I'm a R/W and I'm all melee . Expertise > Strength.
A common build involves using all of the Axes condition giving skills + Fragility and/or Epidemic + Victory is Mine!.
If you want to pvp, Necro primary just isn't the optimal path to take.

Depending on what PvP you do, you can probably ditch the Troll Unguent in favor of something else just because you'll have a Monk healing you .
