the most overrated skin/title/armor/accomplishment

ive noticed a trend of dumb RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOs in this thread but that is all I will say concerning that.

Anyway.

OVERRATED STUFF:

Skin: Crystalline...meh
Title: ANYTHING CHAMPION THEY DONT MEAN ANYTHING
(jk I really meant to say r12 kurzick)
Armor: any armor with chaos gloves or destroyer gloves
Accomplishment: Anything involving Ursan (yes you all fail)

Skin: Elemental Sword on casters
Armor: Fow+chaos gloves+bandana/blindfold/mo zing mask

There are a lot of armors that can look good on some characters, bad on others. For example, certain assassin armors look awesome with the Mo Zing mask. And FoW is purely personal opinion. I mean, I hated FoW ranger, and decided I'd never get it, once (my main and only real character is a ranger). However, I saw it dyed a brown color once, and it gave an awesome "bandit" look. I now own ranger FoW armor dyed a light brown, and I look like a bandit. Prestige and artsiness.

So really, I would never say and armor, weapon, or mini was overrated. I might think it, but really, its down to the taste of the guy who wears it. I would agree with the OPs views on low level characters with elite armor/in high level areas. Big whoop. You've amassed a lot of money on a separate character and bought a runner, and you'll still have to level up to complete the game.

As for titles, I'd say that Cartographer is... well, not overrated, but less than it used to be since texmod. Its still not EASY with texmod, but its not the big-barrel'o'presige that it used to be.

PS: Currently deliberating getting a blindfold. Not because it looks good or anything, just for the idea of a ranger with a blindfold.
PPS: I would make this blindfold increase my marksmanship.

Paragons (male and female)
Ritualists (female) (without the tea cup head thing)
Mesmers (female mostly)
Ranger ...ah... not sure if it's worth it... but it doesn't look that bad

All the rest look like crap to me. Crappy textures that looks more like a blur, or just plain ugly.

And yes, FoW + Chaos Gloves + Ninja Mask / Bandana (all dyed black) = Fail

All titles in this game are overrated ( i am close to get GWAMM though...) Except as someone pointed already, Legendary Survivor if said person got it without "cheating"... but since you can never know... overrated.

It's hard to me to talk about weapons as they depend on who's going to use it. Sometimes one skin that looks stupid on one char might look good on another... so i dunno. I tend to be very picky on my skins tho.

i hate elemental swords, but I got one while farming raptors and I didnt already have a caster wep on my elly, so now I have a caster elelmental sword. Anything wrong with that? It still looks better then common skin weapons do.

To me, all male mesmer armor is just, ugh. But hey, if you really like it, more power to you.

I can't believe someone is proud of their button mashing ability. You are pressing buttons on a keyboard... There is very limited skill involved. The only area of the game that is even remotely skilled is high end gvg, and by high end I mean top 20.

The first thing I can note from all those comments is most are just stupid, people like some skins and not others, same for color, we are in a freedom. So you may find something ugly or not doesn't mean it is.

My Monk has Fow armor (black old dye system) + chaos (gloves dyed base purple not too bright) + Godleaf defender (dyed black) + Elemental sword or Gemstone axe + classic prot focus and Blessed Calices for heal and I mostly even play with the Wicked Hat (armor 0).

My politic is simple I like my Monk like that, and don't care if for you I look like a clown, I don't use uber items not cause I can't buy them but just cause I buy what I like which is in general less common.

For Fow armors my own opinion is there're only 4 of them which look really good, Monk Female (chest is too sexy), Necro Male (which really look funny), (Necro Female eventually) and Mesmer Female. Also I prefer most armors from prophecies than others.

For the titles, my opinion is none are valuable for one reason even r12 Hero is just about farming fame, and still doesn't prove that the players are very good. Plus A-net make most titles easier to get now, its just a commercial operation, allowing people to complete all the titles to get momunent and make them play GW2. Another thing is a lot of R10+ Hero were brought on ebay. For Myself I like the tyrain cartopher for a long time since only a few people at start had it, before factions and NF came out, I love My savior of luxon which was at r11 when they put the double reward system in place, I worked so hard to get this one, just cause I wanted it so bad. Now that title is common and yes ther're a lot of "noobs" with high luxon / kurzick titles (blame A-net for this).

There 're really 2 Titles I hate, Savior of Kurzick cause about 90% of people use bots or do FFF on that side making this title worth nothing, and the R6 Maxed Title, and this one for another good reason, I would say 80% of the people who have it, brought golds on-line to get some part for this title, plain and simple. So finally I respect only people who made their Titles in a legit way, whithout running service and such.

