then run all the way back. I want GW2 quests to be more interesting than the majority of GW1 quests.
Most importantly for me would be more options when creating a character. I was disappointed when I began Prophecies as all the other people looked just like I did. It didn't feel too unique. More faces and more hair right from the start this time, please!

Wants
1. More PVE focus with depth.
2. Give pvpers better rewards than what they got before.
3. Quest based leveling with some mixture of raiding content.
4. Crafting - Players should be able to craft their own items and armors. Crafting careers - Every mmo (FFXI,WOW,LOTRO)I have played has had these and most people like it. This eliminates the need for constant farming to earn money if people can make money out of crafting careers.
5. Bizzare - Have the ability to sell items from your inventory instead of an auction house.
6. Mini Pets but make them customized so people can't sell them for profit.
7. A great game
Don't Wants
1. Auction House - No mmo has had a balanced economy with one. Gold sellers will love you even more with an auction house.
2. Ridiculous level cap. If the plateau of power will be cut at level 40 then there is no reason for additional levels other than for show which is kind of pointless.
3. No more 15k armors - It promotes gold selling which I hate in mmo games.
4. If my companion has better looking armor and weapons than me I will be disappointed.
5. If my character looks like a WOW toon I will be sad. Remember, you guys have artists not cartoonists. There is a big difference

Wants:
- level grind (hey i like to grind as it makes me feel like im doing something lol)
- a better slope for enemies levels and difficulties (tied to grind obviously this would be possible, i hated coming off noob island in cantha to get hit with level 20s when i was just a 13 or maybe less)
- Lots of skills, all useable (in a perfect world)
- separation fo PVe and PVP ( both are fun but what affects one should nto affect the other)
- LORE, gotta explain all this stuff
- Huge dragons
- ability to go to the places we see in gw 1 but no idea what they are (im looking at you floating castle!)
- something underwater could be neat
- Many levels of armour appropriately priced
- collectable armour
- more varied runes
- Auction house
- Lots to do
- Secrets, or at least hard places to get to
- updates that actual do stuff
- a map where most of it is actually explorable...
- a community thats actual nice to one another
Dont want:
- PVP and PVE affecting each other
- favor
- bad guys where you almost need to cheat to beat them
- a monthly fee
- and end to incidents (i think thats what the missions are called atleast)
- parites bigger than 20 needed (hard to get them as is)
- Heroes (not sure here, they are great but they are stupid too so maybe is a better term here)

*Longer, wider and uncut 'Cape' options, with hoods as options. I want a CLOAK for my ranger/knight/wizard - not a little girlie handkerchief! Something to wrap up and look mysterious in.
*HORSES and other mounts to ride on for simple vanity. Gear options for said mounts. Think minipet usefulness (ie: none), but maximal prestige (ie: obsidian armour).
*Better Trading system. Though it's a hell of a lot better these days with spam mostly relegated to Trade Channels, and third party sites like this one help a lot.
*A Role Play Channel? - even though it would be abused - the small chance of civilised conversations relating to the game and in the spirit of the game? Nah, it'll be abused I guess. And even I hate badly acted Elf maidens (played by hairy sexually confused males of course). Scratch this one. Humour value only.
*A slightly less confusing system to make catching the Bots and Scammers a little smoother. It should be as simple as a Screenshot and a Category. Note: I am not interested in censorship in Local Channels, however.
Persistent Area concerns:
1)Option to avoid annoying morons self-inviting (without option to decline) in PvE 'Persistent' areas to wreck carefully planned aggro management.
2) AND to avoid suspension-of-disbelief-wrecking avatars called 'X Shd0w D3th Lagoles X' (but Legolas was already taken!) - dear editor this is not anyone's real avatar to the best of my knowledge - running around the 'Persistent' areas in my escapist fantasy game - ie: option to avoid 'Persistent' areas for most of the game.
It's bad enough in the Outposts... let alone Guild owned outposts in Factions/Cantha.
I don't want to see their unoriginal, badly spelled, poorly considered, out of context chat either where possible - in the new Persistent areas. I know, I know, 'You're living in a dream world, Neo *ahem* Rene.'

Wants:
- Unique characters that can learn all skills and become of all professions available to each race. 1 must learn all.
- Much more division between PvE and PvP.
- Retroactivity: New systems and general ideas always added to previous campaigns.
- Characters learning to craft with a 'get recipes' system. General storage improvement.
- Xunlai Market too.
- Global party search.
- Character unification, giving the merits(titles, customized items, miniatures, achievements, etc) to the player, regardless of character.
Don't want:
- Skill trees and learning limitations, so you have to have more than one character per race to be able to taste every single possible build. Need to delete and/or re-roll characters.
- King-of-the-hill economy, where items get harder and harder to get to the extreme of being only one of a certain item in the whole game. 'Rare' should mean that only 10..20% of the player have access to it, never more.
- Character separation, so you have to focus in one race/profession instead of being able to make everyting if you want to collect some achievements.

