Sholtar, who ever said I play the game "
just for the sake of fake money"? I already mentioned what I do with the money and that I play other aspects of the game as well. But even if someone was only out to make money that's their business and there's nothing wrong with that. How is that different from someone wanting to pay 60k for armor who's stats are identical to 1.5k armor just because it looks "cool"?
Am I saying you aren't entitled to your opinion? Certainly not. You might feel it's "stupid" for you to do the same, but that has no relevance to anyone other than yourself. It is naive to think it applies to anyone else.
Farming isn't a repetitive experience. The challenge of farming is that it takes a lot of time and effort to balance a build to be successful at it. Specialized building for solo farming is actually a whole different dimension of the game - just ask anyone who does it. To solo farm you have to learn the various AIs in the game to a greater degree than with group quests - even fissure runs. Learning how to negotiate an Arcanist's hexes while fighting off Lvl 24 griffins or taking on 4 hill giants and 2 imps is a challenge.

When I do a fissure run and get a ruby, I don't say, "Mission accomplished," I say, "Hey that's cool, let's get on with the quest."

Do you think I do that? You also assume a farmer abandons a mission when they get a nice drop. That's not what farmers do -
that's what inconsiderate players do. And FYI - when I'm in the FoW or UW I go for quests and, as a rule, I
never leave prematurely - even when 4 or 5 people have already abandoned the team because of high DP. I don't go for "smite runs" - I don't believe in them.
This is how you describe "Fissure Runs:"

Add to this all the incredibly easy experience, and how fun it is to run the Fissure...

Well, I might argue that going for the "easy experience" rather than a challenging task is rather pointless. But I accept that what you find to be "fun" may be different than what I find. But I'd never characterize your interests as "stupid."
Furthermore, if negotiating prices and earning money from the raw materials market wasn't a part of the game then there wouldn't be a supply/demand price structure or a trade channel. All prices would be fixed. Making money and bartering IS a part of the game. Everyone seems to recognize that but you.
I'm not going to convince you to emulate me. And I never said you aren't entitled to your opinion. I merely voiced my opinion in response. I rest my case.
