Gaile announced something new for the end of the New Year, something never done before. Maybe this year gift will be the XMP, who knows. But the fact that all this content has been removed from the .dat and not yet added seem to point in the opposite direction. Maybe she was refering to the weapons contest winners, that have been introduced recently in our .dat file.
Time will tell.

All I know is, I was reading the Feb. 6 updates, and I saw the word "Xunlai" and almost had a heart attack. Blasted Xunlai Tournaments!

I don't see why people think this is so cool... i think its lame. Unless they make it 'auction' based, than it will be the same as hitting [p] than looking in the trades menu and buying pming soemone to buy something -_-

You know if they are in the dat file doesn't mean its coming to game..maybe it was thought of WAYYY back like before factions and was scraped cause it would be too much work. thats what i think, i also think anythinking about it/asking Gaile when is it gonna be here/this thread is pointless

Actualy now would be a perfect time if they wanna have the system nearly perfect by the time GW2 comes out. Anet is usauly kind enough to give us permanent features for the purpose of progress and testing.

But really why do we really need a auction house? To get rid of spam un-click the Check GG no more spam. Whats more interesting is that she doesn't know, no denial or confirm, so therefore there is something possible.

Frog possibly simply made bad timing with his quote. Or maybe they are going to revealuate that title track - which is likely as i have 700 points in it without any serious attempt while my progress in titles comparable that which were in game for ages and which i take with same lax attitude is about 200 points total.

I hope they implement it soon, I'm broke and need clear inventory/storage and nothing makes me not want play more than standing in random districts spamming WTS. Selling stuff in GW is broken.

I hope that this mythical Marketplace would include some pretty good sorting. You know it's going to be one huge database if it ever tastes reality, so if the ability to sort by, say, [weapon type, weapon skin, requirement, damage modifier] were in place it would really help to find what we're looking for.

Yup. It would be just a list of items to sort and query. Since the purchases would be just direct, there would be no need to stoe more infor that the seller, the item and the prices.
As far as I can tell for all the raw text files show so far, it would be able to sort by type of item, to sort if it is inscribable or not, to show it is 'maxed' or not...
So imagine it... probably people would start looking for inscribed perfect items only, and if the pries are too high, they may uncheck the perfect or the inscription filters...
