Just encountered a persistent one, he requested a trade out of the blue, and presented a candy bow (I was on my ranger), I showed him my own candy bow, and closed the window, then he requested another trade and said "you buy", I declined, he requested yet another trade, so I declined and quickly requested a trade with him instead, and just as he put his candy bow in the window I would cancel trade and quickly request yet another, this went on a few more times, then he ran off

Lol. Maybe one person will now have the message to quit trying to force trades. On another subject the Grenth vs Dwayna Battle. I keep running into people who I am guessing do alot of pvp because my poor monk keeps getting chased and killed even when I am no where near the presents. Its very annoying and the reason I dont Usually play pvp. That and everyone talks crap to everyone. I mean its a cute game for chrismas get over yourselves. I even yelled at people on my own team for talking crap.I have very little tolerance for talking smack about people. I do try and ignore it if someone else started it first but i usually still say something lol.

Well i got a few jerk stories most of them happen long ago

My very first jerk in GW happen like 4 or 5 months ago and i was working on my PvE heal monk which was on the Gates of Kryta mission. I got in a group with a ranger which was the jerk in this story and a necro which was very nice. Anyways we make it to the small town in the mission were u take the pig for bonus. I believe (remember 4 or 5 months ago) that the phone rang and dog was going nuts and things were really hectic at my home so i said brb. I am gone for about 6 or so min and when i come back people are dead and the ranger (which is also dead) is yelling at my afk avatar in team chat and so on. So the first thing i type is that brb must be foreign to you guys. He told me that i left them and blah blah blah. I told him i said brb and that he was the idiot that lead the team (after reading all the chat) on without the only healer. The necro was telling him that i was right and he went on and on how i am not a team player and stuff. One of the party members rez him and he runs back to the town with a drake on his butt. He doesn't make it and tells me to rez him. i said i rather not and leave group. I later msg the necro and tell him sorry for leaving but i rather not be around someone like that. He said he understood he was gonna leave to i just left before him.

More recently like maybe 2 months ago while in a guild i was asked to help some guys ascend. I said ok np i have helped friends do all ascension missions in 3 hours time (running them to the places then helping on mission) so it shouldn't be a problem. I was helping two guild mates at the time and 1 was the leader. We do Thristy and Dunes np first try. We make it to Elona and fail the mission twice. Leader is getting mad and getting pissy. So we form a group again and we get an ele in the party. As soon as we make start the mission ele is staying behind not really fighting and so on. When the timer starts ele says he is going afk for about 20 min to just go on without him. I told the rest of the party that i am leaving i don't tolerate leachers and went to Elona dis 1. Now the ele isn't the jerk in this my guild leader is. In guild chat he starts going off on me and say if i ever do that again he is kicking me from the guild. I told him if we ever get a leacher like that again i will do it again cause that is how i am i don't put up with it. This person then goes and says that i better do what he says or else. Right after he says all this he tells me to form party again and go. I told him no and needless to say i'm not in that guild anymore.

Last one. Me and my brother both play GW. He lives in Florida and i live in Colorado. We both use GW to talk to each other. Me and him were standing in ToA after just getting done a FoW run. Standing in ToA on a monk is always a pain for all the blind invites and whispers u get. Me and him were in a party talking in team chat and he was on his warrior so i guess people thought we was making a team or something. So like i always do reject the blinds and ignore the whispers, but one guy did not get the clue. He kept PMing saying invite him invite him u need another warrior. So i responded saying we aren't doing anything go away. he called me a noob and a female dog and said other nasty stuff. The first time i ever reported someone to Anet.

Well that's a few of them all these happen while i was playing my monk go figure

A couple of days ago, I go to the citadel looking for a PUG for an IDS run. I choose my monk, knowing that it would be easier to get into a group that way. So I find a pug, and off we go.

First attempt was a disaster. We were short a person or two, a couple of ppl dropped. We map back. The other monk says he is going to get his ranger. I go healing, so I start to retool my character. The party leader picks op enough people and starts mission. The person who left doesn't make it back in time to get in the party.

