Worst Elite Skill
Raul the Rampant
Well I haven't seen any Ele mains step forward and defend [Second Wind], so I'm going to have to vote for that. It's unlinked, but requires an investment in E-storage to actually be useful and that roughly half of that pool to be maintained exhaustion... seems like it is entirely inferior as energy management and would maybe even cause problems when swapping weapon sets. Am I missing something?
StormX
Balthazar's Pendulum. Never seen anyone actually use this.

Quick shot sure gets my vote..
Master of Magic and Shadow Meld also get a second vote from me. (they probably fit a role in some builds as a good elite skill, but overall i think they are a couple of the worst) There are indeed others.
I agree, ANet must have been smoking something. :P

Second wind. Without a doubt.
i did a test with this the other day.
Got myself down to 40 energy with room for about 20 more. Rest of the bar was exhausted. i Ended up going to 50 energy. So i gained 10 energy and a bit more exhaustion?. Absolutely hopless. hmm i want energy management on an ele.
lets look at my options : Second wind. oh thats crap. Hi there attunement. Hello glyph of lesser. How you doing aura of restoration (minorly)

Id also like to add that Order of Undeath (necro) is a skill i really hate to use. It's like a suicide skill if you ask me. (havn't seen many people use it either, lol.)

OoU is the elite for player MM's. The armor-ignoring damage it adds is beautiful. The only other option is the new Aura of the Lich, and when you compare the two it's not even close.
The only reason you may not have seen it is because people use heroes for MM instead of humans anymore. Don't feel bad though, Izzy felt the same way and tried to change it, then had to change it back due to necro outcry.
Still not seeing anything that outclasses Shroud of Silence in my book.

Not even a paragon would use this since there's [Soldier's Fury] which is far superior.

Someone mentioned using it with the Asuran skill Technobabble to extend the AoE Daze to a whole 10 seconds. I haven't tried it though.

Even at max Asuran Rank, Archer's Signet + a silencing bowstring only make Technobabble's daze last 12 seconds. BHA + epidemic can last much longer (even w/o a silencing bowstring).
Evil Eye
Amity sucks a lot.
Axel Zinfandel
My vote is for Amity and Mark of Protection
bhavv
Mark of Protection makes you invincible for 10 seconds. It should have its recharge reduced to 30s though.
glacialphoenix
Voting Amity. I have no idea what that skill is for.

rofl That about covers it. It's basically the elite version of Pacifism and Binding Chains. I hate when the Outcast ritualists use Binding Chains because somehow they don't do damage to you until it ends; if you were doing PVP and had that, it would barely last a second on the person you cast it on.

Based on the name, they should change it to something like:
Elite Skill - Non-Boss foe becomes ally for "x" seconds |
The ONLY fun I've ever gotten out of [skill]Amity[/skill] is running it in RA. I'd wait until 3 warriors were ready to gank me, cast Amity, then dance for 18 seconds or so! The rage was classic!

I personally don't like Cautery Signet. Remove all conditions from all party members and get set on fire? Ouch, that's some bad gratitude. But in all seriousness, I'm sure it's okay if used properly but I think there are better elites out there.

Second Wind
Withdraw Hexes
/thread.
Why is almost nobody discussing these elites? Withdraw Hexes should've been buffed before, and not PnH. Mainly because the name is... Withdraw Hexes. Peace And Harmony was actually useful in 600/Smite and such as a +1 energy regen. Next... Second Wind. Gain 10 energy, lose 10% of your max energy. It's completely retarded.

Cautery sig is good IMO because you can clean all your party of conditions with it + a mending touch
the worst skill for me is stone sheath...
and searing flames when only used by 1.
I still don't get why people bother to use it when other eles on their team are using meteor shower/savannah heat/teinais, etc
Mad Lord of Milk
Magehunter's Strike

Energy Drain gets my vote, essentially the same as energy tap with a faster casting time but it's a waste of an elite imho
Joraala
Amity/Mark of Protection
Lanier
This is a pretty old thread. 2006!
My vote also goes for amity. Sure there are plenty of bad elites but none are as utterly useless as amity.

Withdraw hexes wins everything for all time. It doesn't even have a chance of being reworked some day.
