*After an ally runs into a group of about 20 mursaat on Ice caves mission and gets banged in 5 seconds*

*I'm a monk*

HIM: "OMFG! You fugging monk, you fugging suck, you cant even heal! *Even though I ran into a group of mursaat when I wasnt infused and fugged the whole mission when they came after me*"

ME: "Congrats asswipe, you get a trophy for losing the mission for us!"

HIM: "If you would have healed *my sorry ass*, we would have won! My invincinecro *blah blah blah* build can own those mursaat *but im not infused* and you couldnt even keep me alive! Go kill yourself"

ME: "This game is rated T for teen, not ten year old little b1tch!"

*I leave*

Lol, so this isn't really a jerk thing... maybe it is... but I thought it was funny/interesting.

I was RAing and in the first fight we get into, this Necro from the other team instantly starts going, "Anyone for 1v1?"

Our Team ignores him and so he runs off by himself away from the fight going, "C'mon! 1v1"

We proceed to mash away at the remaining 3 members and they eventually die. The Necro's still going, "1v1!"

Our ranger goes, "Ok." And runs over and then kills them =D

I thought it was jerk-ish, as it's rather sad to join 4v4 and then request 1v1, as you're just bringing your team down a player.

This is a real story a few months ago. After I bought something from a seller, he showed me a sephis axe 15^50

Seller: Do you want this for 20k?
Me: Oh its non-max, no thx
Seller: Yes I bought it for 5k.

After a few minutes:

Seller: Lol I just sold my sephis to someone for 100k 10 ecto, I opened trade window and asked for 100k but he gave me 100k and 10 ecto. I am going to go offline for a while in case he got me.
Me: OMFG you are lucky

After a minute, a guy opened trade window and show me the sephis, and he asked for 80k, then I know he is the guy.

After a few minutes:

Seller: Hey, I just traded him a starter hammer for 50k!
Me: OMG is he retarded? Let me try

I opened trade window and put a rinblade on it, but he canceled my window.

This is probably the dumbest chinese farmer.

Agh, 'nother PvP jerk I just ran into!

Now, this guy was a Mo/W16 and suprisingly, no one in the team left (he was the only monk); even when he cast Mending 2+ on the whole party. The team doesn't even say anything when he sits there and doesn't do anything for the rest of the match. Infact, we manage to win the first one.

I think, okay, we won. No big deal, he'd probably just new and I even defend him when someone goes: Lol... 2+ mend

In the second match, he does his Mending thing and proceeds to sit in the corner. Everyone slowly goes down but him and we sit there going,
"Have you got a res?" for a bit.

Thankfully, we see him cast res sig, only to move so it interrupts. We sit there with our mouths open going: FFS... okay... ,maybe it was an accident

He goes to use it again, moves again, casts Mending again on himself for some reason, uses res sig, moves and it repeats until he dies.

I don't know about you, but that just isn't cool... who would find that fun anyway?

Not the biggest jerk, but funny anyway. I was trying out some builds in Random arena and at the beginning of a battle, we had a monk on our team who flashed a rank emote to us - it was a wolf, no idea what level it is - and then when the battle started, died in about 10 seconds and promptly quit while I was resurrecting him.

Oh, the pointlessness of it all.

I remember seeing this in RA, some monk with full FoW armor was casting mending and doing nothing else... is this some kind of monk strike?

That doesn't sound nearly as bad as the level 10 W/Mo I encountered in RA with full black 15k platemail, a victo's blade, and an eternal shield who cast mending on 2 people and stood in the corner the rest of the match. Not only that, but I ended up meeting this guy twice...

I don't recall where I saw this (I think it was GWG), but that's a bot. The program is sold on Ebay. The bot just casts mending, then sits back and sucks up the faction from other players' kills. The bot user just leaves it running, and comes back at the end of the day to find his account full of faction to be used for unlocks.

When I see one of these, I just quit and zone back.

Bot faction farmer = jerk.

That's terrible. I am sooo tired of bots being sold for everything. Its kinda sad that people want to play a game without every really playing it O_o Seems kinda dumb to me.

This is sick.I play RA just for fun sometimes but see about FFB (Faction Farming Bots) is just ridiculous. After that, they cry to people why they got hacked. Players doesn't notice that?

Story one: Once I was monk in a full group at Iron Mines and we all agreed to fight up to the infusion and then get the mission over with. When we fight the Eidolon and this Necro player grabs the essences and runs back towards the seer. Just as he get to the seer he starts dancing and say "Okay everyone gimme 1k or else I am not turning this in."

