How about health the second the creature dies.... thats what happens with parasitic bond!!
Havent seen too horribly many pure beast handlers before.. this could equate to a reason why you are having soo much ease against these peeps.....

Ignorance - Hex Spell For 8-18 seconds, target foe cannot use "Signet" rings. friendly little skill... not many people use it though.
