What's The Stupidest Thing You've Heard While Playing Guild Wars?

I've known about it for ages, and I hate on it whenever it comes up.

Then you should also know that they've talked about automatically bumping players up to max level when doing organized PvP and levels themselves being less important once you reach a certain point.

Then of course there's the fact that whatever arbitrary number the cap is set at has no affect on how long it'll take to reach that cap. The highest you can get in GW is 20 no matter which of the 3 campaigns you're playing, yet you still manage to reach the cap faster in Factions than Prophecies. The number by itself is completely meaningless, which is why they haven't come up with one yet.

edit: Heck, GW already has what could be described as, in essence, a "no ceiling level cap." Once you reach a certain point (level 20) "levels" stop being significant (you don't gain any more attribute points, HP, or anything) but you still get small advances in the form of skill points, which aren't a big deal but do technically allow you to increase your character's potential versatility. We they're describing for GW2 is practically the same as what we currently have and people are still complaining about how Anet is ruining the game. Crazy.

Heres one that happened yesterday...

I got a blue fiery dragon sword drop during one of the zquests so as usual I went to Ascalon to give to some newbie. So asked who wanted a free fiery dragon sword in all and this guy comes to get. He then puts a gold plagueborn sword in trade window, after cancelling and telling him again that sword was free he keeps putting that sword in trade, so finally I gave up and accepted. About 10 minutes later I get a pm from him saying "hahaha that fds is much better than the one I gave you, I tricked you!" I replied "The fds was free in the first place! etc.". He then pm'd me back saying "Wtf, it was free, can I have my sword back?"

Just now, 500 gold for a run from Kamadan to Sunspear Great Hall and Champion's Dawn.

The political discussions that get going in ToA are pretty epic.

hillarious.. I get into the political discussions sometimes, mainly to derail and talk about the red haired yeti- they even worse in rata sum over the holidays

the el yeti tonic is the best ever.. stand over someones head (loin cloth to the face) and chase them around when they try to get out from under it

The dumbest thing in a long time was a PermaSin who started to take damge from Skeletons during 4h. He then started venturing off my Heal Party Range and since the other Sin did not receive as much as a single hit (killed skeletons very sleek the second they spawned), I followed him. So he took more damage, and then some, so I decided, what the heck just spam Heal Party. Even then he managed to receive enough damage to die between to buttonpresses to go from 98% health to death.

After that he really hit the ceiling. To make matters even more bizarre a French team member was getting angry at him for sending the Mobbers away instead of them being backup and also trying to tell him how it was not my fault. It was bizarre having the A/E rage at me in English and a A/D rage at the A/E in French. The second A/E started pointing out how he did not die of two skeletons and then it was on for real. Because this could only mean I had to be reported for... ...I don't know really.

I tell you, this guy spend more time raging and blaming his death on me than the entire run had taken at that time. Even took the time to PM me later. I wonder if he ever understood what the French guy wrote him. In any case, the dumbest thing I heard in a long time.

Today while halfway thru a HM Destruction's Depth run with a pug.

Dervish: Oh man, I just now noticed I have an empty skill slot.

At that point the warrior ragequit.

Fighting the Norn, most of us managed to hit 60 DP, but we pressed on and eventually made it to the final fight. At that point I burned some clovers to help out. Nobody could figure out why their DP disappeared until someone mentioned that it was because we had zoned into the Central Transfer Chamber. They said that DP always disappears at this point in the quest because of the Great Dwarf Blessing you get in here.
