If the time it is held by each side is about equal, what is the point of the whole WaW thing? Intentional Inconvenience?

You'd only gain 7 or 8 energy with each ferocius strike though. Ele spell cost isn't reduced by Expertise, so energy gained is gone after...

If you don't know you haven't played long enough and would most likely not want to have it spoiled for you.
