Nope... since it has been stated that u can not get the survivor title + LDOA by letting charr lvl on your pet. So they don't lvl.

It rlly shouldn't be to hard to stay alive as lvl 15 when luring the charr to the shrine. U got troll ungeont since you got a pet. So just use the longbow lure them and take some hits when they start walking back... Heal yourself and lure again... and again

There is no need for a 2nd person helping... it's only nescessary to open the gate

If u find luring with 2 ppl easier then just keep doing it

Ok, DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET!! My lvl 17 Stridor slowly, over time, killed 1 Chaot, and nearly killed the other. Here is why. I watched all this evolve with the second Chaot. Unless you target something the pet will not attack. When you die, however, the pet will attack. He was able to do some damage to the Chaot before I rezzed which caused him to spawn with me, thusly, not attacking as long as I did not attack. When I was killed the process repeated itself. Here is the major problem. The Char do not regen health while they are attacking. Except for the times both the pet and I are dead, they are constantly attacking, therefore not regening any health. Because of this my pet was able to slowly whittle down the Chaot's and eventually kill him. He can't kill the Ashen Claw because he uses Faintheartedness, which gives him a health regen. The pet ALWAYS attacked the weaker foe, the Chaot. So, when I eat lunch I will kill the Ashen Claw, then the bosses and then restart WITHOUT my pet.

And don't forget that the pet can be a real pain when u try to lure the charrs.

On a side note, while I was off to bed, I was Dleveling with 5 Charr, when I got round to killing them, one dropped a better purple bow than what is normally dropped. Does the 'item level' increase as they increase in level to a extent?

Currently Dlvling 6 Char on my other computer.

Hey, Emox, you can also get the Char "stuck" in the ruins south of where the first 2 Char groups are located and you can also get them "stuck" between the hill and stone wall that is close to the Rez shrine. I got the first group of 3stuck at the stone wall and went back for a second group of 4. One of the Char died while they killed the gate guards (there were no Shamans to heal in either group).

Also, has anyone had the Char drop a Minor Rune of Vigor. I haven't had one drop for a long time. Get lot's of Vitae runes and Attunement runes, though.

I do too quite noticed that a death leveled charr gives better drops than the normal charr. Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time getting a nice purple drop for my warrior. Most drop I got are for different profession like this chakram for example...double mod purple...very nice one!

I had a charr drop minor vigor several days ago, no death leveling. Of course I didnt have room to keep it.

:P ill have to try that ^^

once thing that im worried about when im killing the charr is if they die when im dead, i kno i have those 5 little seconds of not getting hurt, but DS and FS can be a bad thing sometimes, i try to use those first so it doesnt kill them if i happen to die

Started my first deleveling today.

I'm pleased, I thought it would have been harder to block them into the mountain. Although I noticed they get pretty much stuck everywhere, walls, the big black wall, some trees.

I pulled three groups, killed the shamans in them, had a total of 9 charrs, 6 survived to the fight at the shrine (yeah, only two groups followed me there, had to get the other one -_-)

I had a little trouble bringing them all at the shrine at the same time, but I guess with time, I'll get the grip of it.

Damned the Chaots, Energy Burn hurts when you run

Yay, the charrs are now lvl 9 !

LOL, grats on lvl 16 Lilanthe. I am still 50% short. I am trying not to get in a big hurry for this as I think I would make myself go nuts if I did! So, I am just going to take my time, and when I get there, I get there. I even still Dlvl outside of Berradin's at times because I am to lazy to take the time to pull the Char or take the time to kill the Char bosses. Try and do both of those at least once a day, then the rest of the time whatever I am feeling energetic enough to do, I do.

im gonna say this one more time

i do NOT have a lvl 20, or the attentionspan to obtain
btw im back and was on for a bit last night(like 15 mins)
i made this guide to help other people that want a lvl 20 get one, frankly im satisfied with a lvl 16, d/l'in is a bitch x10 and i dont plan on spending time doing that anytime soon.
heres how it goes as far as char lvls
i have 4 chars aiming for 16 for sure
i have 1 set aside not doing quests JUST INCASE i ever seriously decide to go for it. but currently most of my times is consumed my finals prep/wow

Already got all the white dye I need.

Now I just had error59.

Which is really strange because per prevention, I moved, used a skill a few times, turned around, opened a few windows at about each 30 minutes. I've got disconnected almost exactly 10 hours after I started deleveling.

Bullshit, I tried to be active as much as possible. Worse thing is, I got the error two minutes after I've activated a skill. My computer slowed down a bit, so I looked on GW and saw the error, and it didn't asked me to reconnect !

It didn't even been 10 minutes !

I got three lvl 18, two lvl 15 and one lvl 8

Next try tomorrow morning.

Interesting thing about the err 059. Lilanthe, I was in the middle of killing the Dlvled Char and was hit with the err 059. Had been killing them for about 5 mins and still was given the boot. I then was unable to reconnect for about 2 mins, and as you said, an err 059 does not give you the 10 min window to reconnect to where you were. Once I got back in I was in Ascalon. I have been pretty good since about not going over the 9.5 hour mark. Kill whatever you have been Dlvling, completely log out for 5 minutes or so, then restart. Lol, guess we have to plan our days around the old err 059!

I just finished my first (completed) develing charr run. Killed three lvl 18, three lvl 14 and two lvl 12.

I got 6%, so I have a question for connaisseurs, is this good, normal or bad for a level 16 ?
