In response to bhavv and FengShuiDove: this thread was obviously made for the sole purpose of bashing others. Who says we can't complain a little when we want to? Anyway, here goes:

Title: Rank 3 Hero. It's not hard to get and frankly, cramming venison in somebody's face isn't my idea of pwnage. XD

Armor: Chaos Gloves. It doesn't combine too well with most armors (especially warriors >_>) and a good amount of people have it.

Weapon: Ele Sword. EotN has made getting them so easy. I've gotten two of them in like 10 hours of EotN gameplay, and that's with H/H questing, not farming. The skin isn't too bad, but...it's not 1337 anymore.

Hobby: Bashing other people. Guilty as charged right now, but...oh well. I have an excuse: it's 5 AM where I am right now .

armor: FoW, cos most of it is butt ugly, and people only buy it to look "leet". and chaos gloves, for the same reason.

weapon: voltaic spear

title: all titles are over-rated, but especially the hero title, cos a high rank only shows how much time you spend playing guild wars

hobby: noob bashing. people who call someone a noob cos they dont run a meta bar. arent people allowed to have fun anymore?

It was a combination of white / purple / red, and two of one of them. I want to change the 1.5k Kurz to white + white + white + silver now cos I saw how shiny it is on someone else . Or maybe 3 silvers + 1 white or two of each.


My elly is a frosty purple freak with tripple white and a purple on each piece of elite canthan cos I felt rich. I love how this armor comes out in either shiny white against bright lights or with a dull hint of purple in lower light areas:

And FYI I didnt copy anyone else. I just pick armors that I like, spend ages playing around with dye and pick what I like the most, and I spend a little too much time on my elly

At various points at time during GW history it was very easy to amass a lot of wealth quickly.

So just having the armor does not equal "leet". Some worked there butt off for it, others it was very easy to acquire and no way to tell the difference.

You can Ursan for an Armband and get most of your FoW materials in the course of a few days (less if you'e really hardcore).

Oh and let's not forget when traders came out and ectos were uber cheap.

Warrior FoW in black.
Tormented Shields.
Elemental Swords.
I would say ele primeval but since most of the posters here think it sucks then I would hardly call it overrated

As for titles... Max sunspear and lightbringer, I was rank 9 sunspear without even realising, maybe doing 2 or 3 farming runs with guildies. o.O
Although I have no problems with titles in general. The bearer may have a title that seems 'uber nub' to a more experienced player, but if they are happy with it let them be entitled

I also thought the Elemental Sword would look better for the price. Looks too cartooney.

Over-rated:

-Elemental swords
-FoW armor other than that of Rit and Derv because they actually look decent.
-Grandmaster/legendary cartographer, just seems like a waste of time and a boring title to go for
-Survivor title I guess because it's not hard to farm now, but it's still a cool title kinda
-R10 Norn, because Ursan Blessing is lame

NOT over-rated:

-tormented shields, they look too cool to be over-rated

The Crystalline Sword is possibly the most overrated thing I have seen in this game to date. The skin looks absolutely HORRIBLE IMO and it has the same stats as any other decent sword.

Its probably already been said, but assuming that just because someone wears an expensive armor set that you don't like doesn't mean they think they are 1337. Unless someone actually says to you "my opinions are important because I'm wearing X armor or displaying X title", you should assume that they could honestly care less what you think of them. Normal people would not spend time or money on virtual stuff just so they can think they are better than someone else.


...on another note...
Even if I know you aren't trying to make yourself seem 1337, there still is and never will be an excuse to wear FoW Monk Armor + Chaos Gloves. Would you go to a business meeting in a clown suit? I THINK NOT! </sarcasm>

I must agree with this. Eles are magic dealers (mostly fire as I've observed in-game) and they dress skimpy; very stereotypical of what one could imagine when the word "female" comes to mind which is pretty sad. It's like, "Hey, I'm gonna go incinerate some centaurs in this outfit that lets my chest and butt hang out and I'mma do it with high-heels". Yeah, this is a fantasy game, but that just seems odd. Ele fow is the only thing I see that would ever protect and ele from damage and would keep them warm if they ever went to the Shiverpeaks.
