The only way to add the same mini, is on a different character on same account. It will not advance your mini count.

If you are offline, ignoring, or away when you chat, your status autosets to online and ignore is disabled, if whispering an ignored person. Maybe?

I don't see the need for the rush to max the minis, unless you have money to burn and don't want to wait. It's not like GW2 will be...