Everyone started calling him an asshole and spamming him for being a effing dick. Only when we threaten to report his ass, did he turn the essence in and saying shit like "Well I was just kidding and RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing with you guys". Also this guy had a perchant for running ahead of everyone and aggro-ing everything. The rest of the group members started PMing me telling me not to heal him the next time he agrros and just let him die. I went along with the group and let him run into a group of mursaat with mantles and he dropped like a fly. The rest of the group laughed and then each one started leaving saying that he got what he deserved and that they were not going to finish the mission with him coming along. I was left there with the dude so I rebirthed him and left him there by himself.

Story two: A guy was advertising that he was buying ectos for 7k at ToA and my significant other had one to sell to him. He get to a trade window with the guy, offers him the ecto and the guy effing puts 7g pieces not 7k. He told the guy that he made a mistake and the guy types "Ooh, my bad" and DOES IT AGAIN at 7g. My significant other cancelled the trade and started calling him out as a scammer on the public channel.

Here is my first jerk story including couple of jerks:

I was doing Elona Reach mission + bonus run like usual. I pick up 4 guys (team was 5/6). Last member seemed hard to find. 2 of 4 start to do: "gogogogogogo".
Finally i get full team, but when asking for "ready up?" 1 member doesnt reply anything, so i kick him. I knew this is going to be a bad team.

Finally we agree that all pays 1,25k. We start the mission. I finish bonus without problems and fairly quickly. I return to ghostly hero. I get first a PM from jerk#1:
"can i pay after mission, i left money to storage". I reply: "ok, give me a part of your armor, ill give it back to you when you pay". And jerk#1 left.

I get money from other 2 members, but jerk#2 seems to be AFK. I wait for few mins and state that im going to take this crystal far away if he doesnt pay. I wait for few more minutes and return the money of those 2 not-so-jerks. I start running the crystal back to somewhere hard place and then jerk#2 wakes up. "sorry, i had to help my mum with something, sorry". And then the 2 others start flaming him. I aggro all groups i can and die to the middle of about 20 mobs.

It was hilarious to watch them trying to get the crystal

Yeah, that's what I thought at first, because he just cast 2+ mending. But then I saw the character try and use res sig only to purposefully interrupt it by moving, which is when I figured he was just being a jerk.

Those bots... if they have bots, they should:

1) make the bots themselves and spend the days it takes to create a bot.

2) make the bot ADVANCED as in it targets and fights like a normal person.

3) dont use the bot but once in a great while (most people just leave thier computer on all day long for weeks to get faction and farm stuff)

4) Avoid using a bot at all, its against the EULA (End user license agreement) and you sound like a real "newb" and dont make much of a gamer when it defeats the purpose of PLAYING the game in the first place... Thats like leveling services in WOW, pay 400$ to play the game for me to level 60... bullshit...

One time that realy just pissed me off and really got under my skin:

I was in ToA waiting for a party for something that had to do with FoW (i was bored) so i spam that i want to start a group and a monk sends me a PM saying to send him an invite. so he joins and HE is the party leader and he starts adding people... all this time i am chatting with guildies and what not...

so then we need one bonder monk and we can head off to FoW and there are these 2 people that have an ad saying "1 war with full FoW and 1 bonder monk LFG for FoW" (something like that with bragging about them) so they have sent an invite and he kicks me and i guess accepts theirs.

I was the one who started the group pretty much and he kicks me cus some chump with full FoW was obviously better than me. So i Pm saying "wtf why did you kick me, i was there from the start" and he replies "Bye" and then goes into FoW. So now i am out of a group and about 30 min wasted.

So i went on a spider run and got 4 shards so i guess it wasnt that big of a waste.

Rofl, I agree, at least make them damn things useful if they insist on using them... I remember seeing a Trapper Bot a while back that stayed by the spawn and spammed traps for the whole match. I doubt a lot of the bots get faction considering they're really useless most of the time...

Some people can be such a silly person.

I was forming a barrage group by tomb, and it was an early morning GMT, so it takes longer then usual to find the suitable players.

Many have been impatience, and begun to be quite disruptive, such as spamming, but I know I want 2 FWs and 1 WW in the group, so even knowing that there are not a lot of players around, I stuck to my gun, and kick the ones who refused to bring the suitable sprints for the team (some simpily dont have it or did not know what they were).

