Another story of jerkulescence:

So I'm bored today and I decide to go play the random arenas for a bit. A monk joins my team, and I'm like "arright"!

The monk replies with "sword wamos suck n00b". I ignore the comment and just ask that she keep me healed so that I can take down the enemy monk (and yes, I can). She responds with "lol u do dmg and i heal u".

When the match begins i cut arround to avoid a set of traps and activate "For Great Justice" and Battle Rage, then proceed to cut down the monk with my fast-charging adrenaline skills in about 3 seconds. Now the elementalist on their team must have realized that I wasn't just a sword n00b, because he focuses fire on me.

Well, at this point i recieve zero healing because the monk is being an asshole, so I just hit Soul Feast and hope for the best. I get the elementalist down, but the last member of their team got me. I asked for a rez.

The monk responds "screw u n00b i bet u just got this game today". Then the other team rezed themselves and owned the monk as she tried to heal ourselves.

Now, her comments are especially ironic because...

I was wearing 15k platemail, which, regardless of its actual value, is rather hard to get in one day
I was the only one who made any kills on the team
The next match I fought against here and beat her down so fast she called me a hacker

Most beggars I've seen ask for a few materials or few hundred gold.
The best I've seen was someone in Ascalon asking for 5 black dyes:

Now if it was something cheaper I'd give it to that person just for asking in a humorous manner.
But generally, I don't give anything to beggars.

I hate to bring up old threads, but man,,, the term 'noob' is used wayy to loosly...

I was pvping in CA one ( this is where you seem to get all the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOy noobs) and right as we were about to win our first game i died, and because im a monk, another guy died too. This guys started @#tching about how with his monk he could always stay alive no matter what. We won the game, and several others afterwards, but this dude wouldnt shutup. I said to him that if hes healing himself that much he probly couldnt heal others very well. And he replies (typical noob comment) "i dont need to if everyones attacking me". We finally lost but this guy kept whispering me telling me "u sux" for about 20 mins after. I finally said stfu and put him on my ignore list.
I now play only team arenas for 4v4. So fewer noobs and much more challenging.

I came back to SF after a long leave to see if the ppl were using more different builds now since the AoE update and before when SF started I was a being a nuker(R/E) cause thats what they wanted more instead, after a while they only wanted echo nukers or other big eles.

Anyway the leader accepts me and this monk is like "WTF is a stupid ass ranger doing here, kick him or i'll leave" the leader said hes a nuker. monk says "kick him a ranger who thinks he can nuker is a noob" the leader was intrigued I guess and kept me and went off. Of course the monk got more mad. he says "OMG this group is gonna die so fast with a ranger" "i'll just stay to watch u F** up and die then i'll go. The others in the group tell him to relax and try it out. I go up and spam myself nuking and stuff more than once to show how well I can do it, even another ele was saying I was good at it, the dwarfs died fast like they were suppose too and the monk felt so stupid he starting saying all this other crap how I suck it was luck we killed another group. ALL this mind u was without him as he was still yelling which made him feel even more stupid. He calls me a noob again and leaves the group. The group including myself whispers him to ask why he left since nothing really was wrong and guess what I got. The monk is now ignoring me, oh gee my first person to ignore me yay!

LOL funny story. I would love to meet that monk! He would be kicked from my team so fast, he wouldn't even know he had joined it in the first place. Any player with that attitude and who talks like that is not going to be the team player you want for an SF group. I have currently 4 characters, and for a tour to SF or FOW my ranger is definitely the most effective and useful player. Pure ranger, only rebirth as a skill from my secondary profession. Normally I go out to SF with poison arrow, throw dirt, dust trap, barbed trap, troll and some interrupt shots. To FOW with oath shot, throw dirt, dust trap, barbed trap, fire trap, troll and distracting shot. My friends I play with don't want to go without me and don't want me to play any other character because my ranger is so helpful to the entire group.

Not the biggest jerk or close to those already mentioned, but still...