He then starts whispering me calling me names and such. He is mad because he didn't get back into the group. I told him that I am not the party leader and I had no control over it. I give him the current party leader and tell him to complain to him. He then comes back, calls me a liar and tells me that he is gonna black list me and I will never get into a PUG again. I laugh at him, telling him I PUG at most, once a month.

wow there are so many storys here about jerks in guild wars, well i have one. ok, i was in pre-searing (yes there are jurks here), and i was asking around for someone to "go over the wall" with me and do the quest. So needless to say i found someone ( a ranger). So were running over to the wall kill the few mobs that there in pre, and we get the the door, so the ranger says " go up and open the door, i will run through". So i did that sence thats what the mission was. We were then over the wall and doing the mission, and we ended the mission, and the ranger started to flip on me. he was like" you only used me to get here and i cant belive you would do that to me", just things like that. So i told him" I said in ascolon that i was doing the quest over the wall, and you said that you would join. That did even help he kept saying that i was using him just to do the quests that i want (even though he advanced a level at the end of the quest). he soon just left the game, and i put him on my "block" list.

I've bypassed a lot of this because that's a WHOLE lot to read at 2:45am.

anyway. Lately I've been wanting to pvp so I can get to rank 1. that's my goal. But after tonight, I remember EXACTLY why I swore off pvp'ing. All the stupid bratty pvp'ing bastards, with high ranks, that think they're completely cool.

I was monking because I couldn't find a group with ANY other char I had. FINE whatever. Well, the first 3 times we went in, we did really well. It was a just for fun group. We get through the first level, then the 2nd, then we get to where you have to control the shrine, and stuff with this ressurection orb and the ghostly hero dude. I'm like aw man, we're going to get spanked. Well, I died, the other monk died, and everyone was almost dead, and somehow I was rez'd. I get up and begin healing myself. I used mending to help speed up the process. Then they all proceeded to say (other team that is)

MENDING FTW!
HAHA MENDING SUCKS!
MENDING! HAHAHAHAHA!

etc.etc.etc.

you know, grow up. You may have a high rank in pvp, but I have a life and I don't spend hours upon HOURS pvp'ing in a game. I am so sick of these high ranked smacktards thinking they're sooooo cool. I'm not jealous of your rank, I'm stumped by your complete ignorance and immaturity.
whatever happened to a gg? or good try? I mean it's obvious this is only my 3rd time pvp'ing. Don't be a dick.

oh and i was pvp'ing in tombs.

another story i have is like a few months ago during an ascansion mission i was the only healer. I remember the rest of people were in a completely different guild, I remember which, but I won't mention. Mind you, I'm one healing monk and my energy isn't everlasting. I'm healing my arse off, and i'm running low on energy, one guy dies. he leaves. well we get to the end with no other problems. back in augury we go

i was like gj! one was like except you. They pretty much went on about how I was horrid healer, and was like ripping me apart. one person was whispering me telling me I did a really good job and not to listen. Needless to say, I avoid this guild if I ever see them. I also reported one of their players because it was just incredibly ridiculous. Don't insult someone when you're not going to get 2 healers in a group for Thirsty River. People really blow my mind in this game.

I'll admit, I can be a complete jerk sometimes, but only if you're not listening and completely rude.

A majority of them are like that and they like to spam their rank -_- Very annoying. They take PvPing too seriously. The game is meant to be fun, not taken at a serious level and they never help out people who want to get a rank. Way to be helpful with the community. I don't get why those people who PvP a lot have to act like a jack***.

Those PvPers should know its just a game.

Thank you! I've had to scold some of my teammates too. I hate it when people flaunt their wins. It is a cute game. It isn't supposed to be even remotely serious. Lighten up! Sheesh.

That is THE REASON why I don't like PvP at all. No matter which arena I enter, I'm definately the only one below max lvl and definately the only one without Drok's armor and all the best toys... and get always blamed if my side doesn't win (even if we had won 3-4 in a row before that).

About the jerks I've met so far... I call him mr. Dingaling (That is NOT his name)
At Riverside Province our team had agreed to go sneaky (including him). But as soon as we got close to the first tower, he started spamming "Bite my dingaling" and aggroed all the Mantle on himself... and started to dance.
Others managed to help him out... gave him some dutch-rubs and such (verbally only, unfortunately) and we continued our not-so-sneaky trek.
Next bunch of Mantle... the same happened again. As soon as anyone died there, they left the group... except this mr. Dingaling who kept of blaming them noobs who bail as soon as there's any trouble.

He is the 1st person I actually added on my Ignore-list.

Way to make generalizations! Weee! I suppose I shouldn't ever PvE cause all PvErs are item-hungry, scamming, e-penis enlarging, bratty bastards, with FoW armor, that think they're completely cool.

