NCSoft Account Issues

Yeah, I log into my NCSoft master account that has, according to the site, been created in 2004. My contact information is correct and so is my email. No problem there. It's just that I can't link my GW account because it has been linked to another account and I am 10000% sure I only have one account since I don't use other usernames than the one I've got on my working account.

I THINK i managed to send the right data to support. Now i only hope this wont take a month.

I have three accounts, because I maintain the guild storage account and have two accounts in my house, one of which is still unlinked since it was made recently from a Guild Wars trilogy box. I didn't realize that I had created an NCSoft master account for the guild storage account, but when I try to add the free storage pane to the guild storage, I get a message basically stating the key is used. Grrr.

When i log in with my NcSoft account i get:

I never linked my GW account to my ncsoft account.
Can anyone help?

Exactly what I'm getting. I have my very first GW email from June 2006 when I started playing but no others in regards to my main account being tied to a master account there. I can't imagine any reason I'd have used a different email address to create an plaync account for it, so I'm totally at a loss on this one.

Same problem here, I sent a ticket to support in april '07, and now it says that my account is already tied .

I hope that this gets fixed before the deadline, they have plenty of time to do it in.

I dont care much about the free tab as much as I care about not being able to link my gw2 account to my gw account. I fear that when gw2 comes out I might be asked again to provide my forgotten NCfost account ... now that would be awful not to be able to transfer your hom to gw2

My sentiments exactly. Of course, I figure that when GW2 comes out there will probably be a function in GW1 to do the linking, bypassing the need for a NCsoft account -- something like Golden Sun 1 & 2. :P

I've just about had enough of this bull****. So now I created an account for NCsoft and I'm trying to link it to my guild wars account using that account name. It says that account name is linked with another NCsoft account? How do I know which account is linked to my GW account?

For what it's worth, I am also in the same boat and am 100% positive I never created an NCsoft account before.

Apparently I have an account with them but I've never purchased anything from them so I don't understand why I would have an account.

I contacted support but I've read they ask for your CD keys before they will help you -_-. Typical how I keep them in one place but NOW I cant find them xD.

I am in the same boat with you. No idea how to get it unlinked or even get the account its linked to back. I do not remember ever making an ncsoft account. =/

Perhaps I'm off on this, but I thought that at one point, I was asked through the GW client to attach my GW account to an NCSoft account. I don't understand why the GW client can't give us the info on at least our NCSoft account name when we've logged in. Then it wouldn't have to be such a one-way allowance of information.

I had this happen a while ago, I had no idea my GW account had been linked to an NCsoft account. Turns out that the NCsoft account name was just the first part of my GW account i.e. the 'username' part of the e-mail address (with an underscore removed).

It could be that for some reason accounts were automatically created at some point, though i've no idea why they would be.

This is one the most common threads popping up. There are many on the same topic. Maybe we should have a sticky and people could post there instead.

I'm also in the same boat. And I'm sure that boat is a ship at the moment.

Is any1 else having the problem where they are making their first NCsift account then trying to link their guild wars account to it and then it says the gw account is already linked to another account?

Also I just tried to log in agen to NCsoft and it doesnt recognise my account which I created not 5 hours ago. It says: 'We were unable to verify your login. WTH!?! How many problems can 1 company have. Would be so much easier if we got the free 4th year anniversairy storage pannel when buying 1 extra pannel from the gw store.

how i set mine up i logged into my gw account and went to purchase something..when i get on to checkout stage this is where i did the account creatoin for ncsoft .... or connect to existing account

I have forgotten my username and password, but to be it worse, my game account e-mail is shut down and my old NCsoft account is merged to it, so can't merge my GW account to new the e-mail. Is there a way to solve this problem?

If i remember correctly, when I hassled support about this a few months ago they said that anyone who has purchased via the in-game store has has an NCsoft account automatically tied to their GW account, which may be why so many people can't remember making one themselves.

I got lucky and logged into my NCsoft store account (that I had never created). As with Asyntyche, my NCsoft username was the username part of the email address linked to my Guildwars account (everything before the @). The NCsoft password was my Guildwars password followed by a "1."

