i agree with everything that Zling said minus the part about sins doing the most dps overall. thats only in a chain, thus meaning once recharges...

im not sure what you mean by "keep enemies alive"

i agree 100% with Nkah. takes moments to end a sins chain in many ways. dervs are usually just mostly a pest rather than any form of immediate...