Now I know this isn't true, I've known plenty of people who only PvE that are decent human beings, but seriously, if you untruthfully paint an entire group in such a negative light, you are worse than the people you villify, despite whatever supposed flaws they have.

Oddly enough, us mean 'ole "elitist" PvPers don't have "characters" to find groups with. We try to get into a group and then proceed to make a character build according to what the team leader wants. Of course the selection will be limited to what we admittedly can play well (and therefore what groups we can get into, if the group needs a warrior or a mesmer and you can only play a necro, ele and monk well, thems the breaks). But your competance with various classes and builds is up to you and not some arbitrary and slow grind that the game enforces on you... or it would have been if not for the still exceedingly slow rate it takes for a new character to unlock everything.

My only suggestion to those who wish to start PvPing in Tombs is to learn how to play several classes/builds well and not attached to a certain class or build. That's what PvE is for =p.

Thats odd, many of us PvPers have lives too, but alas it must be untrue because you say so.

And oddly enough, a good many newbies and PvErs who can post just fine on these forums, can't seem to be able to use the search function and find the many PvP related posts to read up on when they want to start PvPing in Tombs or GvG, fancy that eh? Nope they decide to plunge headfirst into a decently complex game, their first experience ends up being a negative one.

From all I could gleam off your post, your teamates made fun of your selection of skills and not yourself, perhaps you should try and figure why that particular skill is regard with such loathing?

Did orozar run with 5 men team. Two monk, MM, SS, and Gear Tank (Me). We're doing the forest boss when the group got seperated. One person (i think its the MM was afk at the boss spawn) Rest of the group didn't no so we ran ahead. Than few minutes gone by and the MM is back. He lost and don't know where to go. So we ran back to try and find him and he (MM) end up dead and the rest of the group got creamed by the huge dredges troops.

The monk got angry and called us noob for not rushing with him and left the group.

I hate that! And he the one who ran up ahead the group telling us to get the next boss!

I've read his post several times over, and I honestly believe he's not trying to lump *ALL* PvP players in with his description. I do, however, know the types he is talking about ... and there do seem to a greater number of unsportsmanlike folks in PvP than in PvE ... (unbiased opinion, I play both fairly equally)

Agreed. You should absolutely play classes that you know well, otherwise you are only a detriment to your team (and to yourself, in a greater extent). The best way to learn your way around a character class is to PvE with it some ... (this will unlock skills too!) then move on to CA (random), then to TA (team), then on to tombs ... I always saved GvG for last. Disclaimer: this is the order I used and found it to work well, feel free to experiment.

Agreed, but you do need to make sure your build works for the team you're going with *and* that you know how to play it well. I consider myself a fairly skilled Air and Earth ele, but you don't see me trying to join an IWAY group

While I agree with you that the poster you were quoting from could have done some more research, there is no reason he should feel belittled and stupid for trying something new (pvp). Would it hurt to offer some constructive criticism to someone who's obviously new? Most people would respond better to "hey, I noticed in our match you were using xx spell. Have you ever tried doing xx instead?" rather than "OMG MENDING J00 N00B!"

I remember being in similar shoes to his when I first started pvp: "OMG what are j00 doing?!??" "You are a n00b" "Hahaha I owned you" ... etc ad infinitum. While I can tune this out for the most part (being an adult), it still gives you the taste in your mouth of "Wow, these folks seem a bit bratty" ... again, i'm not trying to force my ideals on anyone else ... but I totally agree with the OP that people should try and be a little less negative to their opponents. A "good game" or "whew, you almost had me there! Good job" never hurt anyone. I think the people that bash and smacktalk are trying to overcompensate for something that they are lacking and trying to disguise, or have had a few wins and are blatantly overconfidant about their own abilities.

All of my friends who are truly very skilled in PvP are some of the nicest people I know, and try to help everyone as best they can.

You know because I say it, and even mentioned in my post that what I say is true, you should believe it. Yep. i sure said that. Because you know, I'm so full of myself. I've never once said what I said was right and true and blah blah blah. I'm sorry you felt so offended by my post.

Why are you pulling a research thing into my response? I was simply posting MY OPINION on the biggest jerk(s) I have ran into in GW. I didn't "dive" head first into anything, but generally that would be the idea when you're just trying things out. I forgot, you should research PVP for HOURS before even attempting.

