you really have to have you/your heros setup for him. your standard builds wont do it. mantra of lightning is a lifesaver and some shutdown heros...

warrior, thumpers arent that useful in PvE. pve melee needs good defense, mobs focus more on them.

if you invest that many points in BM you can get great damage out of a pet as well, and running stances, and spirits.

none of those are overpowered at all. most of them could use a buff.