This caused a delay, and those who were being disruptive left the group and form among themselves, and shouted with several of insults on the public channel, as well as saying we could have had a complete team if I did not mess around.

During the process to re-forming my team, the person came in front of my character, and kept blaming me for being slow, and laughed that my team number was still small, this lasted 30 mins.

It was a rather immature thing to do, but for somebody who would spend such an amount of time to blame and trying to make other person feel bad, surely shows this is his own personal issue.

And during the whole time I did not reply to his immaturity, none have I been impolite to anybody, I hope this will reflect the importance of quality of the players over a immature team.

Romeo I so feel your pain >_< usually I go with my guildies and we really take our time especially if we have to fill spots with pugs. We are almost always on TS so if one of the group starts bitching about how long its taking I tell the leader of our group to kick that person - that if they want to be impatient they can find another group. Hey if ya really need a spot sometime usually LATE in the evenings of eastern timezone - call on us Lady Eviance & Lady Eviance - We have our flaws at times but we almost ALWAYS make it through - even if its from a one man comeback and a lot of rebirthing >_>
We love beating the odds its so much fun!


OMG thats a tossup and a half.....

There is the one in our guild who is too ADD to give a crap when we hold a meeting about his ADD - saying: Thanks for wasting my time (like the rest of the officers hadn't wasted their time trying to get through to him >_<)

Guy in tombs grabs me up for a run as BP - Hauls us in WITHOUT a full crew and with no skill setups for ANYONE then blames me.... Heck I was by the campfire....
So anyways as if that wasn't stupid enough he shouts out to the district that I am a group killer o_O!!!! And that I dragged them in.... I got a group willing to back me up and didn't believe the guy - so yeah we made it to the end =P! and guess what ya MORON! I DIDN'T GET ANYONE KILLED AND ACTUALLY SAVED A MONK! =P -_- PLEASE you can't be a newb and have almost 2mill xp -_- idiot... *sighs*

Anyways the most recent of the JERKS was a guy we picked up in Thirsty, who said he was lfg and he was an MM - the PERFECT fit to our nice group....

He got his cap and my lvl 16 monk was eaten by him minions... - our other monk took the ghostly hero out of the mess and got me rezzed and kept the party from being eaten by the 10 minions >_<!!!!!!!
And WE FINISHED THE MISSION!!! HA YA BIG FAT JERK!
I messaged him (later learning my status was offline) asking if he was proud of his little act - cause it failed..... He failed cause my guildmates are just that great! Dwayna bless them, they rock! We finished with my prot, our healer, tank, ele, and ranger - and with only a bit of trouble at the monk boss.

Never do my guildies leave a group stranded even if it is a dead group - ITS CALLED BEING A DECENT HUMAN BEING!
And this is why I don't like PUGS - at least you KNOW the failures of your henchies - or how they will screw you over..... At least henchies don't abandon the group - if they do, it's because the AI sucks or the mob was just too big.... or they are using their healing sig >_> (THOM!!!)

Before being a total %&#! head, remember that one day you will reap what you sow, so ask yourself - how would you want to be treated when that time comes?

Ahh and the best story is that of a scammer who got his daddy called, lol - he had to give back the money he scammed and him and his buddy got into some deep crap... Sweet justice, if only it could be served so easily everytime! (But that isn't my story, it's someone elses and not for me to tell in its entirety.)

When I was first new to this game I was in pre and saw someone saying they had a rare weapon called a White Scythe for sale for 200 g (dont remember exact price) well I bought it and then the person said over local chat

"OMFG, I just scammed you! LMFAO I scammed you you can get those easy hahahah"

Then they left and I was like D:

lmao, thats funny apprentice. I think he/she was crazed??

But, anyways, my story.

I was doing a trade for a crystalline (12 ^ 50). At the time, i didnt have any ecto, so i said ill pay in cash if we can get a mod. We get a friend, not mod. He gives crystalline to him, and I give gold to him, and he scams us both, I know this because the guy who was selling me the crystalline was a 5 month friend/guildie. So, now he's down a crystalline and im down XXXXk of gold. Just great...to make it even worse...

The friend/now scammer....was our guild leader who then proceeded to leave the guild.

Ok, theres nearly 2000 posts about the biggest wankers weve all seen in GW, and only around 200 posts for nicest dood in GW thread.
That means if GW has 1million players, 900,000 are wankers, and 100000 are ok...