Was going to do the Divinity Coast mission with a guildie and henchies yesterday, but later decided to join a random pug instead. The party included 2 x Monks, 2 x Eles, 1 x Necro and me (a W/Mo). We zoned in and headed towards the town of Shaemoor. After the first battle with Mergoyles and Bog Skales, I noticed the party's health was rather low considering we had two monks in the team. I didn't think much of it and just casted Healing Breeze on those who needed a boost in health. After the next battle, the same again. All party members had taken damage from the fight, apart from the two monks. A click on their names and they were not shown on the mini radar. A quick run back and they could be seen standing idle where we zoned in. The rest of the party wanted to continue onwards, so we did. The higher level monk then disappeared - probably mapped out or neterr=7. The remaining lower level monk was still around - later seen in Shaemoor as we were leaving to get the chosen ones. Throughout the rest of the mission, the remaining monk never said anything (even when asked) and was never with/near the team, especially during fights. All the other team members played well and we completed mission and bonus.

I'd like to give him the benefit of doubt, but it does seem plausible the monk chose to hang back and let the rest of the party to do the mission - easy 2000 Xp and story advancement without having to do anything.

I just hope I don't get to team up with such a leech at later, harder missions. They're a waste of a party slot.

Biggest Jerk ...

One kind lvl 20 lady was helping us do a quest for tips ... out of yaks or borlis. 2 of the party members were named with all caps: 1st clue should have been there names: I BAD ASS, I BETTER THAN YOU ... something like that.

Anyways, we no sooner get to the first turn and one of the nubiles starts calling someone else a noob. Pretty soon both the nubiles are in with both feet. I and another party member tried the old "be cool" tact: we might as well have been talking to the mountains about us: towering obstinate ignorance! I stopped trying, but the other guy kept at them most of the quest. It was a surprisingly LONG (yes, dripping sarcasm) quest. At times it was humorous, but they always managed to quickly sour my humor.

The long and short of it was they screwed the nice lady out of any tips and made us all squirm with their reckless blather: I still have one of them ignored. Kudos to the lady for not dropping them.

It would be nice if there was a way to transport all such nubiles to their own area and let them rip each other up instead: say a group vote was all that was needed.

Biggest jerk I ever met was a Monk named (no ingame names). On the Abaddons Mouth mission, which anyone knows isnt the easiest, decided to go farming for items while we were all getting bashed by a ton of enemies. We asked him where he was, and he said he was farming and would be right over. Then he finally showed up and cast HEAL AREA repeatedly healing us, and the enemies. High quality!

This scoundrel stole a piece of my 15k monk armor while I had it out on the ground after an IDS run, organizing my inventory. I had moved far, far away from the group to do this, and they walked up (apparently during a lag moment, as I didn't notice them) and just took a piece of my armor, which had a superior smiting rune on it and a very expensive dye mix.

I asked them to return it. They bowed and then promptly got offline. So what did I do? I had my entire guild and sister guild (160+ people), plus one of my friend's rabid 100+ person guild spam the holy crap out of them with messages like "Thief! Return that armor to Iri Avara or we'll (fill in blank with something horrible)."

Apparently, the ignore list only holds a few names, and their list couldn't hold all the names of the people tormenting them. Every time they got online, we spammed them until they got offline (or at least changed their status). Finally, they got so fed up that they apologized and promised to return the rune. When I asked them why they had taken it, they said "I needed the rune for my monk."

Thing is, if they would have just asked, I would have given them a superior smiting rune. I ended up getting another from a kind monk that, ironically, picked it up during the very same IDS run, and I just made another piece of armor... but still. Now I have to dye it, infuse it, etc.... just because someone was stupid.

Bah... that still irritates me. Especially since I never got my rune back, like Ms Lake promised. If you see him/her/it online, remind them that they still owe Iri Avara a superior smiting rune.

This guy wasn't being an unbearable jerk or anything, but I thought the outcome was kinda funny. During a mission in Kryta (I don't remember which), this guy decides that he wants to go rushing in, aggroing groups, and training them back to the rest of our team. I take the initiative and say something:

me: quit playing like a newb.
him: who are you calling a noob, you're the noob
me: I'm saying quit aggroing all the mobs to the team
him: whatever, your probably just some kid or some loser with no girlfriend playing this %!@# all day.
me: actually, my girlfriend is in our group and I'm standing right next to her <standing next to her>
him: you have no idea what you're talking about
him: how old are you?
me: 21
my g/f: he is
him: yeah, so you're probably in college right?
me: yeah
him: how much math have you taken? You should know calculus.
me: yeah
him: then tell me the derivative of 2x^3
him: it's a basic calc question
me: 6x^2
<ingame battle ensues and he misses my reply>
him: so you don't know the answer?
him: what is it?
me: I already said it.

him: I'll accept that
him: it's just that there's a lot of snotty kids playing the game acting like they know everything.

