The Biggest Jerk You Ever Encountered in GW (no posting names)

i usually browse through here and read all the funny experiences, so i just thought id share mine
happened in random arenas; ill just give you links to the logs, theyre self-explanatory (arguement between 2 players, a monk and a necro, myself and the other player stay out of it, only to toss in random "lmao" or somethin)
there was a few points where i was laughin so hard @ these 2 kids that i was near tears

In their defense, I did Vizunah Mission (corpse-heavy) with a 3MM/1Mo team, and we did just fine (we did master actually). Then again, we acted cooperative, stuck together when possible to share our healing circles when thing got rough on the health bar (30 minions -> 65% sacrifice), and used BotM in turn ... great fun too

Probally the worst player of all would be me. I live to be a river of urine and fecal matter in the virtual gaming world.

Your armor is different, you're a noob, you don't use the skills I would, you're a noob, I have more/less/different items, you're a noob, you're a female toon, you're a noob, you're a male toon, you're a noob. You're opinion is different than mine, you're a noob, etc.etc.etc. Know what I mean...

Just now, I was doing the quest just after Closer to the Stars where you gotta kill all the avatars of the moons and stars or whatever. I was playing my MM and thus I had 10 minions. We walked into the place where the boss was and, naturally, my minions ran off attacking the boss. And then the lvl 17 Warrior on my team was going:

"you f*cking noob!! stop f*cking attacking the boss, we were doing fine untill just then! you motherf*cker. Yea, just leave, f*cker, you ruined it all." (in leet speak though).

So I left. With a smile on my face knowing that I had carried the entire party up till that point and that that f*cker was going to get owned within 30 seconds of me leaving.

It just seems ridiculous that he was swearing at me for owning a boss by myself. And his argument? "now we gotta fight more things now!".

Oh noes, defeat the point of the game why don't you?

Well, in corpse heavy missions/quests I can understand that.

But this wasn't corpse heavy.

Which is why we all died, and I completed it with Henchies. Who do not demand that I heal them first. ^_^

I have recently been trying to aquire a mini pet bone dragon, about the last thing I really need/want for my account, (aside from major rank).

Anyhow, I had been spamming for it, off and on throughout the districts in both worlds, and mind you, I have a set price in mind. Just below the price list guide and still, very generous, about 100+25-30 ecto.

This is about how it goes:

Me: WTB Bone Dragon Mini Pet! Whisper with Your Price, not "Offer"!

Someone finally reponds.

Jerk #1: I have the bone dragon, make offer.

Me: I said, clearly, I want a set price, not 'offer', I do not offer.

Jerk: Ok, C/O is 100+55 ectos.

(K, he is lying. trying to tell me that his C/O is about 15 ecto over the price guide list for it. How did I know he is lying? Because I trade way too much to fall for this shit)

Me: No thanks.

Next Day:

Me: WTB Bone Dragon Mini Pet! Whisper with Your Price, not "Offer"!

Jerk #1: (Ok, same guy, different day) I have bone dragon, 100+55 ecto only..

Me: Thought that was your C/O yesterday.. No thanks. My max is 100+30 Ecto

Jerk #1: Hahah.. no.. bye noob.

Next Day:

Me: WTB Bone Dragon Mini Pet! Whisper with Your Price, not "Offer"!

Jerk #1: (SAME GUY) I have the bone dragon, 100+55 ecto

Me: Look, you have messaged me 3 days in a row now, with the same price, the same dragon you had supposedly sold 3 days ago. You should have taken my 100+30 ecto then when you had the chance.

Jerk #1: No hahah. I have bone dragon and you don't noob.. hahah.

Me: Well, clearly you need to sell it for cash, so obviously that bone dragon broke you to begin with.

(But in honesty, I'm feeling sad that I missed out on a great deal with the bone dragon....until........ I added the name of Jerk #1 to my friends list and what did I see...Jerk number 1, was also, Jerk number 2. I play along with it)

I'm really tired of these offer jerks.. I mean really. If you are competant in selling something, you really should have a set price in mind, even if it is a certain percentage over what you are actually willing to settle for. Stop the offer bull shit, people, it really is losing you a lot of sales.

Some of us(me), arent that good at trading with other players(I shop most of my stuff), price check, and similar threads arent helping, I never seem to get what I ask for. Just the other day, I went to sell a minor ranger rune(think it was Marksmanship) for only 30 g above traders price, got no takers. So, I wind up shopping most of my stuff.

There is a second movers advantage in this type of bargaining. The fact that you don't want to name a price speaks as much about you as it does about them. Sellers don't need to name a price as much as you don't need to name one. Insisting on having the advantage in trading, doesn't give you the right to bad mouth everyone else seeking the same advantage.

