NCSoft Account Issues

I know the name but can't remember the password... which is odd as I only ever use one of 2 passwords

I have the same problem.

Back in 2006 I sent an email to ncsoft with my game account details "[email protected]".
Back then, you didn't have to create an account on their page. Just enter your details and you'll get an email.
Only problem, is that in 2006 I 'tied' my game account with that ticket and now when I log into my real account, which I created in 2007, and try to link it with my GW account, I get an error saying that my game account is already linked.
How come a 3-year old ticket is still tied to my GW account? It doesn't make any sense. I think I will have to contact support.

Same problem here for me and my wife both. We have accounts dating back to 2004, have used the Guild Wars store occasionally, and both have NCSoft accounts. Our NCSoft accounts work just fine, I can log in and change details and everything, but our Guild Wars accounts don't show up anywhere.

When we try to purchase the storage tabs, it prompts me to link an unlisted account, when I enter the account info it says they are already linked to another NCSoft account. We don't have any other accounts. It's got to be a bug.

I sent an email request NC account password ,and they told me to
sent them Serial number for "ALL" guild wars expansion.

I got Proph,Faction, and eotn but not Nightfall because I lost the box.
they send me email back said we sorry we couldn't help if you do not have all serial key.

Its not that hard to regain your data, simply contact them via support, send them your mail (the one you need to log into your game) and the access key, though im not sure if you need to actually make a picture of the access key (think I had to, long time ago), shouldnt take much time till you get what you need.

Yeh am having same problem, and when I tried to make a new one and link my GW account to it,durh it's apparently already linked to this account I really can't remember making...needs moar cowbell.

I forgot mine too but I dont see why Why didnt they make it available thru the ingame store or for that matter just add it on to the accounts automatically. Its stupid to demand registration for it.

lol thats epic...gg ncsoft,same problem here, I doubt I will ever find the ncsoft account linked to my gw account(neither account name nor pw),sent email to retrieve password of an account I thought was right,after some thought I found out it isnt,have all the serial numbers,so i hope they gonna try to help at least...
We will have same problem with linking gw1 to gw2 I assume?

Yikes, yes, I'm having trouble with it too. I have no idea what the account name was for my main account. My alt account is attached to a second email and master account, and the master account tied to the email I use regularly only has my Dungeon Runners account linked to it. But when I try to link my main gw account to one of those, it tells me it's already tied to an account. I've checked every email address I know I have for old email notifications that might have a clue to my master account, but nothing.

I suppose I could fill out their form and ask, but who knows if I can scratch up an old code that's from the proper account. I only remember starting to save those when I started my alt account.

Oh well, the alt was supposed to be my mule to begin with, I guess it needed the tab more.

It's a common problem. I am pretty sure I have them linked cause I had to use my Master Account to change my Guildwars Password at one point. And I have bought the unlock packs and Eye of the North and character slot through the store. Retriving the password says my account name is with an email address. I can use the email address to login using the "log In" on the upper part of the screen, but going to the store the login it is too long. And the Store login dosen't recognize the login that I had written down from before for the master account. Very annoying. I did set up a dungeon runner account long ago but uninstalled it. I wonder if the Download/Game runner client would have the proper information for changes and logging in? I sent in a support ticket with the keys for the items I purchased thourgh the store i hope that helps and can get cleared up. I wish you could make a new account and merge old ones if found.

ok i think i figured out my username because i was able to answer both secret questions right, or so it said, but i haven't gotten an email on any of my accounts. how long does it normally take to receive the lost password emails?

God, I hope not, but you're probably dreadfully right. I could be putting all my time and effort into building up my titles and achievements on an account that I won't be able to link to GW2, but from the sound of things there are ALOT of people who would have the same problem and be really really pissed off at launch.

After sorting through all my emails, I still couldn't locate anything in the way of a master account ID for my main, but I did find all the keys from EotN preorder, EotN, and all the unlocks that I've bought for that account. I never had the keys for the first 3 games because a friend in another town bought those and pm'd me the keys so we could play, so I hope they can at least work with the keys I could find. I submitted a ticket, but from what I've read here and other threads, they've been turning people down who didn't have ALL the codes.

Should be instant. That concerns me, also, because I'm worried that even if I was able to guess my account name and answer the questions, it would sent the reset to another address I don't remember.

What an unbelievable hassle. I think i will never get the free pane because i just don't have the patience for plowing trough so many numbers and letters.

I usually go with a password with less than 8 characters, so I had to figure out what I exactly added to it, might help you in your search :/

Oh my god this is so annoying. I managed to find out my account name but I forgot the password. When I tried to reset the password, I answered all the questions correctly and got a message saying that a new password would be sent to me. I check my email inbox and there is nothing. 4 times already I tried to reset and there is still no email from ncsoft. I give up.

Woot found it and changed my password. ... Shame I have too mant login attempts ATM...

So, I finally managed to recover my 1st ncsoft account after emailing support.
But it wasn't the account I had my gw account on... now what :S

yep, epic fail @anet. Way to make something that should be pretty straightforward, into yet another debacle.

I have my old support emails. My login was my email address, which won't fit in the new login. My account is tied, so I can't make a new one. I'm dead in the water. If I have to provide all my keys, I will never be able to login again. Nice.

i was finally able to get help through support and get my free pane. it wasn't even anything i remembered really. if you are going to go through support yuo need to make sure you tell them what your login email is for guild wars that way they know how to help you recover the right account.