We continue on talking about our colleges, majors, etc. as my g/f sits next to me, enraged that there's people that act this way in GW. Just thought it was funny cause I answered the calc question right.

Story #1 (or story #859 from my book), not such a jerk, but kind of funny: So we're forming a fissure group and request an SS necro (see below story for usefulness of SS necros). We get one, we're mostly a guild group and on TS. I give him the IP and pw in case he wanted to join it - he said he had it - but then kept on asking strange disturbing questions.

"What is this for?"
"What are we doing?"
"What what what"

Needless to say, whatever he was on he wasn't sharing, so we patiently answered his questions until we couldn't take it anymore and then kicked him and got someone else. He starts whispering me:

Jerk: i have your ip
Jerk: i'll blab it out
Me: that's nice, ass - i can change password and port
Jerk: darn

That was the end of that.

Story #2:

Place: Comp Arena
Cast of characters:
Me (N/Me Spiteful Spirit)
Another Necro (level 19, but that doesn't bother me)
Jerk Ele (air staff and aeromancer armor)
Warrior (doesn't matter - they don't figure at all in this story)

Lava Map. We lose 1-0 against a team with a monk. Got it? Lost ONE to NOTHING. Pretty respectable as losses go.

Now, I know there are worthless necros out there, as there are with any class so I decide to take up the fight against classism.

[Side note: I have 2 accounts, around 150,000 total faction; a modest number but all 8 of my chars are PvE, so I do not live and breathe PvP. I do not suck entirely.]

I agree with most of these, and have experienced alot of them :s

I must say though, a W/Mo who uses mending doesn't always =Asshat. I do that, I'm the opposite of an asshole! Hell, I give people free runs from piken to kryta, for no reason! Mending isn't great for later missions and harder farming, I admit, but it is a useful tool for farming stuff like Ettins and Griffons, not to mention giving me the bonuses off my sheild. Anyhow, asshole rant time.

Location: Lions arch, district 8 (Was the night before Halloween)
I see a bloke(Warrior) in full Fissure. It looks different, thanks to some dyes, so I notice him. Here's the convo:

Me: Hey, nice FoW, could you tell me what dyes/dye mix you used to get that colour?
Ass: No find owt yourself
Me: Gee thanks, generous. You can at least tell me how many ectos/shards you need for it (I didnt know at the time, or at least I wasnt sure).
Ass: O M G
Me: ?
Ass: You never have dis armour, you are prbs a n00b who dont evn have a full skill box
Me: What the hell? All I asked was how many ectos and stuff you need for it!
Ass: You don know what you need n00b, go find your ugly mom and fook her ass

emmm ok this is really.. dumb.. but
i wasl ike in this 5 man SF farm group, i, hazardous, am a great monk.
yup, not the best, there is no best, but i am a good monk.
we were playing with oRo stuff, and i never done it that way [didnt touch it 2 months so stuff change].
i saw a chest near oro, took it, then the war of my team, which we got along just fine till then [well didnt speak alot really] says

As for the biggest jerk I've ever encountered:

Some moron in Droknar's spamming in public chat: "ALL MESMERS ARE SO GAY WITH THEIR GAY DANCE AND GAY CLOTHES I HATE MESMERS"

I hate to admit that I can be qute the moron myself sometimes. If I'm tired+grumpy, I tend to spew out some very unpleasant lines. :/ If anyone I've offended/annoyed recognizes my name and reads this: I'm terribly sorry!

