Not really sure what point you're trying to make, but it's easy to have spent $200 on Guild Wars. A lot of us bought the games as soon as they were released, which is easily $180, not including taxes or collector's editions. Add a couple character slots or whatnot and there's you're limit.
Anyway, I agree with Kakumei and many others who made the same point... Anet is a business. Sure, we spent our one time cash, but by keeping us happy, they're getting more money whether it's a monthly fee or not. If I enjoy playing the game, I will suggest a friend buy it, who in turn suggests his friend buy it, and so on and so forth. If I'm unhappy, I either won't mention it, or will suggest that they DON'T buy it. I'm sure the latter is bad for business...
