The heroes that are with you when you claim a quest reward get experience even if they weren't present during the quest, so you can go about...

Save yourself owns with any attack class, end of story. With that build you should be able to keep it up all the time or almost all the time...

I almost always use a single sup, the reason being that for 99.9% of pve areas I and my heroes are never even in the slightest danger of dieing....