I have read a number of the posts and have laughed until I have cried. The lives we lead with our experiences is a hoot. However, in fairness and reality, this still just a game. Yes, gaming online is a lifestyle in a way. It takes us to a nice place to forget a little while about the harsh reality of true life. Used in moderation, as with anything that can become addictive, one can have a wonderful time. Be careful what you say and who you say it too!!!

Some folks have been threatened over this game with bodily harm or even death...mind your P's and Q's, because even in the heat of the moment you can be faced with an outcome of your own actions that you may not like...

I did my Academy stint the other night. The other person was a ranger, not sure what his secondary was, and I was secondary Elementalist. Well, it was going pretty well, it seemed, he sent me to the Res gate once, and I know I dropped him once or so. Final score was 4-2, my favor.

Well, afterward I get this message:

I was amazed. I wasn't going into this to beat anyone, but I certainly am not going to lie down. So I replied,

"yes, but I won." No answer.

I was playing an older character a while back (Necro chick, who I'll admit for a video game character could have been considered 'cute'), anyway, this kid comes up to me and whispers "Hey there, I'd just like to say you're probably the hottest necro in this district. I've never seen a necro as cute as you."

And sadly, the kid continues, who, I eventually realise is either extremely sloppy at typing, or is 12.

I found it rather amusing, so, being a guy playing a chick character whilst laughing my ass off, I decided to play along.

He continues to state that he's going to add me so we can hang out 'in-game' and do some quests and stuff, but I 'needed to get a couple other sets of armor' so I could look different every time he saw me.
The problem with that is at the time I never really payed attention to the 'ignore' option on a friends list. He added me, though I didn't add him, which meant he could continue spamming his pick-up lines thinking I was a girl, but I eventually blocked him.

Now I just simply state that I'm a dude.







As for in-game jerks ..........
I hate when you're in a town trying desperately to make a few grand (quickly, due to reasons which prevent you character from farming, such as level), so you try to sell a bunch of weapons, and someone says "I'll buy that."
You, or myself, gets all excited in hopes of finally making that extra 3k to get your max armor and the dude takes a half-second to look at the item and says "omfg, I don't want that shit you noob, get real items, you don't even have 15k. quit the game."

The funny part is, in advertising for the sale request, I specifically stated the what the weapon was, and what its mods were, and he agreed to buy it, yet ... I'm a noob because the weapon is crap? Right ...
Second of all, wtf does not having 15k armor have anything to do with the items I'm selling?
3rd of all, who cares whether I have 15k or Drok's? Same damn stats, just better appearance, and I'm not one to care so much that I need to spend hours saving for something that's just going to make my character more visually attractive ... yet ... alike to almost 1/4 of the rest of the characters in the game.


Sorry for long post.

I ran into this type of "player" last night twice in RA (yeah, just killing some time). He/She/It would just cast a +2 mending on everyone and sit at the spawn point. He/She/It was only level 17 and never used any skill other than mending and constantly spammed mending on self when finally attacked. Looks like this bot was trying to farm faction and experience.

A couple of observations -- if this is a bot, then why not at least go with a +4 mending to increase your odds at faction gain? It's already bad enough on the team who has this "player" having to go 3v4. Also on the fire map, mending just fell off everyone due to range before the conflict even started.

I have been in teams with bots.

One was the warrior who latched onto me and followed me all around the match like a henchman, didn't attack, didn't res, didn't do a damn thing. However, we did win a few before I realized what he was. Reported him, with screenshots of... our team's conversation, because what else is there to report with a bot? Not like you catch 'em red handed not doing anything.

The other was the trapper, who did just stay at spawn point and trap, trap, trap, over and over and over. Reported that one too; luckily it wasn't on my team this time.

Never been on the team with the low-level Mending monk though. Is it a leveling bot as well, which will eventually get this monk up to farming speed soon? May have paid extra for that. Probably they figure folks are happy enough to see they have a monk on their team that they won't leave right away, even with +2 mending.

These people are jerks and griefers.

I find it very sad that this thread has gone on for so long, and has so many posts. kinda makes you lose faith in humanity doesn't it?

I just experienced this while doing the Across the Wall quest in Pre.

I was asking around, looking for a group etc., some Warrior dude named John Doe 1TDX14 (it'd be funny if it was one of you :P) replies 'ye bitch lets do that shit, add me i wanna go across the wall.'

