I' ve been lagging a lot too recently, last couple of days on Euro server.

No, even if you enter from the Chantry of Secrets. FoW/UW is a core area, therefore Elona's inscriptions do not apply.

Confirmed, both missions can be completed before the end of the game.

Clipping is a graphical glitch... My 15k Necrotic does it too, on the neck at the back.

I preferred the Proph way. If you needed skills in Proph, buy them. If you can wait, you got for free. Kind of an incentive to play through all...