Well I've never bought anything from ingame store.

This is exacty how it worked for one of my guildies, who is 100% certain that he never made that account on the NCsoft site.

Unfortunately, applying that trick to my GW login email, I end up with an illegal username. What a mess...

I'm optimistic though, I've been in contact with a real person and have provided them with all the info they asked. I guess I just need to be patient now while they work their way through what might well be thousands upon thousands of tickets.

Lots and lots of people are having issues just like that.

I am paying close attention to these threads because i want to see how A-net handles them.

A-net is the recipient of a lot of hate from a lot of people. Sometimes they deserve it (Ursan, Regina, SoA Axe) but most of the time they really don't in my opinion, in most cases it seems that the players have unreasonable expectations and tend to express them with rage......

This tho is a really good oppurtunity for A-net to either shine or fail. The PlayNC accounts caused me a lot of problems back when they were first introduced and I still can't even remember making one, but I am recieving the same error so it stands to reason that I did............

Now I know that if I did and forgot that it is my fault for forgetting, and if I was the only one I would simply be silent and deal with it.........

But I am not the only one, a lot of people seem to be in the same situation as we are judging from the posts about the topic........

So A-net can handle this several ways but in the end there are really only two that matter.......

They can do what they always do and pretend that there is no issue and have one of thier CR's blame player incompetence or exploitation and explain why it is not thier fault that YOU and I couldn;t get the free storage pane.........

OR

They could use this as an oppurtunity to do something they have never done before and create some goodwill. They claimed that this update was a show of appreciation for thier players. Lets see if they mean it. They have the option to make the free storage pane a gift instead of a limited time offer to those who meet the criteria they set forth. In my guild alone almost half of the people have question marks over thier head about plaync. The other half seems to be having no issues and are enjoying thier storage panes.

It will be interesting to see if A-net continues thier tradition of "If you cannot comply with our wishes and play and act the way we think you should and stay on the invisible rails we have created for you then you are not worthy of our attention" or if they make a break from thier normal BS and say "Hey we really do appreciate you and we want you back for GW2 so we are going to revise things and make the storage pane available thru the in-game store."

This is a real oppurtunity for them to begin to earn some forgiveness for Ursan Blessing and possibly regain some goodwill from the only people that really matter......... the players.

Time will tell, but it is gonna be interesting to see which way they go.

Yeah, it thinks I got another account too that GW is associated with.

Methinks NCSoft is going to take a long time to correct this problem. I would suggest to ANet that they just give everyone the free storage pane and save us all a lot of time and effort.

Well just checked my old emails and the receipt from the items i bought from the in game store doesn't contain any information on what my login name is for my NCsoft account. So how the hell do i find out what it is? lol

Have got to say am slightly disappointed with the whole ncsoft/plaync account confusion. Surely there must be a better way of setting it all up!

Same problems here, account already linked to another ncsoft account ,my EX girlfriend got me the imp upgrade as a suprise for christmas and now she says she forgot the password for her ncsoft account,why they couldnt have just given us all 1 free storage pane without having to go through all this nonsence is a mystery to me, it isnt as if we will all suddenly start to use their ridiculously overpriced shop just because they forced us all to sign up accounts to it , talk about a retarded present, thanks anet........

I think i either signed in to report a bug or do wit that direct song crap that broke.... i have found an play nc password but no account name. It's early in the month, lets see if thier support works....

Had the same issue; luckily, from older .txts and e-mail logs, I found out i had another NCsoft account I made in 2005 that had the GW account linked to it.

There are several entries on the NCSoft support FAQ about xunlai pane/gw acc issues.

Account linked, no idea to what. Can't even submit a ticket because that system won't let me register OR log in. I've given up on it. I'll make due without the extra pane.

Add me to this sinking Titanic. Already have a ticket submitted since yesterday. Having a similar issue to this but I can sign in to my Master account, just can't link the two accounts together.

there really is no need for this account linkage. Just push us the free storage tab in game.

Try the "forgot password" option, if it is your user name then you should get an email with your password. If you don't get any email, then it probably wasn't your user name.

Same thing here, never linked my account and all my keys are invalid. Waiting on support......
