The Biggest Jerk You Ever Encountered in GW (no posting names)

I'm on my mesmer, and we're doing the To the temple quest, and we just zoned into the tunnel part of it. So we're waiting for the people to load, and they do. The I start lagging, and tell them so. Then everything stops and I error 7. I then log back on and try to whisper them tellign what happened. They didn't beleave me, so they all start swearing at me and calling me names, and whenever I whispered back to them, they kept calling me liars, and that I was making everything up to get out of the group. Then for the next 25 minutes they kept whispering me and then ignoring me. They act like no one could ever error 7. Biggest jerks I've ever met in game.

Don't you just love doing FF runs.... this is a bit old but the SS of the chat's might be a bit hard to read because i had to blank everyone's name... so i have the summary under it.


1) i get kick for no reason (but i do find out later) calls me an idiot...etc.... Well ok i want to know WHY or WHAT i'm doing wrong! you know! Being kick for no good reason Sucks!!

sorry but this guy was a jerk in my book. I know when people say "don't go chest farming" but the chest is right at my face! not down the hill to the waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy right or left. I respect groups that tell you up front about that and i'm the first one to die after hitting my spot..... but there's a few more ss of this but i think we get the idea

I hate it when people assume you bring counters to counter them (HELLO the world is bigger then your trapper/eoe world)... arrggg Know it all! stuck up and arrogant......

I have my own guild, cape, and guild hall. I dont actually have a guild tho, Im the only member.

I had this guy who I traded with a few times, noticed I had a cape, and wanted to join my guild, even though I told him its not actually a guild.

he said he just wanted the cape.

sure I said, and signed him up.

anyway, all is fine for a week, then he comes up to me, and asks if he can bring in his mates and start GvGing.

I told him im not into that, so I wont GvG, but if he cant afford to setup his own guild, I will let his friends join, and they can GvG from my guild.

he then proceeds to swear and curse till his faced turned blue about how I tricked him into joining my guild so we can do GvG, and how he had turned down all these super uber amazing guild joins because he was in my guild etc etc etc.

then he left my guild, and proceeded to flame me until his face turned bright purple in the public chat about how I am a scammer etc etc.

only one thing to say about that

Just to say that Paladin, I am a Guild Leader of only 3 members (including me). We were small but peaceful. Its a new guild I did and for the moment, only my friends (Officers) are with me (except one who is in Le Quebec guild and love his guild). An I experienced something like this too, or can I say, Guild Leechers. No its not to take faction but these little ------ who wants to enter in your guild and say: "Buy me 15k armor" or "Make me an Officer or I report you" are very annoying. Sometime I just dont understand why ppl can't do something normal in this game.


Well, we need anything to make a world, even scammers, spammers, leechers, etc.

Its been a few months since I've played GW at all. I can't believe this thread is still going. Must still be alot of dicks.

Not quite a jerk, but this certainly gave me a hoot.

Most recently, I've been teamed up with a leech in Apsenwood on the Kurzick side, nothing too out of the norm, but what made this guy something of a 'jerk' was the fact after we lost one time, he called as all 'n00bs' and then left.

I love beating ppl in the dragon arena all night and saying things to get them riled up.

OMG I've seen this guy at the Dragon Festival. I think you should move this guy up the list to #1 he's everywhere bragging and saluting enough already!

QFT Invited one in our peacefull guild, he then sweared and said we were all f*****ppls just because I didn't wan't to give him a *SECOND* IDS(yeah, I gave him one b/c i Dropped 3 in a run ), saying that he dropped it (being dead at the beggining of the run, I really doubt he killed that imp), "scammer, wtf r u doing, i'll report u" etc...

I've met a good share of jerks, but recently have run across more in the last couple of weeks than in the previous 12 months I've played.
Latest examples -
Random scruffy ranger in Gates of Kryta: can u give me 300g. I pay u back
Me: Um, no.

THK - playing healing monk for a mix of friends and several PuGgers
Emo pugger joins group and seems rather impatient to get going. Halfway to the fort, he admits he's after the monk elite (since he doesn't seem to be there for any other purpose). Sure enough, monk boss shows up while we're defending the fort - the Emo caps and leaves.
People who cap and leave a party stranded should be punished by having the elite removed from their skill list if they map/quit before the end of the mission. This would no doubt discourage the few wammos I've had the misfortune of doing Hell's with - who quit as soon as they got Hundred Blades.

Well, there was one time I joined a group for a mission in Kryta (I can't remember the name). There wasn't very good communication, nevertheless I decided to go retrieve the bonus (taking an item to a shrine) all by myself. I spent ages saying to them (while they went on the main path) that I was doing it, and could they wait for me before they ended the mission. They said yes, and it seemed fine.