If you are advertising, name a price if you desire a quick trade.

all my experiences have been best not to name a price
an example would be when i was selling a gold fellblade, i was going around everywhere with the "WTS Gold Fellblade = 40k"
not even one whisper
few hours later, i go around again this time with "WTS Gold Fellblade = Whisper Offer"
no more then 5 minutes later, someone whispers me with the "what do you want for it" message, i ask 39k and boom done deal (he probably would have went higher but i just wanted to get rid of it)

anyway, back on topic; this time it was in a scrimmage with some other guild member in our alliance
from the start, for some reason he kept wanting to "1 v 1" me
bs like "hey lets 1 v 1 plz" and "can we fight 1 v 1 b4 thy come plz"
just ignored the dude, and went on with our scrimmage
at the start of it, him and another player straight up gangbang me
i took it as a normal death, went on and ressed and kept going
i notice he was using glads defense+bonnetis+live vicarously at which point i stated again "i thought i told you guys not to bring farming builds"
i log out, since another player on the team is using a troll farming build as well
when i log back in, his "friend" is telling me he wants to 1 on 1 me, which i say that 1 on 1 warrior battles are boring, and to top it off him using that farm build i dont really feel like making a counter stance healing warr build
to keep it short, the dude went on for a while with the usual "r u afraid to battle lol" or "u don now how to kill me lol"
i kept trying over and over to tell him how his build wont work in a gvg, or in any other pvp oriented area
he chose to be arrogant, and started calling me a b**** remarking to his friend "lol why r u in a guild with b****es"
i log in with an iw mesmer, and say ok lets 1 v 1 which ends up with him saying "lol no cuz u have hexes lol" which is then when i say "exactly, your build is succeptible to hexes, thats why you need a different one"
again, ignorance, saying his build was all purpose and that it "owns"
we start another scrimmage, i go for the usual order flag runner>monk>ele, then go for him
after i kill him, i say again "see thats why you need to change your build up, in a real gvg the enemy can easily destroy you"
his reponse "no lol cuz u hav hexes lol way to hex and jmp me lol"
we keep pushing more and more in there base, finally when were at half health and them at 60% dp, they choose to gangbang me, i die, get ressed, and he says "O YEH UH HUH NOW WUT"
im just like "i dont see what youre bragging about, do you see how far we are in your base?"
we end up ganking the gl, and finishing the match

foreal, are these types of players hopeless? you try to offer them help, but they arrogantly deny it

I've been playing an assassin called "Ultimate Shinoobi",(Lol.Indeed.)
I apply for the group only to get rejected.Oh,i'm sorry,I didn't realize I wasn't a ****ing person.
I mean,I wouldn't know how to play an assassin,I wouldn't know how to use a teleportation skill like Deaths Charge to attack enemy mob casters like elementalists etc,and use a skill called Return to get back from the front line while i'm waiting to either recharge my skills or heal myself.

What the **** would I know?

It's such good fun when it works, but it only takes a couple of idiots to spoil that fun.

I just had a couple of guys from the same guild who'd obviously decided they were going to have some "Fun" whilst leeching. Instead of fighting, they just stood there emoting, saying "I'm with you kurzicks!". The worst thing is, instead of even staying at the start, they followed the team all the way to Gunther and proceeded to just dance in front of him >:E

Random PvP of all types needs some sort of jerk-control, be it a kick function, a referee, auto-kick of idling idiots, whatever, just SOMETHING.

Here's an interesting conversation I had with some idiot last night (and yes, he got reported). I didn't get the screenshots, but I remember most of it pretty well.

Random Guy: i am sure you know that selling accounts is against the eula

I just met a very frustrating guy... not exactly a jerk, but he pissed me off to such a point...

I habitually never call someone a noob, because everybody have their style of play.

But this time, I've met a noob.


A true noob.



I was in Ring of Fire, seeking a group to complete the bonus. So I join, the group seemed balanced, and we also have a player monk... the noob.


I never seen such bad of a monk... He was using Heal Party as a primary heal ! He was spamming it even when we where almost full health.

He had Heal Other, but he was rarely using it, and only when someone was below 50%.

And was using Aura of Faith for Elite.

And he had a big total of 2 in Divine Favor !


I mean, what the hell, people in the group were always dying. Heal Party is 15 energy 3 second cast time, no wonder.

So after countless deaths, and much DP for everybody, we die miserably at the fire imps because the monk suddenly decided to leave.


And he didn't said a thing during the entire game.


That's what I call a noob, and he seriously pissed me off, because I felt he made me waste my time...

