The Biggest Jerk You Ever Encountered in GW (no posting names)

Haha, that's brilliant. I think it's shame GW doesn't have more options how to punish a jerk like that....or at least I don't know them. I mean, in Battlefield 2, if a jerk from my own team shoots my helicopter from tank for the 5th time, I turn around and unload all the rockets into him, not caring about the minus points I get. But here...well I can stop healing him if I'm a monk, or drop bonds, but that's it.

I must be really lucky so far as I havent had a single problem while grouping or anything. I mean some of the general chat is a bit barrensish for anyone who has ever played wow. The people I have grouped with so far have all been really nice and I havent not completed any missions/quests.

Guess time will tell :P

One time i met this monk in the ring of fire. It was abbodons mouth. We started the mission and she started acting a little loopy and then just generaly stoped healing... it was evil! I had to heal every one it was the worst. So we go on and it was a really good team so we still went on and we were winning. This person would not heal us and was spaming the chat really bad. He pinged the map like crazy and everything. He even drew enemys to us that we would not have had to fight. So we went on and we lost... dang him. Then i went back to Abbodons. I got in another group and... there she was... this time i was fed up... i didnt care how much the group hated me i was not going to heal. I was just going to let them beat the mission for me and i would get through the game, the same predicambent that she presented my old team. This time the stinking monk decided to play inoccent. She told them that she was just trying to play the game and that i was being really mean to her. All the while she was PMing me say haha!! they hate you. I didnt care. I just wanted to get through this stupid mission. Well it ended up that we lost. I got my revenge!! haha well thats my story... yea...

In UW last night with a pet barrage group, doing pretty well. On the second level I ran out and back to agro the popups. Suddenly my char popped back to the center, surrounded by grasp and dying fast. Lag I guess, because I had already made it to the ramp. Then someone on my team called me a moron and a stupid noob. I left, no reason to spend another hour with this guy.

pretty much everyone who tries to rip off players with over-priced items and spams local channels (all but trade) with WTS, WTB

Was watching EW and EviL game and just joking around with some friends on observer chat. I was saying "Go Evil" and their guild lord was being heavily bombarded. When their guild lord finally dies this guys says "Shut up lord mendes ur a noob anyway u arent watching the game and cheering for a team thats losing!".
I pm him and tell him that he was right, I am a noob and i should b more like him... an 11 year old (no offence guys) brat that thinks that he is better than everyone else. And i later on tell him and all the people that were pretending to fight with me are friends and guildies.
He then tells me that he tends to just ignore idiots... and puts me on the ignore list.
The funny thing is he can turn the observer chat off if he wanted to, yet he decided to reply and tell me im a noob!

On the day that Ob Mode was released...within 30 sec of me entering Ob Mode I had turned off Ob Chat as it was filled with aholes, just as Local Chat is in towns. Ob Chat aholes are worse than Local Chat aholes tho in that they always have to prove how l337 they are & how everyone else are nothing but n00bz.

Okay this is officially the biggest jerk ever...
I do runs in Thirsty River with my Minion Master, I usually have the people fight with me to make the mission go faster and easier for myself. Anyways, this one run a level 6 (Going to be a 55 build smite monk) joins my party.. The guy has 15 hp. So it was basically like doing the run with 4 people (My healing partner wasn't with me) anyways, first run not so bad he dies often and eventually it handicaps our team to the point of failing.. Some people leave I replace them and we try again, same problem.. Third run someone told me to kick the level 6 smite monk because he was ruining for everyone else, I refused because the smite monk was the first to join my party. The smite monk asked if he was a burden, which I honestly told him he was, but I wasn't going to give up and was going to complete the mission for him. All goes well the fourth time, when it comes time to pay, he drops the party and logs off scamming me..

One time very late I was observing the tournament matches. Me being a pvp noob had alot of questions, the only other guy observing that match at that time was pretty much the same. We ended up having a nice conversation / discussion about it and ran into each other in the next match. After that one we started arranging it so we were both in the same matches and we added each other to our friends lists. The guy became a great friend, and we're arranging it now so our two guilds will be allied when factions comes out

So observer chat isn't all that bad.