WANT:
-Companion system that uses characters you can create. (Ex: my character doesnt want to venture with Koss, he wants to explore with his wife)
-Instead of just picking a FACE and a HAIRSTYLE, make it like: Pick your CHIN, your EYES, your HAIRBASE, maybe add a ponytail with ADDITIONAL HAIR OPTIONS, COLOR of eyes-hair-blush .ect
-A crafting thats different from the one in LOTRO (probably in WoW) where mines would just randomly appear and everyone would run to it. (For mining I think it should be a stand still thing, like you found a hotspot a huge rock. Hotspots move though not like Runescape where they are always there.) [Fishing would be cool, it should behave kind of like a minigame.]
ACTAULY, it would be fun if all the crafting acted like a minigame.
-Charr females to be distinguishable, I hate it when the difference is too minor
-Sylvari turning into trees so teamates can climb on them and snipe.
-More emotes.
NOT WANT:
-The music to be quiet like it is in GW1. It took me till yesterday (ripping the files) to actauly appreciate the music. I want the max volume to be loud.
-Bunny ears for an Easter Event... If you add them, come and shoot me first
-Bots advertising. I'm serious, just LAY IT DOWN ON EM. I don't care if you actauly have to kill people and maybe start WW3... But GET RID OF THE BOTS.
-Jotuns
-Mini Pandas. I don't want that to be THE excuse for not putting mini pet arenas in towns.

Want:
- Similar skill system with a skill bar not too far from eight slots
- Low level cap
- Ability to easily have mutiple characters
Do not Want:
- Heroes
- horrible balance
- Armor and weapons that make you have to buy a new expensive upgrade everytime time you want to switch builds (or makes you have multiple armor sets and weapons). I want armor to remember the upgrades I put on it so I can switch them out whenever I want (but no more than one upgrade for each slot at a time).

Want:
Rits and Rangers.
Simple skill system, as it is (more or less). 8-skill, 1-elite bar is fine.
I would like to see mid-game flexibility in builds somehow, though. Tired of
being mid-instance before I recognize something's not working.
Team play, heroes. Beats waiting for monks any day. Soloing's not so fun.
I do NOT want:
Solo play system
Skills tied to titles.
nonexistent or much higher level cap. lvl 20 in prophecies? Once was plenty.

WANT: An increased emphasis on character customization, not just faces/hair and such but items of most sorts as well as character animations if possible. I would LOVE to see the ability to choose our characters animation form... Like, for example, choosing Dervish combat animations, over, say Ranger animations for your character.
DON'T WANT: Items = power like other MMOs in which powerful items compensate for player skills and if you have better items then you'll have a large chance of success. (see *insert almost every MMO here* for more details)
ALSO DON'T WANT: Major time sinks that are required for a character to grow! Casual players are almost always the majority, and majority should rule!

WANTS:
1) PvP-based skill balances.
2) PvP control over elite areas.
3) 20 level cap. Let's face it, this was very good for the game.
4) A better tutorial system. I think that there are too many players walking around the basic areas with absolutely no idea of what to do, because the tutorial really didn't help them that much.
5) A worthwhile PvP tutorial. The problem of inadequate players is even worse in PvP. I think that this is because the tutorial island just isn't very helpful/appealing to a new player in the state it is now.
6) Some kind of reward for your continent if your team wins HoH, even if it's not favour.

Wanted:
Since Anet makes city of heroes I don't think it would be too much of a stretch for them to add the char creation options available in heroes.
obviously not robot body parts and stuff like that but how about change body proportions to help make a more varied character. maybe pointy ears or facial hair and facial features.
being able to change appearance later after character creation would be cool too. if they want they could limit it to hair style and/or color changes. same with beards.
Not Wanted:
less grind plz. in order to get FOW armor I must farm either with pugs (which sucks) or if i solo it has been nerfed to heck. (also sucks)
yeah i know if I save my money I can eventually buy a set (if i am lucky).

- Mounts and mounted combat (being mounted however has side effect like less armor rating to make, not being mounted useful sometimes).
- Skill bar with many more slots, limited in PvP but not in PvE.
- Smart AI and not typical attack move enemy what spam one monster only skill and have mighty dps to counter their basic AI (typical in MMO games).
- World PvP, Charr not cooperate with Asura.
I still buy Guild Wars 2 however.

For them to keep the basis on what Guild Wars was built on, regardless of masses wanting WoW like qualities.
-Minimum grind, even if you can get to level 100, make it stop giving you benfits at a low level.
I can't think of anything else! Keep it Guild Wars, eh I know one post on guru won't make a difference. :P