Hey I thought this wasn't Everquest, but would you believe it people are "camping" in Guild Wars. I was just finding out about the Presents appearing on the floor in Lion's Arch, and returning one to a kid, when this warrior tells me not to ruin his fun, to go away in another district, etc. It quickly turned to insults. See his "fun" was standing there and waiting to catch presents. He was not alone, as there were people "camping" like this in all districts, but in other more crowded districts at least nobody said anything, it's not like you own the place!

This scoundrel stole a piece of my 15k monk armor while I had it out on the ground after an IDS run, organizing my inventory. I had moved far, far away from the group to do this, and they walked up (apparently during a lag moment, as I didn't notice them) and just took a piece of my armor, which had a superior smiting rune on it and a very expensive dye mix.

I asked them to return it. They bowed and then promptly got offline. So what did I do? I had my entire guild and sister guild (160+ people), plus one of my friend's rabid 100+ person guild spam the holy crap out of them with messages like "Thief! Return that armor to Iri Avara or we'll (fill in blank with something horrible)."

Apparently, the ignore list only holds a few names, and their list couldn't hold all the names of the people tormenting them. Every time they got online, we spammed them until they got offline (or at least changed their status). Finally, they got so fed up that they apologized and promised to return the rune. When I asked them why they had taken it, they said "I needed the rune for my monk."

Thing is, if they would have just asked, I would have given them a superior smiting rune. I ended up getting another from a kind monk that, ironically, picked it up during the very same IDS run, and I just made another piece of armor... but still. Now I have to dye it, infuse it, etc.... just because someone was stupid.

Bah... that still irritates me. Especially since I never got my rune back, like Ms Lake promised. If you see him/her/it online, remind them that they still owe Iri Avara a superior smiting rune.

I remembered that! I was with you guys after the run trying to kill some more monster because no Icy dragon Sword dropped.

But wow, I can't believe that person did that. I though she would of given it back to you after I left.

Well there was a really pompous monk at the Ice Caves today. "Nice aggro noobs", "STFU necro", "cya noobs" etc.
I agree that the team could have performed a bit better, but missions are a team effort and slinging bull doesn't help. If you have to insult someone, do it when we're back at the outpost.

Most of the arrogant idiots I've come across have been monks or warriors, it's a shame that they give a bad name to all the good people that play W or Mo.

Last week in Ascalon I see someone ask the room:

Gump: WTB wood planks 6G a piece
Me: I HAVE 24 PLANKS
Gump: How much?
Me: 7g a piece.
Gump<--- doesn't respond for 30 seconds
Gump: How much?
Me: 168
(keep in mind that i had just multiplied 7G times 24planks and got 168.
I thought the idiot was asking the total price.)

I submit the 24 planks and press accept.
And the retard gives me 1-PLT,176G which is 168 times 7G. Gump overpaid me almost a whole platinum. I quickly switched districts and ignored him or her after calling me a scammer.

Gump: Hey scammer give me back my gold.
Me: Fat chance
Gump: You tricked me
Me: Lets make a deal
Gump: What?
Me: I will sell you another life lesson for 1176G hehe.

If I'd run into you in-game, I might've written that same story of you in this topic. Granted, who pays 1.176g for 24 wood planks, but still it's not very pleasant to take advantage of someone who accidentally puts that much of a wrong amount of money in the trade window. Even if he has 90k and FoW armor and whatnot.

The biggest jerk I've met so far would be....me.

It was one night after a long frustrating game of tombs and the left over online people from my guild decided to run a game in there with henchies. So 5 of us sitting in Tombs international form up with henchies but then a w/mo does a join request to our group.

So we're on vent laughing at the silly whammo and told him to make sure to bring Mending. He replies "I have mending" and we start the game. Right when we get in, me and another guildie that were monks, started yelling at him to give us mending.

We played a few games and won a few with him with us constantly barraging him to mend us. We even made a agreement with one of the opposing teams to kill him first after he said he didn't need our healing and that mending on himself would heal him.

I was with a FoW party, right when we entered the area this convo happened, we had 3 warriors and 1 rather rude monk...

We got a party, went into the UW, somebody (we couldnt see who) aggroed way too much, everybody except 1 monk died....

Then the monk goes... "I dont rez 20" times, what a freeloader

You should have asked him for the tenth integral of some crazy function and then threatened to kick him unless he could give you an answer in 10 seconds.
