You know though, if these are the only problems to arise... then this is a success. Really, a little bit of confusion, maybe some rearranging but it's just because us Guild Wars players are jumping at the chance to have a copy of this in our hands.

I just pre-orderd the Factions Colector's Edition but I cant find any place that knows if it will also include the Devince Aura.
I only have the standard GW and I would actually like to have the devine aura. And since you will be able to merge the accounts, would buying and merging Factions Collector's give you devine aura in Tyria aswell or just Cantha?
Its been wrecking my head for a while now.

Is this the "key-only & download the software" pre-order, or the "boxed with some extra junk and will be released three weeks later" pre-order? Or is it even the regular game, and not pre-order version at all?

Yeah, but did I pre-order the pre-order BOXED, did I pre-order the pre-order DOWNLOAD, or did I pre-order the FULL STANDARD GAME. That's the question.

I also preordered at amazon.co.uk, and although I am pretty sure it is the boxed version of the game (or so I thought when I confirmed the order) I totally agree with Numa on the fact that I CANNOT BE SURE at all about what I just ordered and spent my money on.
So, please more clarification on what is what from Anet's part would be more than welcome for EU players!

Good question Nightmare - at Gaile's last Lions Arch session she said she hadn't heard about Divine Aura for CE this time, but she would look into it.
She also denied ever hearing of an extra character slot for CE, which is listed on many european CE preorder lists.
Her official word was that the lists out now are not Anet's, and therefore likely/potentially incorrect until the official release of the CE package.

I checked this morning and Amazon now has the pre-order disc in addition to "regular" factions. It's kind of weird, but you have to "combine orders" to get the preorder. Anyway, I did it this morning.

the handling of this whole preorder thing for people outside the us, and especially people outside the shipping range of european stores peddling the boxed version is really rather poor.
yes there is a question in here and yes the other preorder thread is getting nowhere in this direction. unmerged = win.

Boxed preorder packages in Europe end of month. (I don't want to say March 31st and get caught in that same shipped date/shelf date mixup, so let's just say "around March 31st.")
Online orders possible as of March 3rd for Europe, but you'll not get a box.

also amazon does from what I hear. I'll keep an eye on this thread; I work at GAME and if I hear anything about us having the boxed preorder (if head office bothers to let us know for once instead of just send it out on the day *rolleyes*) then I'll let people know who would rather get that than go online.

side question: (if im interpreting this right from what US.Amazon is saying there) It does say the preorder package will come ahead of the release right? @ no extra charge. something about limited time on shipping savings, etc...because usually, Amazon makes you either wait for all items ordered w/ free shipping (in one delivery), or they make you pay a fee for shipping items separately.

I did it last year but through gameplay and they sent the game the day before (because of the 24hr access thing). Got it from game coz i get 30% staff discount now
hehe, plus they didn't do the preorder last year, but even if they send it on the actual release date, I'm assuming that if you attempt to log in 24 hours early with the access key, then it will stream the game to your client anyway, since technically you don't need a cd for this game.

I think you have to pay upfront for the boxed version of Guild Wars Factions in the UK. Unlike in the US, in Europe we will not receive that pre-sale disk..

Is the pre-order on the Game website for the standard edition of Factions though? I want to pre-order but get the collectors edition, so get the extra stuff from pre-ordering and the extra stuff that comes with the collectors edition.

The strange thing is, doesn't NC Soft have a whole online set up for buying games online? I remember going to their site when playing demos of CoH and Auto Assault, and entering in all these codes, and having options to buy full retail versions of the game and monthly fees their.

hmm i don't know why but amazon has now lowered the price of the preorder combination with the pre-order disc to 44.99 which means i will have to cancel my order again and reorder and get more -2$ charge on my credit card for swiping fee's. Ive already canceled and reordered it when they finally added the damn presale disc.

here is my reciept that i got from amazon this is what it says before they changed the price to $44.99 the shipment dates seem a little weird to me. What should i do if they do not ship it on those dates?

If memory serves, it was mentioned that the ch.2 factions collector's will "unlikely" include the divine aura, but would be something different.
It would definitely be a major turn-off, if players that bought the ch.1 collector's already, and find that the divine aura "again" was the main special thing for ch.2 collector's. It wouldnt be much of a collector's...

yes its for standard but we have the collectors one in our in-store listings; I'd suggest waiting for the CE to be put up on the website (probably not there coz it hasn't been confirmed by anet or something yet) and if it gets close to the date for the preview, preorder the normal. You can always cancel after you've used that access key and just buy a CE from the store. If I hear anything I'll let you know
