I have ran into ppl before that have never been in the FoW ever & yet are going there their first time to goto the armor crafter to get their armor. While they may have went to the UW to get the ectos they had to have bought thier shards somewhere seeing as they had never been in the FoW before.
Not that there is anything technically wrong with with that. It does however, IMO, lessen the achievement for those that actually worked for the armor. To me FoW armor & to a lesser extent 15k, is something that is special & should be earned thru blood sweat & tears.

The biggest jerk ive ever met was once when i had just completed a mission (Forgot which one) , left the group and wanted to go afk for a short while. Just before i go afk, some guy (w/mo) whispers me and starts cussing and bitching at me because i was an ele. I ask him, why do you despise ele's? he says i dont hate eles, i hate pyros. That jerk thought i was a pyre JUST because i was wearing pyromancers armor, when i was actually a air ele. For the next 15 minutes i was explaining to him that i was an air ele and i just liked the pyromancer armor, but he wouldnt believe me and just set me on ignore.I hate jerks like that who start pointless arguments with other people for no reason what so ever, and actually pretend to have some proof to back up their statement.

reason i say this is when i was running people to droknars, i got to the door to dreadnoughts drift, and one of the people that wanted a ride kept tellin me to hurry up. now ive done many runs before to know that most people that do this is going to make the trip very,very, bad for everyone. so i log out and the dude goes to dis 1 and says

Was today Insult Your Fellow Gamer Day or something?! Three times today I got hassle off people for no reason.
First, in Tombs, I post "R3 Ranger LFG", and I get some idiot I've never seen before PM me "rofl only rank 3 hahahaha".
Then while in Iron Mines helping a Guildie with an Elite Cap another idiot starts giving me hassle for an item he remembers me selling three months ago for a price he didn't agree with (get over it!).
And then in Tombs tonight, because I was bored and the place was empying, I just mentioned that the Halloween graphics were changing today...maybe somebody might be bored too, something to talk about. What's the reply I get? "Go shoot yourself". Good one.

The biggest jerk I've seen is when we were forming a group for FoW. We had a team of 5 and were still looking around for a few more people when suddenly we were sent into the UW by one of the monks. Soon enough all of us died because the monk aggroed everything then tried to impress us with his 55hp build, dispite the fact that he did 0 damage the whole time. Guess the upside was that he paid the 1k to get in and that no one cared that he could sit there, stay alive and do no damage.

I retract my old post about the biggest jerk i met. Some of the people in Lions Arch the past few days are the biggest jerks ever. There have been dozens of flamers camped in LA just flaming the hell out of new players or players who missed the entire halloween event. For example:

Jerk: OMG PRESS ALT F4 FOR A PUMPKIN HEAD YOU NOOB!
etc etc. That combined with the regular barrage of spammers trading on the local channel has increased my hatred for Lions Arch tenfold.

Biggest jerk I encountered was a warrior that blamed me for a failed FoW group because I "had Ascalon Armor" (on a mesmer).

well, even if you could drop anything that came up the stairs like that, people would still (mostly) think that rangers are useless. it's always the super-w/mo that kicks everything's ass. for the most part, anyway. rangers are underappreciated, along with mesmers and necromancers. then again, necros aren't quite anymore, in PvP at least. hooray IWAY. *hides behind wall to dodge incoming flames*

My latest jerk story (related to the female gamers topic again).
I was asked to monk for a guild that I've been often tombing with in past. So I join them, get on their vent ... most of the people on the team are rather new to their guild, and haven't tombed with me before.
Soon after we start, one guy starts b*tching at me and whining that I should be healing him (erm, I was the prot monk ^^), and basically having a nasty remark about everything I do. It starts to get annoying, so I tell him to stop being jerk and shut up. I usually don't talk much except the necessary announcements pertaining to the battle ... hearing my voice he and another guy proceed to discuss if I'm a she or a he, and when someone else says "she's a girl", the jerk starts yelling that everyone who sounds like female on vent is in reality a 12 year old kid being a smartass, and crap like that. All that while our team is against a pretty good guild and should be focussing on the game instead.
I start to get pretty ticked off and upset at this point, and leave the group when the round is over ...
He got kicked from his guild that same evening. Picking on your guild leader's friend for no other reason than just wanting to be a jerk is certainly a bright strategy (he probably thought I was some random monk).

Well my jerk story isn't too bad because i don't interact with people too often due to this kind of crap
but yesterday I decided I needed real people other instead of henchmen to do the ring of fire mission so i got a group together
we had 2 w/mo 2 eles 2 monks and a ranger and myself W/R
well we got into the mission and one of my monks starts bitching because I'm using a bow and keeps spamming "robert use something besides a bow" I'm like no I use what I want and I'm good at being a ranger I have my marksmanship maxed (no small feat without using runes) and my wilderness at 11 so I have nothing left for warrior skills unless i rearrange them (which I do from time to time depending on the situation) but overall we had a balanced team and we cruised through the mission and only missed the bonus because we killed the last boss too quick while one of the other guys was running the stuff back to the seer
but this guy even when we were at the next town kept crying about me using a bow I'm like WTF is wrong with me using a bow I have better bows than swords anyway and with 2 tanks in the group already what was the point in me using a sword
am I wrong here or was this guy really being an ass

well, generally warriors...don't use bows. period. swords and axes probably can dish out more DPS than a bow, too.
but that guy was kind of stupid for carrying on like that.

I know the sword may do a little more DPS but with the poison and ignite arrows plus the traps I have I do fairly well the only drawback of that is that I only have 20energy standard so I'm looking at getting som gladiators armor to help boost my energy
besides it's easier for the healers to focus on 2 guys getting their asses beat instead of 3
right now I'm just experimenting with different styles to see what works for me the best I may go back to the swords or maybe even axes but right now I'm doing well with bows plus when I play with henchmen I stay alive because mhenlo is a suckass healer