Encounter with Missions Bots, Lilanthe. Its your first time you met one I think. Not me, I encountered one (too bad its another too much) in Vizunah Square ( was with my water ele.... surprise, eh?). She was a Korean and Mesmer... in the morning of American district where ppl still sleep after playing like 4 AM... in my time lol. She was Me/R, with hammer? Bah perhaps Illusionary Weaponary but kinder stupid. The mobs attacks, she didnt, she moved like a pet around menhlo (move a little and stop like pet). When a Afflicted approached, she attack... normally with no skills and return near Menhlo and continue to do the pet move. I took Screenshots but not report her now, I wanted to be sure.

So I tested the AFK trick, dont move after the first stage in Vizunah. Go to do my work and all, return 2h later. Still here, doing the same thing. Check the chatlog to see If she talked during that time. Nop, only the message about Europe controls HoH and nothing else when I entered in the mission. I quit GW to report to Anet my found and enter GW to do mission with my Water ele.

I found a group which I explained I was water and only the MM necro of the team told me I was noob because of my Lvl 14 Water.... and the only he died too in this mission I got Expert. The group, except the necro, was surprised how I helped them to survive and kill the mobs faster. by blurred, interrupted and slowed them.

In all, watch out of Missions Bots. I'm happy to see a mesmer in a team, but in this situation..... that brings bad reputation to them.

I have a great example.

So I was in ToPK tonight, during my first day of running b/p. Few good teams, mostly sucky ones. The last time I played I got a group that was probably the most annoying I've ever seen.

So we get through the first level no problem. Second level the orders leaves or lags out, forgot which. I'm guessing he left. So we had the 5 rangers, monk and mm left. Right near the beginning of the game the monk was the target of the usual tear-downs, so of course I tell him off for being the cause of his own death for running forward. The monk didn't expect that, I think he appreciated it somewhat. Anyway, we eventually get to the last level, some deaths here and there but I really didn't think we were doing that bad, and I was surprised that we had made it considering that the mm kept spouting remarks about the monk not healing and crap.

So we get to the final area. 3 groups left, we're fighting one of the smaller ones before the darkness dudes. and the mm decides to take it one more step, and tears into the monk. Again. I'm like dude what the **** are you doing. so of course the monk is really pissed off now and promptly stops healing him. so he dies and we keep fighting and he's like ha ha, you guys are like nothing without me. By this time I couldn't believe the monk hadn't left yet. I was like yeah, and you're nothing without the monk so shut up.

By some miracle we get it down to the final three bosses. The mm gathers up a few corpses and we're attempting to hit one of the bosses, despite most of us being 60% dp and being killed in 2 surges. and of course the mm starts again, saying he's gotta stay alive for this to happen. True, but after his spectacles I wasn't surprised to see the monk let him die again, when the boss was only 1/8 health. The monk had been healing him too.

Somehow we managed to kill these three bosses. but if I were the monk I would have left a long time ago, this guy redefined the meaning of b****ing for the sake of b****ing.

Haha. These stories are great. I suppose I'll toss one of mine out there. This one is from a guild from a long time ago. Appearently the leader didn't take much effort into screening his officers, even though they were ranked top 1000.

Him: Need 1 more for GvG
Me: I'm not busy, what do you need?
Him: OMFG READ THE F***ING FORUMS, WE'RE NOT GOING TO GIVE YOU THE BUILD GOD ^&*()!!!
and then it moved to a PM
Me: Dude what's your problem, I offer to play a build and you snap at me
Him: CAUSE YOU'RE A NOOB GAAAAH
Me: Hey dude take a chill pill- I just wanted to know what kind of build you were looking for, and if I could play it I'd go look it up
Him: <insult involving just as many unpleasant adjectives as obscenities>
Me: What ever.

Him: HAHAHA YOU'RE NOT IN THE GUILD ANYMORE YOU NOOB
Me: Cause I'm too good for you
Him: WHAT EVER NOOB

at this point he ignores me/bans me from TS. I send a log of this convo to the guild leader, and he freaks out at me for starting jank and gives me this speach about being respectful. Baah. I'll respect you when you learn to play the game, and to control your tempers. Preferably the ladder.


EDIT- Another tale.
For those who play European, you know how annoying it is when German/Italian/Spanish/French teams come to English districts to find players. Even more so when you join one, and they don't speak any <insert language other than English here> until after you enter, and then you realize the party leader is the only one other than yourself even semi fluent in English.