Let's get one thing straight, it wasn't my members that were making fun, it was the high ranked HoH people I was playing against. And frankly every single pvp'er I have ran into, seems to be a complete jerk. Sorry, the group I had last night was really cool. it was the other groups that were rude.

Again, anyway, I was posting my thoughts and feelings on the majority of the pvp'ers I have ran into. No, maybe not all of the pvp'ers are RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOy smacktards, but a lot of them i have ran into, are. I'm done discussing this subject, and I only posted my opinion. Sorry, I offended you.

Oh and for all purposes, I'm a girl in real life. Just so you know, so you don't call me "he".

another story i have is like a few months ago during an ascansion mission i was the only healer.

I'll admit, I can be a complete jerk sometimes, but only if you're not listening and completely rude.
i admit when i see someone using mending in arena my exact though is

he is newbe
good easy fame.

most of time keep it on vent.

but some my friend even some very nice keep saying stuff like what you get ...

just dont take mending , it really sux >.>

this may be contradictory to a lot of people, but in my opinion, the people who say "running the _________ for tips" are the rudest.

today some guy offers to run a group of people from beacons to kryta for tips. i hope on the bandwagan saying wat the hell free transport :].

some people left and it was just him and i...

he dies like 10 times, has -60% dp, and takes about half an hour to complete the run (dying to level 10s on lvl 20 = lolez)...

he gets there i said i dont feel he deserves a tip due to massive suckage and waste of time...

he continues to spam me with profanity for a little while longer, then i went to aunts house and ate dinner

sword is the best weapon in fow. especially when you have skilled it to 16 attribut. then you do min 100 damage with final trust against every enemy.

so this monk sucked very very big. what a damn noob!

<---Real life woman here too Genevieve

I can't really say that it's the majority of PvP players, just they are exponentially jerkier in there because you only spend about 3 minutes near them, they feel like it's their duty to be that much more nasty.

Unless they're on YOUR team! Then you may spend lots more time with them *shudder*.

We had a pretty good random team going, few matches in a row. Monk, Necro, Warrior, Ele.

Monk does her rank emote, fine, I usually don't say anything one way or another about it.

Warrior starts in about how rank means nothing, yadda yadda yadda, on and on. Monk is pretty cool about it--trying to type and heal is pretty tricky business!

Meanwhile, after every match we win, the warrior says all the typical "owned/pwned" "goodbye newbs" stuff. I say, "Hey, lay off, they lost and they know it, no need to rub it in their faces." The other teammates agreed with me. He says, "It's the only way to show your skill, to rub it in." Huh, wha...? You've already shown your skill by winning, is my opinion. I told him he was lame. So, Genevieve, this guy is the guy you see over and over!

The rank thingie argument is STILL going on match after match. Finally after one win, the warrior leaves. We were relieved!! Until...the whispering started. Apparently this warrior was whispering me and the monk at the same time.

"If you watched me carefully you would see I'm not lame at all."

Now, what kind of a team player would I be if I watched HIS every move? God Almighty, I've got better things to do.

"I didn't mean your play was lame I meant your personality - lot harder to improve that." <--me the jerk

"If there was a meaningful rank system...." blah blah blah blah blah

Me: "I do not care."

All this talk of rank got me remembering another story....

I was sitting in Thunderhead Keep, why I dont remember. I'm watching the local chat, when this guy starts spamming that his monkly services are available for the low price of 15k. If you wanted him and his other monk friend, it would be a bargin of 20k. And if you wanted the third guild monk, it was only slightly more (Cant remember that particular price). So of course, I say something that probably wasn't too nice, as ppl charging for being a certain class is just wrong and moronic. Others begin to jump in and chastise the individules as well.

So the 3 of them come running up to me and surround me. They then do their oh so famous /rank to me. I start to laugh at them. Didn't know having a rank in PvP meant anything when it comes to PvE.

Strange, I've played the game for 4 months now and except that I got scammed in the beginning for 3k (at that time a lot of money for me) I've never encountered any jerks whatsoever. Of course I was in parties with noobs but hey, everyone used to be a noob right? I don't care much about it when new players make mistakes. To this moment I keep on making mistakes sometimes. Funny thing is whenever I'm doing something wrong, my teammates politely tell me what I need to improve, even when I'm playing in the Tombs. But probably I will encounter some jerks. That's just how life is. I recommend to everyone that is being jerked off: simply don't respond at all.

Well, that would be the quiet dignified way to go about it.

