You can access both FoW and UW from the Chantry of Secrets in Nightfall. As far as a new high end area, Anet has said that it is not available yet...

The mergoyles in NKP have become a real pain while ettin farming. They follow you forever and begin to kite like crazy if you decide to kill them.

You cannot salvage quest reward weapons. Also you can't salvage green or collector's weapons.

Over the weekend i got one dye drop in Elona and around 10 in Tyria. Seems a little strange.
