i Dont know if you have look guys but the games ships on the 4/27/06 tha means it is april not march.

The pre-order package was supposed to be available on Tuesday, Feb. 28.

I'm not sure there has been an "official" release date for Factions, although EB Games tells me it's 4/28/06. (Friday, April 28)

All right, I'll mention this here. DDO just recently came out and you could pre-order it as well and play before you received the box. The way they did this was to allow you to download the game client online (which we know you can do all ready from GuildWars.com) then they sent you a CD key number through email. When you received the box later on you got all the goodies. I imagine that Guild Wars is doing a similar thing. So it doesn't matter if you don't have the box or items in hand before the release date. They'll most likely send you the key and your friend's key that's included through email.

They did not participate in the first pre-order, or any pre-orders for any other games for that matter that I know of, at least not the one here.

Use the list provided by the main site - EBgames, Best Buy, etc. If you dont have one of those local then order it online or something from one of them. Target participated in the pre-order for the first one, so you can try them too.

I stopped into the EB store here on the 28th - of course they did not have it out yet. I'm not too worried though. I'll wait and see, maybe check today, maybe tomorrow or next week.

Yes, and the release dates for the pre-order package, according to the GW site, are Feb 28th for North America, and March 3rd/March 31st for Europe

The full game may be released at the end of April, but the pre-order package is a bonus for those of us who pre-order, and for those who want the key to access the preview weekend on March 24th

as far as i know, if they DO make a ce (and server gods, i hope so, i ordered it thru GAME already...)

it wount have the same items the pre-order pack had, but something else...maybe more of the glowwy hands, or a skill ect like the vannillaGW had.

On the official GW site under Faction FAQs they say there will be a CE and it'll be out at the same time as the standard edition. They don't say what it will be though.

North America gets a kit, Europe has a key only and kit version.

Refer to the thread with Gaile being onilne today. The preorder pack shipped on on the 28 of Feb and won't be in stores till next week (March 7 to 10 or so)

The wal-mart here actually did have the first pre-order package, I went in tuesday and asked and the first two people had no idea, but someone else said that they had gotten the first pre-order pack for the original guild wars but they hadn't heard anything about factions pre-order pack.

So does anyone have the pre-order pack yet?

I just wanted to mention something somewhat related.

Gamestop and Ebgames online advertised the full game's box using the preorder box graphics/look.

While @ Amazon.com/.ca (which I recently just noticed) finally had a box cover of the full game (I guess a small update to their site) which was totally different from others had advertised before. Again, Im not confirming it's gonna look like that, It does look like just a concept, but it does look nice. /IMO.

(check out the box if you havent seen it yet.)

(and o' I can't wait to see what the Collector's Ed. might look like.lol)

Yes, I saw the box art from Amazon.com this afternoon. Thought about starting a new thread about that, but didn't have time to post. It really looks nice and real. And I'm still waiting for the information of the CE, or I would've pre-ordered when the price on Amazon.com was still $39.99, now it's $49.99

since it's been confirmed that preorder packages will be available next week (7th-10th?), then when it's physically available for everyone instore/online. The people who preordered early should contact/email the retailer and inform them of their order and that they are entitled to the "preorder package" (at no cost if online - and of course deposit instore.).

Be specific and pretty sure they will understand the situation. If there's a chance they dissmiss/ignore this, cancel and re-order again w/ the preorder package clearly available with it this time.

yes there is CE for faction as NCsoft announced in the webpage gw official

u can read FAQ Faction:

but still no CE until now and they may release it after 2 - 3 weeks

just wait and dont worry, if u want the CE just wait and they will update their news

True, but the specifications of the SE and the CE are axactly the same (there seems only to be a difference in price). This will probably be updated as soon as the CE-contents are revieled by Anet, but untill then, I'm not placing an order for any CE-package

I was told that the money I put down for the Pre-order can also be used for the CE.

I can't think of a reason why that wouldn't be true.

(You can't technically reserve the CE yet, because it's "not in the system," is what I was told. But the guy is aware I want it, and as soon as it's in "the system," I'm planning on reserving a copy).

This question is coming up a lot, I just answered it on another thread.

What I was told by EB Games is that the money I put down for Factions could also be applied for the CE if I decide to reserve it instead.

So there's no reason, as far as I can tell, not to reserve a copy of Factions if you want the pre-order package.

I believe they shipped the 28th, it takes time for them to be delivered. One poster in another thread here stated the best buy person looked it up and it appears they would arrive at his best buy store friday.

Got it, trying to get our scanner back online so I can post scans. That Best Buy had 18 copies listed in the system for receipt but it only looked like maybe 10-12 were left on the shelf.

I still haven't gotten any word from Amazon about the pre-order. I went to my local BB and they STILL didn't have it. I didn't really expect it since Gaile was saying 3/7-3/10 range, but I thought I'd take a look anyway.
