Pages time out for periods of 30 mins every 30 mins, database errors display every week or so, not all the CSS loads, sometimes thread pages just spit out .php warnings, infact, trying to open this thread, i had to wait 30 mins because of a timeout.

This site is the absolute slowest site on the internet. In the past, I've offered help and hope that it would get faster. Nothing has changed. Sorry guys, but I'm about ready to cancel my membership and remove the site from my bookmarks. This is the only forum site I visit that is so unreliable and slow, and there are larger sites in my list.

There's more then just Guild Wars Guru on these servers everyone. Please remember we have other sites. We have a dedicated HTTP server for GWG, but share our database server with WoWGuru. It's the database server, which includes forums and auctions that needs more CPU. As I stated before, we have the specs for the new server and are currently in the process of getting that server. I don't have an update yet but as soon as I do I'll let you all know.

I think that the bottom line is that the site/server is owned by 1 person, and it requires him to act. (ie from what i can recall, Inde has said it is out of her hands)

Anywhere from 30 seconds to a couple of minutes to load a page (weekday morning for me, mid afternoon GMT), but more often than not it refuses to load the page giving me an error saying that it was unable to download data from page http...
I have never seen it do anything better than this =/, but I really love all the great info so it won't stop me from using it.

Listing an auction item is nuts. It takes me about four or five tries just to get all the pages to load properly at each step.

This site surely needs a fix. I like the community here but the forum is slow or fails to load many times. I think the software is great but needs a faster or dedicated server.
Of course, you (admins) all know this but please give it some more priority. It's really a problem here.

Love the community, the lively discussion, the fanbois and the haters, and the sheer volume of knowledge of opinions.
hate the time outs and loading times. double/triple/quintuple posts and threads. The fact that I have to copy every post and response I make instead of having to retype it all after a server error.
It's never been good, only from decent to a complete shut down. I have never seen improvements. The search feature is a joke (and Gaile has commented on this several times).

I still say part of the problem is the Ad server not the main server. When I turn off access to the ad server stream it flies. When Indie had the ad server down for some reason a few months ago it flew then too...
Consequently when people pay for the subscription it will fly cause there is no ad stream going then. And that may be the point in the end... IDK. if it is its a smart move to generate more funds for the server. However that being said it is at times very hard to participate in the conversations some times. I know several people just give up trying eventually.
Again that may be the point too, considering even I make some daft idiot posts on occasion. lol Too which I attribute my love of the game and the community when they are not being so thick you can't stand them. lol How thick can you get? ask a GW fanatic. lol
Anyways. at night it seems to be a little more manageable for me then during the day time. Lately I can not even get the main page to load during the day. Which is really frustrating if you are checking prices on the auction site for someone. But understandable too. Lets face it Guru is picking up the ball for Anet in providing that particular service. And with several thousand people a day here, I think you are doing as good a job as anyone can expect for a fan site.

I'm seeing 15 sec to a minute load in for pages, including the home page, with a 3mbps dn connection. Recently I upgraded my network card and router, and am seeing amazingly fast and consistent page load ins all over the internet. The only site I regularly vist with these problems is GWguru.
For several weeks, depending on the time of day, pages will go to an IE error page or a database error page more often than not. I love this community, but it's gotten so bad as of late that I often just close the window and move on, rather than waste time dealing with the problem, which is a shame.
I've been understanding of the server problems for a long time, but it's gone beyond the point of tolerance for me. Lately whenever I suggest ingame that someone goto guru for information, the response toward the site is often very negative, which is also a shame.
If the idea is to encourage members to go premium, it's not working - I'm certainly not encouraged to pay a monthly fee for this kind of performance.

It used to be so slow I gave up even trying to use auctions, but now it's running nice and quick (the forums at least, I haven't been to the auction part). Whatever you guys did, great job!

Horrible Horrible loadtimes. Makes doing any kind of reading completely impossible. It literally takes 5 minutes sometime for a page to load or it goes to white screen of death. I love guru but I can't even read it lately.

I know this is a free service and I cant expect somebody to just pay for super fast servers, but....normally pages take 30+ seconds to load and often just times out. Its sad because it makes me use Guru a lot less than i would have done otherwise.