Was doing hell's precipice the other day, first attempt and last because we beat the mission no thanks to a stupid Necro I won't name.

The mission starts out, everyone is battling, we get the Titan kill spawn thing down and the Necro says "brb, 2 mins I promise" well five mins later... necro has not moved and a monk had to keep healing her because she was taking fire from those occasional meteors. Finally we decided to go on without her like 5-10 mins later I don't remember which and just when we had cleared most of the map and had quite forgotten her... who shows up? You betcha it was the necro... Oh and look she brought friends... a pile of titans who had otherwise been no were near where we had been because we had cleared off the map. She had no reason to aggro them when trying to catch up.

Needless to say we almost lost it there thanks to her with the titans we were already fighting PLUS the ones she brought with her. But we manage to pull it off and we move on. We're at the three portal points with the wraith guards and bosses and what not and our ranger goes to pull. Didn't matter how many times we yelled "STOP you stupid ****ing necro b**ch" she kept running on ahead and messing up the pull, aggroing everything she could.

Finally she says "Fine I'll just leave." and did the /sit. Now nothing bugs me more then someone joining a group and just doing nothing for a free ride. That "vote for player kick while in mission" idea is such a sweet idea I don't know why we don't have it yet. It would have been a 7-1 vote and that idiot would have been voted off the island.

So we agro a couple titans and she dies, we dance and a couple in the group with collector edition GW pissed on her head. Now of course she came back to life at the Rurik cutscene but died again and we never delt with or heard from her after that.

She was quite the pain in the backside and probably played by whats a common theme... immature lil 12 year old brat.

Mine:

I was in PvP in Lion's Arena a few weeks ago when I joined a group that had 2 consecutive wins in the arena. Apparently, one of their players left, and I just so happened to be the replacement. My Pvp Warrior/Elementalist, a mesmer, a necro, and another warrior/monk, who happens to be the jerk. After the battle started, I casted mending and the following occured:

W (warrior): Ok, its all on you. I don't want you to ruin this for us.
Me: Ok.
(We run out to fight)
W:Go for the Ranger.
Me:Alright....
(starts hitting the ranger)
(mesmer dies)
W:OMFG NOOB! Your Supposed To heal!
Me:uhh...I don't have any healing spells man..you do
W:OMG! Your Supposez to HeAl GORE ENGINE GORE ENGINE GORE ENGINE
Meude, I'm a W/N
W:OMFG AZZ! You Suz Crap IdioT noOb WarrIoR! Can't HeAl!
Me:I can't heal. Do you know what a necromancer does?
W:Sux My AZZ.
Me:right.

(repeats this several times, while necro goes down)

Well, I map back to arena and change districts. He contiued to spam me, so I blocked him. Thats all. Thank Arenanet for ignore lists.

After reading all 57 pages of this post (not all in one go) I have come to a conclusion:

Judging by the jerks listed herein, If you happen to differ in opinion to them they tend to call you a noob.

Also if you don't take the build THEY have you are also a noob, regrdless of the fact that there are hundreds of builds for a reason, if everyone had the same build it would be called "Guild Stalemate" Not Guild Wars!

Well, technically the Fiery Flame Spitter had a higher chance of fast skill recharge at one point. Then it got nerfed. From what I've heard, the pre-nerfed ones are, in fact, pretty rare.

If he was trying to say that his w/el cast mending -- then, yeah, that does seem confusing. And impossible. But his post was not as easy to read as, say, the annotated federal civil code, so I can not be certain what he was saying.

I saw it... I thought it was made up.

All in one shot he says that he is a W/E, a W/N, and cast mending. Err..not only can you not change classes in battle but a necro, warrior, nor elementalist can cast mending.

Most important parts i will leave... notice he actualy says 4 different things...

Delete this post if you want, but there are four other people who can verify that doing TR with a certain 'Guild' , that this person went to the end and then logged off. ON PURPOSE! A griefer, for sure. I was then accused of being his "buddy". Assholes. Too many immature ppl playing since Xmas. (notice I didn't say kids.) I hope they grow bored real soon, or GW will go down as the best game I want to never play again.

