omg that's so tight im buying preorder lol.

Maybe one of us was talking to a moron, but the guy I talked to over the phone 5 minutes before I posted definitely told me, "yup, we got it." Give 'em a call and check again.

Is it $10 again at Best Buy? I might get it through EBGames this time if EB has it for $5 again...kind of need the money right now...but its GW...I have to buy it!

Just curious, why did you customize them?

Or do they customize auto when you use the key?

All the preorder items are automatically customized (like armor) so that your account is the only one that can use them.

I mean, these weapons are useless unless you are an Assassin or Ritualist...

You just type /preorder, and whatever character you are on will have them in their inventory, customized for that character. Also everytime you make a new character, it will have your preorder items sitting in your inventory already.

You can just delete them if you don't want them taking up space, and then anytime you want to get them back, just go to town again and type /preorder.

My staff is shooting arrows -.-

O.O I want a arrow-shooting staff...maybe it will work with Ranger skills...hmm...a Quickshot staff build...

Kind of new to this whole presale thing... how do I get these items on my rp character? :/ My PvP was automatically granted them but /preorder hasn't worked for either of them.

If they don't give you a pre-order package, you definitely want to ask about it. They are free and they can get more, but if you wait too long, supplies may run out.
Simply tell them that if they can't be troubled to help get one for you, that you'll take your business elsewhere.

Though, since EB and Gamestop are owned by the same company now, I suppose there's really no such thing in a lot of places x_X

I also went to gamestop and I was about to be in your same boat, he gave me recipte and said to call back in a couple weeks, but thats when you have to be straight up with whoever the clerk is and make sure they understand what you want and that your deposit entitles you to that item as soon as it becomes available in their store.

I was straight up with him and he uncovered the special pre-order pack he had behind the counter and I got to see what was inside and he gave me a specefic date on when their store would receive it (This tuesday) And said to come in then to get it.

What does a pre-order package include.. Man Ive searched everywhere. Is it the expansiongame Factions? Is it just a code?

Does it include the game, and can u play the game when its officially released? I dont get it ;s

The staff only seems to give me 5 energy. And it shoots arrows. Something's telling me we shouldn't have these items yet

I visited 3 of the 4 websites that are selling factions (BTW this is for the UK)

Also buy the non collectors edition that they offer, is that the normal pre order pack? and will i get sent the extra stuff early?

good job pre-order doesn't cost anymore than standard otherwise i would not be bothering with the pre-order.why do these look crap when compared to the asian pre items(in looks and stats)when the asian pre items look amazing.

Got mine on Saturday at the Best Buy near Pittsburgh, PA at Century III. They only had about 4 copies on the shelf. Was $10, includes CD, ref card, access codes, and a tip booklet like the previous preorder package. The good thing about it is it doesn't have "exclusive Best Buy preorder" labels on it, so the preorder items might be universal.

Anyone hear if it's been released in Canada yet?

I live in Buffalo, NY and i called the EB games and they will have the pre order package in stock this coming friday maby and game stop near here also said the same thing sometime this weekend

Anyone heard anything from Amazon.com yet? An expected date or anything?

I will check into this, but please know, neither NCsoft or ArenaNet is mailing out pre-order packages! I'm a little confused by the answer. The fact is, retailers who are offering the pre-order package will be receiving them any day now. We anticipate that stores will have them between March 7th and 10th, and as you have seen, a few stores have them already.

It's possible that some stores are not offering the pre-order package, but only the ability to preorder the game, meaning there are not bonuses except the convenience of having a copy of Factions reserved for you (and possibly shipped out quickly upon release). Do understand that if you preorder from a company that isn't offering the pre-order package, we are not able to provide you with that package.

