Elite Mission Available to All ?

Its rather obvious that many of the people in this thread havent played other MMORPGS. The er, ---- "blocking" of areas was pretty standard in at least 4 different ones ive played. In 2 of them, it was sorta a fundemental of high end play due to the game mechanics in place. Actually i was kinda anticipating this when they announced alliances in the first place.
The band just played on as it were, when i was brining this up months ago though. In a way im kinda surprised its only happening with one faction though.

I know it's pretty standard fare for things like this but again we as an alliance don't feel that way. Being that we're closing in on Cavalon we're making our plans known and that whoever is with the idea can help out if they want. For the next alliance to take Cavalon if you want to make it exclusive again that's your choice.

Hello, I am from the guild Chest Farmers Anonymous[Keys] and we are in The Crusaders Alliance. We currently have 550k faction, which was all farmed by 3 ppl in a few days. We onyl have 5 members at the moment and we are really looking for more people. If you want to join to help us make a push for Cavalon then contact either Man Who Lost Tooth (me) or Screaming Blade (leader). Thanks, and I hope The Deep will be open to all soon.

Ok, so as I said donate some faction if you would like to keep Cavalon open. Your right on the point ANet needs to address it but until they do why not contribute to make sure we keep hold of Cavalon and keep access to all. As has been stated farming is not a skill based thing to do and if anyone needs help on gaining a lot of faction quick I'd be more than happy to help them.
As I've said before we're doing just fine on our own with over 5 mil faction under 8 guilds but if people wanted to contribute that would be fine and we'd have a better shot at controlling and keeping Cavalon. We aren't restricting access to current owners if we take it I don't think it was mentioned by anyone in our alliance and if it was it wasn't said with any seriousness.
To post above same to you guys and yes we've made quite a bit of progress through the night between at most 15 (maybe more) in alliance. Now that people are comming on things should get interesting.

Not that I think everyone should be allowed into the elite, work for it if you want it that bad, I personally hear it's not so great anyways. I don't know why everyone thinks they need to whine about it so they get free stuff. In other games these people are called beggers, in this one they are "trying to improve the game". People need to get a life and realise that they can't get hand-fed everything.

| The leading guild would still be allowed access. What the op and their guild plan to do is open it to everyone. Very noble of them and all the power to them. |

| How about if that new alliance refused to allow any of the current controlling guild members into the mission. Then that alliance would break up and would no longer pose a problem to this idea. |
Just to clear things up, I've never been on an elite mission and my alliance is not even remotely close to taking a city. And yet I still find other things to do. Also, none of this is directed negatively torward TC (With the exception of the idea of not letting the previous alliance into the missions) and if they wish to open them up then it's their own choice, be it of wisdom or folly, giving or greed.

I would just like to note that We have not got any donations and that is completely fine, The Crusader alliance will take Cavalon regardless. Donations will just make it quicker.
There was a bit of controversy tonight, a guild (GOL) had promised to join us with 1.3M faction, but there is obviously a mole in one of our guilds, because literally 15 minutes after they had promised to join us, Black Blades contacted them and they joined Black Blades. They feel they are safe...how safe are they? we have literally half their members and are only 1M short of them?

The OP is not part of our alliance he was making points of suggestion on how to take out the controlling guild. Being that we had planned on giving access to all when we got Cavalon we thought it would be good to respond. If you read the rest of OP's posts you can see he's not in TC. We have already decided that we would not deny access to anyone as we feel that with the people we have working we'd be able to maintain Cavalon as we're catching up more and more. Only reason they're ahead is because of 2 guild acquisition. We on the other hand are still at 8 guilds steady gaining steam.
As for the donations we saw it suggested and thought it might not be such a bad idea for people that wanted to contribute to keeping the deep open to all that we were open to it. We also don't place strict rules enforcing everyone to farm all day or whatever and we still are catching up to Cavalon. This is basically work being done by people with one common goal in mind: To allow access to the elite mission for all. No more no less do we work hard? Damn right we do and you know what? I will feel as if the hard work I've personally put in will be worth it all when we overtake Cavalon and open access to the deep.

1... It's better to keep them distracted!
2... We're not like them!
3... They should learn to play nice, maybe they'll learn by example.
Why should a handful of people control an area? To artificially inflate the prices of virtual loot? That's greed in the worst way! It's a game. I don't like sandbox bullies. The idea behind the elite mission is that everyone should have a turn. Yet, when one guild decides they want to keep it all for themselves... a more just guild has to put them in their place.
The Crusaders is ranked #2. We would have had The Deep open for all last night, if not for last minute tretchery. That's OK... we're still going after them If you want to join us, there's still plenty of room.
We're also throwing a faction farming competition right now...
http://forums.photics.com/showthread.php?t=2684
The one that donates the most faction in 48 hours wins a collector's edition mini-dragon!
Other members of the alliance are throwing in prizes too!

Wow this thread makes me all warm and fuzzy...I think it's a great idea though becase the current system is just plain moronic. My guild has yet to join an alliance but I'm sure that farming faction is no different than farming items. We'd be happy to help this endevaour out once we hit cavalon, we've got some slackers in the guild. LoL
