There is no limit. It lasts forever. However, the longer you last, the higher chance you'll get an Armor drop for Hero Armor.
Two Words: Vabbi Armor. Had 400k in storage. Only 200k now.
It doesn't matter whatsoever. Most people take Master of Whispers, since his quetss give a few Lightbringer points, but not many.
