It would be cool if killing "normal monsters" gives 20pts of Kurzick faction when doing Urgoz in Hard Mode, instead of 10pts currently.

Storage:
Character Based 1. Book Storage 2. Armor Storage Account Based 1. Dye Tab HoM 1. Account Based 2. Need to be at least level 2 in KoBD track for that toom to be included in Account Based HoM (Sjeng: HELL NO!!!!!!!!!) 3. Able to choose display (Achievements, Armor, Minis etc.) and their positions on the pedestal individually 4. Tormented or Destroyer Weapons to be displayed on Weapons Monument New Content 1. Another scavenger hunt so people w/ all chapters and campaigns get impetus to run thru the campaigns "yet another time" to get cash Other wishful thinking Tyrian Bailout Package 1. Inscription Trader Misc. Updates 1. Stackable inscriptions 3. Better Bot elimination process Real Wishful Thinking Hoping to see Sorrow's Furnace refueled or at least the dungeon reused in some fashion with a good challenging questline. |
*Drunkard changed to use->get points instantly. - oh please yes. duration of drunken effect can stay the same, but make it like sweet tooth please.
*And more storage - yes. especially for armor sets.
*increase money cap in storage to 10 mil - I hope so.
*dye container's and tomes containers - I hope so. One for mini's too please.
*More titles. - I hope not. Unless it's a character based "quests-finished" title.
I hope they make KoaBD title track account-wide, counting only unique titles. That way you could max different titles with different characters without missing out on the GWAMM title. Reward the player, not the character!
But as Linsey said, there aren't going to be more title changes.
*an in-game quest/mission tracker - another good idea.
*I would like to see the weapons put into the hall of monuments become account customized instead of character customized. that way i won't have to pick and choose across my characters which one gets which tormented weapon. - good idea.
*Scrolls for double-triple reputation points instead of XP so we don't have to wait forever for a new weekend) - awesome idea
*Tome trader - good idea
*i'd like to see an alliance roster so we can see whos who - yup, me too.
*Survivor track to be reset when you die so if you get the experience in a streak at any time you get the title - yeeeeessssss puh-lease!
*Storage space will always be limited, so I would rather have a faster and more efficient way to move items around - as I've suggested oh so many times already *prays*
Lots of off-topic wishes though...
PS: trade channel is fine the way it is. now I can easily distinguish between all and trade chat when both are turned on.

...and guess what? You'd still be able to distinguish between different chat channels. It would just be easier on the eyes to read through a constantly scrolling blur of (what is now) all one shade of pink.

Yeah I'd love that man.
And sure, why not give the trade channel text a different shade than the names. That I can understand. As long as it's not white or grey so i can clearly see the difference with all/team etc.

Make a cosmetics NPC !!!
How many people have a old ranger or monk from the early days who hate their look but dont want to remake the old fella's !!
make a cosmetics NPC so you pay like 10k and change the hairstyle or face even hight !
also, so you can have tyrian faces (even if your toon is from Elona providing you own said campaign)

Wondering if we will see some new dungeons in proph/fact/night, like EOTN dungeons.

Does this mean that they will release anew "CD" that you have to go out and buy and plug in the key, or will there be like an update that will do this atuomatically? with out them releasing a new cd key?
Regina Buenaobra
No CDs will be released. You'll download it just like you do the monthly updates.

Imo they should add :
* Some new instances/dungeons/missions
* More PvP maps (since GW is in 70% PvP game)
* More Items/Skins or something

Honestly if u really want the title...do it! dont b lazy and make them fix it for your needs Heck this would help me if they made it that way but i dont want it.... |
Also, I find it rather ironic that u r calling other people lazy, but u can't type out the actual words u mean 2 express.

lol if your too lazy to do the title the way it is then dont do it as i said earlier but if u want gwamm then do it and dont complain about it...if they wanted to make it like sweet tooth or party they probably would have already...not sayin it won happen but whatever...eh i mean i could use it if it were like that but then it takes the whole meaning out of the title....lots of people that have sweet and party just say hey im "rich" check out the title but with drunkard it adds the whole Time aspect into it and deserves a wow you are addicted or wow u know how to download a drunk bot.......and you dont NEED it for gwamm just do a dif one like treasure hunter or luckys or faction....along with all pve titles and money busters

I just pray to everything that is holy that the update is not storage.
I'd rather have a press release from Anet saying "There will never be any storage increases or updates for the remainder of Guild Wars 1. You have the Merchant NPC's, so please stop whining you pack rats."
More storage is just a never-ending vicious circle. Until storage is increased to infinity, there will always be "MOAR STORAGEZ!" whiners. Seriously, just learn to deal with it. I have at least 2 armors for every character, and 6 weapon sets on top of that. I also have more than my fair share of minipets and random drops I use for collectors. Never in my Guild Wars life have I ever wanted more storage. There is no way in hell that you would ever actually *need* that much storage.

They should add a few more Character storage boxes so we can have maybe one or two more characters...

hmmm
Update ToPK and Sorrow's Furnace drops to make the areas more enticing. Maybe add a few new PvP maps into ToPK. The two areas are nearly dead now.
Make Perdition Rock into a Prophecies elite area with repeatable quests and a special collectible drop that can be traded for new armor / weapons. The existing monsters there could use some skill revamps and perhaps add some more professions of hydras, drakes, and phantoms to make the area more challenging. Skins and map can stay the same.
This area is already quite large and has some decent monsters there, so revamping it to elite status shouldn't take that much work.
Make all grind titles account-wide / transfer reputation points between characters (with a small penalty)
Allow donation of faction for 2x points on allegiance title as a guest to another alliance
Make Luxon Longbows less lazy in JQ. Make Siege Turtles shoot shells that go up very high and then come down (i.e. don't attack walls).
7 heroes & 1 non-eotn PvE skill of hero's primary profession each
Kill Shadow Form...
Kill leechers...
Make Cry of Pain do damage only when it interrupts a skill.