So I spent all my time fighting through undead all by myself, got the item, made it to the temple where they were, then it all went pretty wrong. We were ambushed by a bunch of Etin, and I dropped the item to fight, rather than die. Within a few seconds someone ended the mission. I was pretty pissed off, having taken ages to try and get the bonus, so I asked them why they had ended it. I didn't swear or anything like that. Then they all explode at me, saying I had failed the bonus by dropping the item. One of them went so far as to say 'It says it will break if you drop it, can't you read?' and to be perfectly honest I hadn't seen any such warning and they had given me none.

Ended up with them all saying 'Blame Tsamikayu for failing' then kicking me.

Pretty much lost my faith in joining random groups then.

The really stupid thing about your story Tsamikayu is that if the idiots had bothered to go back to where you picked up the bonus, they would have found another vase.

Thus, they exposed themselves as the noobs they really are...

I'm surprised I don't see myself anywhere here, I can sometimes be a jerk :/, but lately i've been keeping those comments to myself, except if the guy is pressing onto me...punks

Darn, now if only I'd known that. But I guess even if I had mentioned it they probably would've still said 'Still all your fault!!' Logic never seems to work in these situations.

Also, I forgot to mention - and I wonder if anyone else has had this happen to them - that one of them died and decided they'd 'follow' me and (supposedly) give me directions. It was more distracting than anything else, having someone whisper all the time saying 'Attack that!' just as I went for it, then say in Team chat 'I'm keeping Tsamikayu alive!'

Yes . . . keeping me alive by stating the obvious . . . woo-bleedin'-hoo . . .

Something really funny happened to me today:

Someone in LA was advertising "I know a way to double your money". I knew it was a scam and wanted to play along :P So the person told me to take 50k and come outside with me. I went outside and he told me to die. They he used Unyielding Aura on me.
Then he told me to drop 50k on the bridge and that it would double itself.... Lol. I then told him he is sad and that he should get cash the normal way.

Then he started blaming his friend. He said his friend told him it will work and so on. That was so much fun :P

After that I quit trying. The annoying part if is the spammed it all in capitals.
I mean if he's so good why didn't he battle me.

P.S he was a wammo warrior, and I was a Me/A ( illusionary daggers) So I would have killed him easy.

I was doing Vizunah square earlier:

(before mission)

Jerk: I'm going for survival, on first sight of death, I quit
Me: Lol, what?
Jerk 2: Gogogogogogogoogogogogogogo

And when the mission began, a level 16 mesmer died, and the monk ragequit. He then told me people under level 20 shouldn't get to Vizunah, to which I replied I've done the mission many times with people under level 20 in the party, but with ragequits it can't be done with no matter what the levels are.

It was also funny that he had a really unsuitable name compared to his behaviour, I can't say it but it was really actually the total opposite of his attitude.

This isn't the biggest jerk ever but...

I was bored and did randumb arenas as illusion mesmer and my team had no monks and the opposing team had two boon prots (and two rangers) so I thought "we're doomed". Then we proceeded to anhiallate them in two mins and I called them losers in a joking sense in local chat for having two boon prots and falling so quickly (which was wrong, i know).

A minute later one PM'd me and said "If you want to call someone a loser, call your mom a loser for giving birth to you." So after realizing I'd upset them I Pm'd and apologized and explained that I wasn't serious but they were 'offline' meaning I was being ignored. I felt no remorse from then on. If I wanted to insult someone, I could think of hundreds of better insults than "loser".

Biggest jerk i met was in factions elite mission: the deep.
in room 1 was the jerk (preety rich wa/mo), me (wo/mo) and a monk/ele.

Once we entered guy started asking about experience in the deep of other team members. Then guy rushed ahead and agrro a mob of 28s and the first kanaxai. offcourse he died. Then he started flamming me for not healing him (imagine that), and at the monk for not nuking (imagine that again). After that he started cursing about mine kurzick armor for good 10 mins, and after the other team members rescued us from the chamber, he agrroed whole mob in front of the gates (around 20-ish monsters) which killed us all brutally and in that time he laughed at us, and called us fresh loosers for not being able to kill the croud. after a few more curses about some poor guys mother, he left, and the rest of the team died. After that i spent 45 minutes trying to form a new team for the deep. and guess what. that guy but with different char was there AGAIN. when i heard his comments i just left.

Funny thing was that he had full obsidian and called all us poor loosers and noobs for not having same armor as he.

He's an obvious Ebayer. Nobody can have that much money and be so noobish at the same time. It's just impossible.

So, he talked you into lowering your asking price because he said it sucked?

Sounds like you fell for it. You'll learn? There's technically nothing wrong with what he did, as crappy as it might be.