One in Ascalon was in a bad mood cause a necro wouldnt tell one guy where he got his tatts from. So the guy started spamming "SELLING AR*E PENETRATING DILDO FROM [necro]" lol I mean WTF are these kids upto nowadays. Then when I said he should be quiet, he ran about looking at female players and saying "I would bend her over" lol


So much immaturity in the game its unreal.

I have met many jerks around for the past 6 months playing GW. They fall into many categories and the one I tend to forgive are actually the worst lot - mission jerks who loves to aggro with no sense, ninja loot, go for drops at the cost of mish, etc. They probably live in their own world and may not have played as much with PUGs.
Just wished Anet will add the functions to ping total skill points/experience pts, storage gold, quest complete log, etc just to add to your credibility when you try to explain things nicely to these misguided lot. Hey, I m no expert, but at least I keep an open mind and is learning to curb my bad temper

On with the story...

The first and most memorable jerk I have met is in desert when I have just ascended my monk and is LFG for Ranger's Path. I was 12th lvl when i arrived in desert with 7 henchies from ToA via Sanctum Cay mish. I was 14th lvl after 3 mish + some quest and before ascension. With 50k exp, that brought me to 19th lvl after ascension. Ranger's Path is pretty tough cos of the 4 mobs of 4 scarabs that spawn around the boss. The conversation went something like this when I was LFG for the quest...

me: LFG Ranger's Path
farkaroo: LFG Ranger's Path...invite self

me send request to join - got accepted - got kicked within 2 secs

me pming farkaroo: hey, what's wrong?
farkaroo: I m doing Ranger's Path
me: so am I
farkaroo: you can't cos u have not ascended
me: if I have not ascended, why and how did I get the quest.
farkaroo: you can't be ascended cos u r 19th lvl
me: ascension means getting 50k xp, not auto 20th lvl
farkaroo: no, you get to 20th lvl
me ( irritated then): I was 14th level when I attempted ascension, with 50k xp I get 19th level. That also implies that I am more skilled than you are, noob
[ok, I m being mean...cos i failed to mentioned that i m lazy to do all mish and quest in between as well]

after 3 secs of stunned silence....

[I was not sure of the bonus xp for defeating doppleganger within 40secs so I search the info in web for some facts, after I knew it was 1k and wanted to retort his remark with a smirk...]

That's actually pretty funny! If I remember correctly, ascension was originally set up to automatically jump a player to level 20 regardless of what level they were, then they nerfed it to give 50,000 XP instead.

It's hard being a healer.. every now and then you get one noob, not to mention thousands of other that just hate you, they say you suck at healing and the rest of it... here's my classic example in screenshot form:

Note the healer hench running up to the warriors... from the right u see noone is "dead" yet.. the most dmg you can even see from pic is the healer hench's... looks like front guy has almost full health....

i've come to the conclusion that jerk-ness in online gaming is an aquired trait. take for example, my good friend charlie. charlie's a really nice kid, always polite, gets really good grades, very athletic, etc. he took up playing online games about the same time i did, which was WAY back. at first i did not notice any changes. in fact, there are very little changes to notice. however, as soon as he logs onto an online game, he becomes something completely different. he becomes the biggest jerky leet-speaking retard we all comes to hate. as soon as he logs off, he's back to normal. i asked him about it, and he shrugged and said: "it's how i'm supposed to act, right?"

moral of the story: jerky-ness breeds jerky-ness. to stop the awful spread of this debilitating disease, we should execute every 10th (yeah, decimate!!!) jerk we see online, and this problem should quickly solve itself.

I've put together a few pet/barrage groups for HOH UW before, and never had a problem with a ranger with 15-13 marksmanship.

Furthermore, the party leader decided to kick me, and keep the rude guy. Gotta love greed.

Ya, mo's are probly the hardest class to be in terms of bein yelled at. If the warr runs ahead and aggros a bunch a guys and dies, it's your fault. If a caster is being attacked by a bunch a guys and the warr is doing nuttin to stop it and that caster dies, it's your fault. *sigh* it's just no fair, but i luv mo's just the same