So, I added him out of dire need to get the quest done.

We don't talk at all, the entire quest, except when I tell him not to aggro Charr because we'll both die ... what does he do? Aggros the Charr.



Anyway, we finish the quest, and we're outside the wall getting our rewards when this convo starts: [keep in mind spelling is as chat goes ... for sentimental value. ok minus the swearing.]

Not really, this thread is just a way for folks to vent their frustrations. People don't have bad experiences in the game nearly as often as good ones, but the bad ones have more of an impact. In the working world, the saying is "It takes one awe-crap to wipe out 1,000 atta-boys." Besides, I've never had that much faith in humanity, anyway.

Not only no names, but it seems your "jerk" thought that he found a team mate and didn't realize that it was a "one quest stand", something I have always hated myself but have grown to learn to expect.

Nope, in this case, I would have to say that your jerk was NOT the jerk.

And he was being obnoxious since before he even accepted the request to join a group, I dunno about you guys but I find the obnoxious people are usually jerks the majority of the time.
Not only that, I specifically told him I was LFG for Across the Wall QUEST, not "LFG for questing" or "LFG to go Charr hunting".
Whether he realised it was quest-only or not, he was being obnoxious and then resorted to swearing at me and expecting me to give him money after. Well, for one, I never asked him to help ME with the quest. I assume that when I join a group it's to help each-other, not one specific person unless they specify that they are the only ones needing help.

LFG to me is to look for a group of people, or one single person, to enter a mission or a quest, or simply PvE, and complete it (defeat it) by means of teamwork. Not only did he ignore me for the entire quest when I asked not to aggro the Charr, he told me to give him money in the end. I didn't ask for a runner, and he didn't 'run' anything anyway.

If I was being the jerk, I simply would have left, but I had said thanks originally for helping with the quest and then he assumed I was ditching him and continued to swear at me and make childish 'put-your-foot-down' comments like "Go, I don't want to see you anymore."

People have different levels for considering someone a jerk, it doesnt' always have to be an extreme case.

To him, I'm obviously the jerk, but to me, not only was his response to the situation immature, but he over-reacted. I was immature in that I decided to dance in front of him while he was ranting. True. But I wasn't doing it to piss him off, I was doing it as a joke to find out if he was actually being serious or not. Then he decided to ask me for money.
If someone's looking for a group or person to fight things with, SPECIFY when you join. I specified when I sent out the request and he, for some reason, neglected to notice the 4 or 5 words after 'LFG.'

Yeah, most of the time when I do Across the Wall, the other player will inevitably ask, once it's complete, if I want to charr hunt. I always say no. Across the Wall is usually the last quest I do before I go post, so I'd prefer to hunt charr in the post world. Everyone has always accepted my 'no' with good grace. If you advertise for a certain quest and the person accepts, you can only expect them along for that quest. You can ask if they want to continue with you afterwards and do other things, but the person is under no obligation to agree. If you're looking for someone to hang out with over several quests, state that up front.

I never would have even bother to add him after this response.

Biggest jerk i came across was a guy who ran up to me opened and opened a trade window,
i didnt want to be rude so i wated to see what he was offering,

he offered me loads of different colored dyes and a crappy bow,

i closed the trade window and said:
" i dont dye my armour untill i have either the 1.5k ones or the 15k ones and the bow i have all ready is good"
which i believe is pretty reasonable,

and he replyed:

" well that makes u a F****** retard then doesnt it, whats the point in leaving ur armor its normal color "

to which i responded:

" id rather save the money for decent weapons/armor than spend it on dyes which im just gonna waste on crappy armor "

then he said:

" o go F*** urself u stupid n00b, Learn to play the damn game "

Advertised for a Bonus only group in Sanctum Cay. had a lvl 16 ranger wanting to join. Being not too picky, i let him in as well.
He then proceeded to AFK the rest of the mission.
At times like this I wish there was a kick function.

Ok I was in UW helping a group of rangers cap a spider. (I didnt need to cap was just there for support, so no loss for me lucky )

anyways we all decided before even entering UW who will get the first spider.

so we go in doing the quests etc. we all go to kill the last couple of restless spirits on the hill behind the balthazar statue where the spider spawns and i noticed one of the rangers started heading back (NOT the one who is suppose to get first cap).


anyways, you can all guess what happened. we finished the quest, spider spawns, and the bastard quickly charms and quits out of UW

geez what an ass! luckily it wasnt me who need to cap