However, when someone is being a jerk to other people? Like in my last story when the prolix warrior kept taunting the losing teams? Yeah, I'm going to respond.

Most of the stories here involve normal people, acting normal, saying normal things, and yet getting "snow down their shirt" no matter what they do, due to some jerk's imbalance and massively shrunken/engorged ego. Not a question of responding or provoking.

I sincerely hope you continue your lucky streak of no jerks, Ado.

Common misconception: the term noob means new player.

"Newb" refers to someone who is simply a new player, while noob (or n00b, |V00|3, etc.) refers to a player who not only is detriminal to other's gameplay experience due to a lack of their own experience but but refuses to learn how to behave properly and/or is hostile or unresponsive towards those seeking to help them. A more simple definition is just someone who acts like a little kid, whether or not they actually are.

In addition to Doomlord Slayerman's post, noob is also some nasty namecalling thing skaters talk about.

I may be called that, only because they know that the word is the only thing in their vocabulary which makes them get smaller IQ every.... well... second of breathing they use... and that I could and possibly WILL go and kick their butt in on game anytime if I could do, is showing that only a minority yet again are smart enough to retaliate to such losers.

I myself haven't been on GW for a bit, but I very rarely get that on the game I currently play...

i've started to wonder if the people who post in this thread have ever played a game like Counter-Strike or another first person shooter (Day of Defeat, Call of Duty online, etc.). especially in counterstrike, most people moan and complain and such if they get killed. they immediately toss out vulgar junk at someone who either got a lucky kill or is just more skilled than they are.

for instance: i got a few lucky headshots in a couple rounds. after the last one, people started saying things like:

"OMG hax gtfo RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOin haxor"
"lame-*** haxor motherRED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOer gtfo out"
"i bet u hax cuz u suk RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO"

and more stuff. i wasn't doing too well, either, so i replied "look at my score. do you really think i'm hacking?" (i was around 7 kills and 12 deaths) i just got more crap from them. not too long after that i decided to stop playing CS. just too many little kids complaining when they lose...

anyway, after this story, my point is that Guild Wars has it easy. the amount of jerks and downright ***holes is significantly lower than most other games.

either way, this thread is hilarious. especially Sister Rosette's little story about the "hacker".........at least, i think it was hers.

I was giving away 40 CC Chards (one per person) in LA and Ascalon, and a couple of people had the audacity to want two or more. After canceling their second trade, one responded, "it was worth a try." Perhaps it was, but it shows how much of a selfish prick you are, knowingly trying to screw someone who's being generous. One even tried to follow me as I switched districts. Another called me an "idiot, lol" after recieving his shard, commenting that they were going for 150g each. Maybe they were, but I responded, "just being nice." To those few who thanked me, I wish a happy new year. To the rest, please go away.

Heh this was before the Devs made it illegal to gamble with the dice, so dont hate me for this, here it go's.

Child: BET MONEY, ROLL 5-10 AND GET DOUBLE YOUR PAY!
Wes the Wonder: OK Ill play
* Wes the Wonder bets 500, Roles a 5 *
Child: YOU LOSE, PLEASE TRY AGAIN
Wes the Wonder: Now wait a second, you said if I role a 5-10 I won, now pay me my money that I won or I will copy and paste your past message to your gambling agreement, and report it on guildwars.com.

I knew the DEVS would not be able to get it back for me, but I took a shot at it. Now either it was the way I said it, or he was just stupid. But he cleary got scared, and payed me my 1000 like as I deserved.

The weirdest thing was he kept messaging me saying how mean I was how I threatend him in the way I did, when all I wanted was the money I gambled for. Then knowing that wasn't working he pulled the " MY BROTHER TYPED IT FOR ME, IT WASNT ME " trick, but I didn't fall for it. So I got my cash back and just ignored him.

All in all im glad the devs made it illegal, otherwise alot of people would not have been as lucky as I was.