Last thing, a lot of people that have uber items / titles, its only to show that they are important, which represent about 77% of 15 years old and some players who do mostly pvp and just buy everything on the net.

this is like arguing over what music people listen to; there's different armor and weapon sets because people have different tastes. some are exotic, some are tame, and many other varieties because a variety of people play the game. it all comes down to how you want your character to look not how you want other people to see your character.

titles don't mean anything because they say nothing about your skill level; anyone can farm a title (even in GvG/HA) if they're carried by good people or playing overpowered builds (in both PvE and PvP).

Female Ele Obsidian Armor...sorry it sucks. Never getting it. And thus i will prolly always be rich.

Chaos gloves, while neat, doesn't match anything.

I hate seeing warriors with EoTn hands, mask, and rest of armor.
It looks BAD. STOP THAT.
Or Pick one and stick with it. Mask can look fine with most things. But don't wear gloves with it. Vice Versa.

Also, warriors in this suit. Way too common.
It's not ugly, it's just not impressive.

Insignificant title? Most.

Warriors with primeval or FoW armor with gloves. (Usually black)
Monk FoW armor , black with some gloves and/or bandana.
Other FoW armors are pretty good imo , especially mesmer male (not black) , para male and female.
One piece of eotn gloves or headgear is ok , more than that looks just plain stupid (bandana + dragon gloves/chaos gloves looks the most stupid).
My favorite are glacial gloves.

About titles , maybe the kurzick title cuz of the ridiculous amount of FFF.
About weapons , i don't know the skins , and some not so rare items look good.

People dance-idling in HA Int 1 ally day with any Elite Armor/Chaos Gloves flashing Lucky/Unlucky/Wisdom titles in front of the guards and generally people that are in ID 1 to chat all day without entering battle once. There is so much fail involved it deserves an own title.

Destroyer Gaunlets: I hate these things with a passion, they are just so ugly it's untrue, not to metntion most people who own a pair think they are 'teh shit'.

Title-wise, I think hero is pretty overrated, not to mention Survivor...

thats not always true there are some armor that look s very good in black dye. I dyed my 15k judge in black simply because it looks nice, i was gonna dye it white for an angle sorta look but didnt like it.

The only good eotn imho is glasses, they look very nice on a lot of chars. Most overrated title is prob PvE titles, just shows you have time to waste.

I hate monks in FoW dyed black+mo zing+ voltaic+tormented shield+ chaos gloves, only thing that shows is either you farmed and has no life or you spend 20-30 dollars. oh and warrior fow, you look like a certain character from teenage mutant ninja turtles :P, though i guess its not too bad, just too bulky for my taste. All just my opinions

Male Fow monk armor, It is ridiculous...also dragon gloves fail. I bought them for my warrior then had to salvage them :P

FoW armor, really. >< I can see why people buy it, but I personally dislike the design.

Dwarven Sin armor -

I bought some and was sorry I did.

You can't actually match it with anything so I went with the whole set only to find out the only color you can dye it is red because the gloves are permanently red (for some weird reason they made the metal on the gloves dye but the leather part, which matches the shirt texture wise, can only be red - so to make the shirt and gloves fit you have to dye the shirt red).

But with it dyed red I look like a gay cowboy sans hat.

This has to be the dumbest griefer thread on this forum. Its basically the same as saying "I'm jealous because I has a small e-peen." In an online game, people try to look better than you, and if their armor costs more than yours than there's nothing you can tell them that's not conceived in the throes of jealousy.

Most titles are overrated, most either just require gold sinks or time, infact the whole concept of needing 'skill' in GW is now debatable because considering any new player can just rank his Ursan eliteness up and dominate anything.
Armors is unique, although alot of people may buy FoW just because of the cost so what? I can afford it but I choose not to but if someone else wants it why is it a bad thing?

/win 100% agree with you. Honestly, if you think my ele's FoW and Chaos gloves look ugly as shit, well who said I was trying to impress you? Not everyone who buys expensive stuff wants to rub it in others faces. A lot of us do it for self-fulfilment. I<3 my FoW armor and chaos gloves, I think they look great. If you think I only bought it to show off, well then screw you, imo, ele FoW is the most badass of all the FoW armor (spikes on shoulders ftw). So just an fyi to all you people who get pissed at guys w/FoW armor...no, we're not all n00bs, and yes, we do like how they look. You may think it's ugly, but it's all just opinions and pixels imo.
