The Xunlai Marketplace thread

Maybe it's a location accessible to Xunlai Agents only and we access it by placing items into a special storage tab?

Sounds About Right.. they made the Xunlai Agents have more functionality with the addition of crafting storage & such. Seems right that all Xunlai Agents, have access to the Xunlai Market. Besides I think someone pointed out we are supposed to be able to trade/list while in explorable areas. So it's feasible & more convenient that all Agents give you access to the Market.

The district joining does also add to the credibility of this whole thing... I don't blame Anet for staying silent though. I think they learned that silence for something that may or may not happen is better than giving anything for the smacktards to use as "evidence" that they "promised" us something.

But yet she still can't say if the XM is old code or not...interesting. It's almost like Gaile is echoing dodge...

To be quite truthful Inde, I believe that Gaile, unfortunately, is kept out of the loop on much of what goes around. The information added to the DAT with respect to the Xunlai market is purportedly recent, and Gaile's duplicity with regards to the Polar Bear places doubt on her actual depth of knowledge in terms of projects in planning.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not faulting her here, I'm simply saying it's altogether quite possible that she's kept out of the loop more than we've been led to believe.

Thus, her saying that in that post truly means nothing to me.

Who cares? They don't owe anyone an explanation or a confirmation or denial of speculations. If you want to speculate about what may or may not happen that is your choice, get your hopes up if you like. If they plan on adding it to the game they will, they don't have any obligation to share their intentions.

Is it likely we'll get something like that, I expect not. :\

She needs to tell the dev team that we know, if she hasn't already. I'm wondering if they even know we know.

If it is in fact true, then I bet she/the dev team is a little pissed that we already know about it. Nothing worse than ruining a surprise, especially one of this magnitude.

Check if the strings exist in other languages.

Internationalization is the final step, and requires a great deal of QA. If they have been translated, then this was worked on via production pipeline (i.e. serious business), and not just as a test.

Assuming the merging of the "servers" is being performed to make this marketplace work properly there are still a couple of asian areas to be merged - I think they mentioned it in an update recently too.

So it isn't going to happen at least until that is done. Given the length of time it's taken from the EU/NA merge to the first of the asian, it might be months before we get this...

if this isnt real...it should be.

I agree, It sounds that it all rumors. Ill believe it when it been mention on the Update Page, but with all these mean nothing until it mention by Anet or NCsoft.

I'm willing to give the "rumours" some heed. But then I have absolutely no investment in this anyway. I won't be excited or disappointed if it does/doesn't happen. I don't trade with people most of the time and my one or two forays into the Guru system has left me less than impressed. There is just too much time involved in it all and I'd rather be playing.

It isn't going to change my way of playing, so whether it does or doesn't happen isn't likely to effect me. I'm happy to keep merchanting rare items.

If anyone can read say...French or German, it would be wonderful if they could contribute to this by checking to see if there are any .dat files referring to Xunlai Trade. If there are, its a green light for sure.
