1. IW is ONLY for melee. Doesn't work for ranged. Or else you'd see tons of bow-IWers running around since it would be much easier to use....

Not to mention that, truly, most intelligent mesmers will probably use armor with the blessed insignia with IW. (+10 AL when enchanted)