So here we are- Nahpui Quarter. We had a necro drop about 5 minutes in because the monks refused to keep him at full health (he was a blood/battery, and I guess he assumed he had first dibs at the heals from the energy he gave the monk (I know this from asking the party leader, an online translator, and my own knowledge of the Spanish language)). Next, we get about halfway through, and a warrior gets lost. Thusly, dying, and being inaccessable to res. So, we continue on, ultimately 2 men down. I'm a Minion Master (which personally I think is useless in Nahpui. They get progressively more useless as the mission gets progressively harder, unlike SS's) and we are resting before engaging the final boss. Anyway, a monk and a ranger decide to be stupid and run off to take the final boss with his whole posse of celestials+tengu. Unfortunately, this triggered a bunch of celestials to spawn where we are, cutting us off from aiding them. They died, and of course rage quit on us. That left us with-
a MM with no corpses
a nuker (quite possibly the most skilled elementalist I've ever scene in all my days)
a prot monk
a ranger spiker

Soo... we run up, and start trying to pic off the bad guys 1 by 1. I had the insite to bring along BR on my bar, so I could keep what ever charged, seeing as I knew what I was doing. Now, the prot monk's heals were limitted to- Shield of Regen, Aegis, RoF. Most of his other stuff didn't do much good VS the spell casting pain of the celestials. So I convince the ranger (party leader) to let me pull, because he had just recently started playing, and I have played a ranger for well over a year, thusly putting me in a better position.

The pull was PERFECT. We get the boss, and only the boss to come back to us. I have 60 DP though, so I ended up degening out (this is the mesmer boss we're against) and then ironicly as soon as we pull, about 10 celestials pop out of no where. We (and by we I mean mostly the ele, because as I said he was super hxc) get the boss down to about 1% health before dying.

Worst loss ever.

I recently experienced this all over again with a FRENCH group this morning- except instead of having people drop, they just got to 60 DP. We won though, thankfully the group knew to clear a path between the bosses before killing them, to make it easier.

This guy was more of a noob than a jerk, I don't even remember his name. I go into Droknar's Forge. I start voicing my opinions about how Vampiric is better than Sundering yet it it valued more.

Me: Sundering you get 20% armor penetration which gives you about 6-9 more damage every 5 hits. Vampiric you can get 3 damage every hit, and you gain the health, sundering is blockable, vampiric isnt.
Him: ROFL NOOB YOU THINK VAMP IS BETTER THAN SUNDERING BECAUSE YOU CANT AFFORD SUNDERING NOOB!!!!!!!!!
Me: I KNOW vamp is better than sundering, pay attention to the facts.

I leave and he whispers me: "I'm rank 9 get a life"
I whisper back "..."

I put him on ignore and told my friends about it, they all laughed. It was a bit more funny than mean.

Yes, I do. And we all know that NCsoft and ArenaNet don't just contact you in-game like that, so I just decided to have some fun with him.

I think they both where lol so they belong together hahah. One selling an account (against the rules) and one pretending he is a anet employee/gm (against the rules). Plus he just admitted in a open forum he was selling an account. I also find that 98% of account sellers are scammers since they know it can't be reported if they scam someone since the person that got scammed would be reporting their own violation too.

Doomlord wasn't selling his account. The guy spamming him had nothing to go on - he mentioned materials when DS offered him some STFU at a reasonable price. Given that, is it reasonable to assume that one bullshit accusation is more credible than another?

When i find a Thread i like i quote or post alot...anyhow to the point i no wat u mean we were doing the celestial mission(forgot name of quarter) anyhow we have a good group but we need a MM...so we get this guy claiming he is a MM we get started and things are goin ok but im think where the hell are all the Minions...Turns out he was summoning 1 Minion...1 Fin minion so im like"dude summone more minions!" hes like ok.. so he summons another minion...a few minutes later he has 1 minion again im like cmon MM summon more minions,one of they guyz is like thats pathetic,so he summons another minion and we reach turtle and are out numbered when we neeeded the minions...so we died a horrible death Sad part is we got outnumbered because the monk was walking backwards not seeing the huge mob of enemies right behind him so he pulls them and thats was screwed us

Maybe it was because I was bored, but I told him right from the start that I wasn't buying it, and when he continued anyways, I had some fun finding creative ways to mess with him. I was polite though!

Meo, haven't you ever heard of "innocent until proven guilty"?

It's a relatively rare scam because it's so stupid, but basically the guy who claims to be a GM will proceed to ask you to give him back the money that you took for the account sale so that he can "refund" it. Now, the crime that the scammer uses as an accusasion is usually something more generic, but this guy was stupid enough that he actually wanted me to believe I was guilty of something that I know for a fact I have never, ever done.

I sersiosly doubt a real GM would approch a person this way about selling accounts. If it was true they would have just banned him. This guy was prob. just trying to mess with people. Or like was suggested earlier maybe he was gonna try and get a account email and password out of someone if they bought into it....who knows why most of these jerks say and do the things they do...thats way this thread is so big!