I'll just post mine, wich happened after we tried to do Ring of Fire

Some dude tried to cap Spike Trap, and I already had it (note to this)
The 'Jerk' went off with 3 others to finish the mission and me and 3 others went for the skill (this wasnt planned but I was like "K, I'll help")

We failed after I was the only surviver when the other 3 died, and the other 4 came, wich DIDNT see what happened, and killed the ranger boss, then al 4 started to call ME a noob etc. and I left
heres the conv that followed

Jerk: "Caution: Asher Squirrl (me) is a noob that likes to tear up partys for a lowzy elite skill"
Me: "I didnt tear the party up, I already had the skill, I was just helping someone"
Jerk: "No you didnt you noob, you left right after you got the skill"
Me: "No I already had it"
Jerk: "No you didnt you just ran right to the boss while we were doing the mission"
Me: "Pay attention to what happens if you want to bitch on me or anything"
Jerk: "I did you noob"

The Jerk kept on like that for a while and I ignored him..

and those kind of people got me to leave the game earlier, and now I came back, they just go on...

THUNDERHEAD KEEP-where the 1337 jerks of all jerks dwell
even though i completed thunderhead keep with some friends, i could never get this one monk out of my mind. We were all doing good until the part where King Jalis opens the gates and we meet up with more stone summit.
There was this one monk that that started running up to nearly dead groups, and started casting heal area all over the place! Once we killed those groups, we all stood there and were "dude WTF!" The JERK demanded payment. WE just ignored him and continued. we goot a few groups down until he started laing down heal area again. Thats when i started getting pissed. We started ignoring him again and and finished off the rest of the stone summit. The major headaches came when the Mursaat came. We were getting nothing but heal areas from him. We were so close to beating the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing mission that we payed up. My friend(goodluck charm), actually gave up 10k to finish that god damm mission with the biggest jerk ever!

-Zefvonee Greff, you are my lucky charm!!! (im not gay)

So Im at divinity coast, looking to do mission on my monk, and I get an invite, all is well, we leave and I assume we are on our merry way.
Next thing I know we are entering Beetletun .......... at this point I start asking the wammo in front just what is going on, and if he is doing the Galrath quest, I ask one more time demanding an answer, I finally threaten to leave unless the wammo spills the beans.
It turns out that, yes, we are doing the Galrath quest, from Divinity coast .... WTF, he didnt say a word about this before we left, or I would have grabbed the quest so I could actually have earned the 4k xp, instead of just helping this newbie wammo complete it.
If I wanted to do Galrath, I would have started from ToA, not freaking divinity coast, waaaaaaay up north, and I would have picked the quest too naturally, the stupidity of some people is just amazing at times :/

Here is one along the same lines.

I was at Beetleton looking for the undead quest, I join a PUG and out the leader goes east, I start saying "I think the mission is the otherway". Then move to "It's the other way" drawing an arrow on the map, and point out that we were getting close to New Ascalon. Nothing from our brainless leader. A couple of people drop out at this time.

Next thing I know we are at the gate for New Ascalon, and it dawned on me, we were shanghied, and said that and the rest left.

I hope the ettins got him.

Finally something I can contribute. Great thread.

I was doing the Ring of Fire mission with a guildie and rest of the spots were filled with random people. I got a little curious when one guy (a W/Mo) was just spamming "gogogogo" before starting the mission - that was a first sign. The second was the constant spamming what equipment he had. Well, we did good for a while and proceeded to the 2nd Mursaat tower with the boss - and before that is the lava pool with Ettins (this time) on the other side. A ranger says that we should lure them, but the W/Mo #1, a second W/Mo and a W/E just rush over the lava and start hitting the Ettins on the other side.

We manage to kill them and the ranger asks, "Weren't we supposed to lure them?" - and gets no answer. After this, we try to lure the Jade Bows from the Tower along with the ranger boss, but the W/Mo #1 just insists on going by the tower beating the boss. Many people are drawing on the map to pull back and to retreat, but the W/Mo just hacks on the boss and spams "HEAL ME HEAL ME". Now, the monk says that his energy is low and we say retreat, but the W/Mo and other warriors just stand there hacking away. Finally he goes down and immediately starts spamming "I'M DEAD!". We try again, but he just sprints to the boss attacking and spams "HEAL ME".

We can't really get anywhere and finally the monk decides he has had enough, says "This is pointless" and quits along with a W/E. At this point, the second W/Mo of the group decides that the monk is a noob. It's not hard to see where the hatred for W/Mo's stems from after seeing people like this in action.

I wanted to bail out too, but I stayed for a while to see what happened - and wasn't disappointed, since for the following attempt to kill the boss he pulled out an ace from his sleeve - and started hacking with his candy cane sword. Pretty soon everybody left and I couldn't help but wonder, how on earth a guy like that has access to the Ring of Fire. Not necessarily a jerk but just left me puzzled.
