The 15% always options are only better than ^50 when you are below 50% which IMO doesn't happen enough to justify the rather large drawbacks.
They are relatively common drops from chests in Raisu Palace, along with Mammoth Axes and Testudo Hammers.
If you open chests with a group your gold rate will be very high. Even if you chest run with 2 other people you will looking at 75%+ gold rate.