I don't really expect anything. I'm just going to wait and see, that way I'm not supremely disappointed by exciting myself over nothing.
At this point, I'd also like to predict another stupid tonic that nobody likes, when there are a plethora of threads listing tonics that wouldn't in fact suck.

Besides the storage and HOM updates I'm expecting some new quest (much like the Mox string) or a new explorable area. In her journal when Linsey is speaking of her workload she makes mention that after she hands the design notes to the programmer she is finished until she gets it back to spawn. Spawn. SPAWN! That's a big word. It is, of course, very possible that I am reading too much into the word, but unless she's just talking about creating new town NPC's to access the additional storage then I'd say we'll see some new red dots somewhere in the game.
I like new red dots.
One other interesting note in the FAQ is that a new explorable the size of FOW or UW would take about 50 days without counting QA, and with no new background textures. Well -- since it's an update a quarter instead of an update a month this seems at least possible where in the past it was impossible. I'm sure not expecting the Realm of Lyssa, but I can at least dream, and even without new background or world textures this could fit the lore. After all, Lyssa is the Goddess of illusion.

ooh hey thats right, the sound of that 'spawn' word does sound promising...
it has the ring of 'new PLAYABLE content' to it...
unless its connected to the storage somehow. They could 'spawn' me some rubies into my storage, I wouldnt mind, my ele needs Vabbian.

This may have already been mentioned, but Id love the /bonus items to appear in a seperate window when I spawn them so I don't have to trash a dozen items or more each time I want to equip a hero or something.

Actually, they are, so I assume you are referring to unsalvaged runes. Runes and insignia themselves should be made stackable, and that should be our next storage tab.
|
Runes are the same now as common scrolles used to be - each one IDs for a different amount of gold and they cannot stack. When ANet did the update years ago that made scrolls stack, you could not stack the newer scrolls (already identified for 100 or so gp) on top of the older scrolls (could ID for anything from 100 to 200g). I know because I used to ID them and the MS them for quick cash.
Insignias and Inscriptions are the same way - they all ID for different amounts of gold and cannot stack.
They funciton the same, but they are all different.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What I expect:
* Expanded Char storage in the form of a Book holder - that's it.
* Expanded Account storage in the form of either increases in Materials or addition of Dye storage - that's it.
* Account HOM in the form of desplaying Destroyer/Torments and Armors collected for an entire account - that's it.
What I HOPE for:
* Expanded storage for chars with multiple sets of armor (good money sink), multiple sets of weapons.
* Ability to store Mini's (in your HoM?)
* Make Sweet Tooth, Drunkard, Party Animal account-wide. (I know Linsey has said "there is no compelling reason", but there is - player satisfaction. Let me play ALL my chars using all my sweet points and alcohols to buff them. What compelling reason is there NOT to? Time? Copy/find/replace the wisdom/treasure hunter update code for consumables.)
* Update more useless elites, give Mesmers their missing Prophacies elite
* Make FC, SP, Str more useful
* Faction scrolls - Earn Norn/Asura/EV/Lux/Kzk at a higher rate in exchange for cash & materials
* KoaBD EMOTE! Now that we have two "I am better than you are" PvP emotes, how about one for people who worked their way up in PvE?
That's all I want. Maybe some other things, but that's it for now.
In my opinion, there are so many things that they could fix with Guild Wars. Some of the basic game mechanics are just dumb and pointless.
For instance, Skill Points. Why were these seriously invented in the first place? Since skills increase in price over time, this is already a decent gold sink and will prevent players from buying a bunch of worthless skills for no reason. I mean seriously: A gate to prevent people from having "too many" skills. Since low level characters already have other things holding them back, like Attribute Points, bad armor, etc., it seems really pointless. In the end, the only thing that this did was annoy veteran players, as any alternate characters had to effectively wait until they had enough "skill points" to run proper builds.
ArenaNet must have thought of it as a stupid mechanic themselves, because in Eye of the North, they create the consumable Star of Transference to allow people to effectively transfer as many skill points as players wanted to low-level characters anyway. So whatever ArenaNet was trying to "gate" characters with skill points, it was effectively removed with the Eye of the North expansion anyway.
I sure hope that we don't see this kind of nonsense in Guild Wars 2: They create a game mechanic that is just dumb, then create objects within the game universe as some kind of ad-hoc fix for the bad mechanic.
Guild Wars is actually pretty efficient on game mechanics when you compare it to any other MMO.
But yeah, skill points are pretty unnecessary and aren't interesting in the current state of the game. To prevent new players from instantly training every skill in the game at level 1, they can simply keep using the current model, which is that the skill trainers are spread out throughout the campaign. I think the skill point mechanic is a holdover from way back when the game was originally intended to be PvP, with PvE as a training campaign.
Do you remember early on when you had to un-train attribute points? That design was totally incompatible with the idea that you could switch up skills whenever you were in town. Obviously they realised that and fixed it. I'm surprised the concept of skill points wasn't erased at that point. It looks like they're basically just used for consumables now, and they are more like "levels that you can spend" than "skill points" in that sense.
Yes but PvE doesn't need an emote, PvE titles are easily obtained unless they involve large amounts of gold (and then there's ebay).
Melandru could simply be a range of natural environments.
Dwayna is one we'll probably never see, since the domain of the goddess of air and light is hard to imagine using existing textures.