Getting the pre-order pack is between the customer and the retailer. You can go to a store and pick up the pre-order package at the time you place your deposit, and whatever you pay is supposed to be applied to the cost of the game at release. You may have already pre-ordered from your favourite retailer, in which case, when that store gets the pre-order packages, you can take your receipt to the store and request your copy of the pre-order pack, and most stores are happy to give you one. And you can pre-order online, and some vendors will send you the pre-order package now, and then ship the game when it comes out later. Lastly, I've heard of a few stores that don't want to mail the pre-order package but will give you the access key for the event. (Frankly this last one makes me nervous because the same key could be given more than once, since you're not seeing a sealed box in your hands. I have heard that with some stories it has worked, though. It depends on the reliability of the retailer, and I'm sure the vast majority are extremely honest and careful about the process. I hate to see anyone missing the cool pre-order box and contents, though. It's really neat looking!)

I've mentioned before, but it bears repeating: Stores do not pay for the pre-order. The cost of the pre-order is borne entirely by NCsoft. This means a couple of things: The full amount of your deposit is expected to be applied to the cost of the game. If you pay $10, then you get the game for $10 less, come release day. I heard of a store that was actually selling the pre-order without applying the price to the cost of Guild Wars. If you know of such an instance, let us know, because that's not the way it's supposed to work. Now of course they can have a price sticker on the box, but make sure you are in the books or on the order log or in their computer as having made a deposit with the amount you are charged for the pre-order. That means a net cost to you of $0 for the pre-order, or you can figure the pre-order cost you $X, but the game cost you -$X because of the deposit.

Trust me, we love Canada. Nobody is going to be shorted, and certainly not the neighbors to the north.

All packages for the NA preorder were shipped at the same time. Granted it may take an extra day or two to reach, say, Prince Edward Island or the Northwest Territories because of distance, but it'll get there, and we're hoping it'll get everywhere in NA by end of week or start of next week for sure! *cross fingers*

Can you choose from a list or something what Item you get when you preordered?

Anyone know the release date of Faction? From the official site it says 31st of March for pre-order customer. From most online retail site, it says 28th of April, so which one is correct?

I'm pretty sure you get both special items when you preorder.

From what i've been seening its april 26th. the 24th of match is the event for everyone that has guildwars

ZOMG! I have to get the preorder box in my hands right now, because even though I have Guild Wars Chapter 1, I still need to have the key that lets me play 24 hours early IN MY HANDS, because after all, that event is a month from now!!!

All the codes are on pieces of paper included in the preorder box.

I called up my local EB on friday to see if they had goten the pre-order package in and they said they were expecting a something to come in that day but it never showed up..then he told me that there was a box coming in on monday but he didn't know if the pre-order package was inside it.......i guess i'll have to call in 2morro and see

I went to Best Buy today and it wasnt on the shelves. I asked an associate and she looked in the back. After waiting for about 10 monites I was about to leave when she came out with about 10 copies! I was very excited.

A couple things bother me though. I put in my pre-order key, but when I look at "manage my keys," it only mentions the pre-order event. Nothing about the game itself. Also, I get the new pre-order weapons when I make a new PvP char, but in PvE when I try "/preorder" or "/presale" I get nothing.

i added my key at about 11am EST on thursday, it didnt even have a skin then. equiping the items added a huge white box around my whole body.
some other people must have done it to in random arena because within about 10 minutes they added a skin and i wasnt a big white block anymore.

Yeah, how does stacking accounts work exactly? anyone wanna shed some light on that?

You get the actual game key when you get the actual game. This is just a preorder so if you don't already have a GW account or did not link it to your existing GW account, you would get a non playable account that only allows you to play in the upcoming event and allow you to play the day before the GW:F release. After the release you should be able to add the real GW:F key and play.

EB games guy: No its coming till May 1st (he meant a pridiction of the game itself)

Does anyone know where the heck I can get the preorder package in Canada in stores?

I'm actually having the same problem as Woody, and I think that this is incorrect. The preorder key should be for the unique items, and we've already gotten the items on our new characters, so logically, if having the items comes from using the preorder key, and we have the items, then we have used the preorder key. However, this isn't indicated anywhere, nor can we get these preorder items on existing characters, just new ones that we make.

I've sent an email to support about this, hopefully they'll reply.