Which is why there is a nice price check forum here on guildwars guru I don't ever sell something before I get an opinion here and from someone in the game. Also, if someone tells you that what you're selling is crap and still wants to buy it from you, you should be wondering why he's so anxious to buy such crap. Live and learn, and then get Luvs

Biggest jerk ive ever seen:
OK so I have a group and im monking, everything goes fine untill we meet the first mob of murrsat (abbadons mouth mission) the warriors rush in like normal but then i notice 1 tank is getting the stuffing kicked out of him... i ask "are you infused?", "yes" is his reply. So im healing him and geuss which skill i see him use... Frenzy, yes frenzy. The health just plummets and he dies. then he says "WTF KIND OF HEALING WAS THAT I DIED IN FOUR F**KING SECONDS!" so i ask "do u even know what frenzy does?" he says "YOU F**KING TARD IT MAKES YOU ATTACK FASTER" i say "read it again" a few seconds later he replys "WHY THE HELL DIDNT YOU TELL ME NOT TO BRING FRENZY INTO THE MISSION U C*CK SUCKIN' SONUVA B*TCH" then he leaves... pardon my french but what an a** hole

Oh, no doubt about it. This guy would need a whole army of monks to keep him alive. Buy why would they bother?

I had an interesting experience with an alliance member/ex-guildie yesturday. We were going to try the Captain Rujiyo quest with a couple of other guildies. The monk asked me to change my secondary, which was totally fine. I switched to R/E instead since I had more skills unlocked and they wanted me to go barrage. I was going to go with conjure flame, but forgot that I had gotten rid of my Fiery bowstring. So, I decided to just not bother with my secondary.

As soon as I got back into the group the jerk in question decided to tell me how to set up. Often this would not be a problem from an alliance member, but she was suggesting that I use Chocking Gas with Barrage. Claimed that she did it with her Ranger in ToPK all the time. This really set me off since we all know that Barrage cancels preps. She kept on going though, I admitt I wasn't very inclined to listen since she wanted me to take skill that would be a useless energy drain. She just wouldn't stop going on. All of this is before we were even started, and I already didn't even want to do it any more.

So, I left the group to go change over to R/Rt since I really didn't like there only being one hard res in the group. I complied with the wished of my bossy alliance member, but instead of barrage I had poison arrow. Since she wanted choking gas on my skill bar so bad. We failed miserably several times, one of which we found she had no res sig. For some reason she decided to keep picking at me with little "I do ------ with my Ranger" comments.

The last try our leader dropped. We finished taking out the second rift then moved on to the next one by the bridge. Not knowing that a large group would immediately head our way. The Necro(our jerk) and the Monk died super fast and I started running when I saw what was happening, in hopes we could salvage it. I died. She immediately jumped on me again. Told me that when she is an MM she always has throw dirt so she can run, and it always saves her a**.

I was so fed up with it that I asked her why she was riding my a**. She never answered. Just kept on at me, so I asked her about these things she had been ordering me to do and how they were supposed to work. She then started the "scroll up" thing. You know when you have been nit picking someone for an hour telling them to scroll up to find out why is not the best thing. She started going on about how childish I was being and that she didn't know she had to walk on eggshells for me.

Since this person was an alliance member I tried to be polite about finding out what their problem with me was. They never actually said. I had helped this person many times in the desert and other areas that I was finished with. I was amazed to be treated like that by an alliance member. Now of course, she has ME on ignore, hahaha!!!

This guy isnt the biggest jerk I ever met but he was a rude little child.

By far the worst thing that has ever happened to me:

I was running VIM and I joined up with a VIM Trappers group. They get into the first part of the Hero's Ascent and I get a phone call from my boss. For those that don't know, I teach applied computers and got into a very lengthly conversation about how I can get a raise if I teach summer school for 10 days...

Anyways, we finish talking, the phone call has taken about fifteen minutes. I return to my computer and my team had left, some of the comments left were "noob" and "liar" and the common obsecurities ten year olds like to blurt out.

Oh yes, I PMed the person that said I was a liar and it said I was ignored >:|

I have met with my monk a warrior who single handedly start a monk riot.
He didn't want to bring any self healing and always wined when he wanted somthing. I was hoping he would die and tell him that he woul;d need the hanch to rez him.

A real gamer would have let the phone take a message. Therefore, you are the jerk on this one I think. Your poor teamates didn't have a chance.

Somehow I don't think 'Sorry boss, I'm playing an online game, call me back later' would have gone down well.

Had you informed them you were on the phone with your boss, and and to please wait until you returned? With so man leeches in the game, I'm sure the first thing that crossed their minds was, "Oh great, another leecher". I've also received calls in the middle of missions from people I couldn't put off. I always ask the person to wait a moment while I "take care of something", and quickly type a message to my teammates. At least it gives them a heads up - they can quit and start over, or wait until you return. Going afk in the middle of a mission (or PvP round) with no explanation is a sure fire way to annoy people.

Lol, better hope your boss likes Guild Wars too ^_^

Seen plenty of Jerks today while the presents are dropping after the Minigame in Shing Jea "Get lost this is MY Spot" or "Hey that was MY Present, Give it back!!", heh how sad some people are.

Greedy bastards. I saw that too. It is pretty sad. Welcome in the real world of virtual games.

On the other side of that, if you've been in that prize spot for several minutes, and someone comes along and either stands IN you or right next to you, I think you're justified to tell them to git. I don't like prize poachers. (yeah, i'm mean that way)
