I don't think there is any downside. It is a powerful item but only limited to non-lvl 20 characters.
Mostly PvP (RA,TA and AB) and opening the Zaishen chest when have enough points to trade for keys. Sometimes, I observe GvGs and HAs matches...
I think it is a good update. The fact that it is more kite-able than before is good enough. But yeah, everybody have their own opinion...
I prefer mix of themes, if not it will be really boring. However, I wish that the world map is not fragmented like GW1.

Agreed with above, no subscription fees means you can play whenever you want. If you get bored, you can stop playing for a while without any lost...
