So:
I'm not discouraged from playing more than one character. But if I want to transfer GWAMM, I need to do all the titles on a single character.
/facepalm
This is a good update - don't get me wrong. However, the REAL effect of the change is to discourage players from feeling the need to grind max titles on more than one character. In other words, the devs are actually reducing the value of playing with multiple characters (due to max title track synergy), because you're still incentivized to do it all on a single character and there is no incentive for completing titles on multiple characters.

Maybe you just need to display 5 titles on the honor monument to get the respective unlock for GW2. The mechanic what makes a monument "complete" was never officially revealed by Anet. Wiki is just guesswork.
I don't think GWAMM is going to be an issue for many people, but I would be interested to know if there's going to be any change to the way the HoM title monument upgrades based on KoaBD generally. Maybe it could count the titles added to the same effect and giving a sort of pseudo-KoaBD to people who don't want to work on one character?

Guess works is not that much baseless.

Anyway, i thought a bit about it, if GWAMM will have impact, then this is what it removes as "necessary" for main:
* Doing all staue-worthy areas
* Buying 15k armors
* Destroyer weapons.
* Minipets
* Heroes / Multiple pets (yay, i no longer have to abandon my pet on main to have em all!)
However all those grindy nonaccount based titles still would have to be done by single character to fuell GWAMM.
Now, minipets/hero statues do not really require much effort and being able to offload them to secondary characters helps nothing.
15k armors help a bit more as now one can buy armors purely depending on thier taste so their main would not longer have to buy ugly armors just to place to monument, however, offloading this to secondary characters does not really help with making playing then worth more.
Weapon is better, people with multiple characters can now finally buy weapons that those characters will use instead of buying everything on one and having heroes equip em or even trash those weapons for uselessness. But still does not help with playing those characters more.
So, those monuments not make playing non-mains that much worth it because they don't really involve gameplay.
And monument that actually does (titles) still seems to require one main. (Hope i am wrong...)
But it added two titles that are now worth it doing with non-main: LDOA and/or Survivor.

1. Each individual character will still have his or her own HoM.
2. Titles will not be able to move from character to character, so if you earn survivor on a new character your old character will not be able to show it.
3. When you enter your HoM you will be able to choose between seeing just the achievements of that character or all achievements, your characters' achievements will not be combined together, this is just making it easier to see what you have "unlocked".
4. If you imagine there was a checklist storing what you have unlocked in gw2. Before the update, each individual character had their own checklist. Now, there is only one checklist for the account. so if you have say, sweet tooth in your monk's HoM, it will be checked off on your account list. This does not mean the other characters will be able to add it to their HoM, just that it will be visible when the HoM is set to account wide rather than character only.
5. Before the update, when you connected your GW1 account to your GW2 account it would ask you what character you wanted to use as the ancestor for the new character. It would have then used that particular checklist to decide what unlocks applied to this new character. Now it just uses the account checklist for all new characters. I don’t know if this will mean that you still have to tie each new character to a single existing character or it will make all of your old characters ancestors for every new character.
Well that’s how I see it.

I bet the "...information about the exact rewards for each Hall of Monuments accomplishment..." would be pretty anti-climatic to us all. Imagine the hard to max PvP titles reward is a stupid cape that goes along the lines "I am a Legendary Champion in GW1 and all I have now is this stupid cape... "

I just hope you held on to those weapons, and didn't trash them after putting them in your HoM.

I do wonder though if completed titles on other characters will add to your main character's GWAMM track. Probably not, which is kinda disappointing, because you're basically still going to have to play your main character if you're going for GWAMM. But hey, that's a choice everyone can make. I'm not complaining ^^

I think a "My ancestor was a God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals and all he/she left me was this lousy cape" would be awesome dude lol!
I'm hoping for some cool pimpage unlocked stuff like:
Resilience: special armor(s)
Valor: special weapon skins
Fellowship: special hero armor
Devotion: special minipet(s)
Honor: special character title display / statues in GW2 HoM / special charmable pet in HoM like rainbow phoenix / special cape (trim)
And may I suggest: Perhaps even some unique festival event gear for each one you participated in (just have the hat NPC register the hats you have to GW2 for some cool Wintersday / Halloween etc. costumes?)
Yes, the way I see it, they will be.
