The Biggest Jerk You Ever Encountered in GW (no posting names)

Alright, now I've had a couple instances where these "jerks" ruin all the fun for me. For starters:

Jerk #1

Jerk: WTS - GW Account, 2 Lvl 20 chars. W/Mo, R/N. 15k armors and decent weps! - 10k! (Wanting to quit for WoW)

Me: 10k for all that eh? (what the hell, 10k isn't that much...) I end up buying the account from him for 10k and then he logs off. Now, before I bought it stuff was said as;

Me: I have screenies in case you scam me just so you know.
Jerk: It's all good man. I don't screw around like that. Just tired of the game.
Me: Alright, well it's a deal then.

Then he logs off with my 10k and I have no account info.

Now, I will admit...It was dumb for me to buy an account in-game. I just decided "what they hell? 10k isn't that much." Well, I sent my complaint and many sshots to ANet and told them about it. Havn't seen him on since. To be honest, I will gladly pay 10k to get a cheating idiot like that out of the game for the said amount of time.

Jerk #2

I have my main char Tyr Sangreal W/Mo Lvl 20. 15k Glad armor and all the goodies. I am trying to be helpful and nice to the newer GW players so I give a group of 3 people a run to Sanctum Cay. (From Ascalon) NOTE: These were all like lvl 2-6. I take all that time and I finally get there. One guy whispers me telling me that it was the worst, slowest run in his life and began spamming me constantly and throwing vulgarities.

Jerk#2: I swear to God that was the slowest run EVER!
Me: Uh, it only took me 20 min...
Jerk#2: I can do that same run in 5 minutes!!!
Me: No you can't. There's too much running there for 5 minutes.
Jerk#2: LMFAO LAWLERSKATES OMGWTFBBQCHUCKNORRIS!!!1!1one, whuteva!
Me: ...

After that he still went on to spam me with leet speak and all that moronic typings. (No offense to those who do it here. Just annoys me at times. lol)

So, that's my experience with jerks. Well...more like slobbering idiots but I'll call them jerks for the threads sake.

Reporting jerk #1 wasn't that smart, since buying and selling accounts is against the policy of Anet and they could just as well taken action against you. :/

Happened to me a while back when I was getting my warrior through Abaddon's Mouth. We started the mission and the other warrior had a vampiric sword on, a few people didn't load yet so we were waiting and his hp started going down....

me: why don't you switch weapons, we have to wait for everyone else and walk some ways before we hit enemies...
warrior: i dont have any other weapons this is my only weapon
(by then i see it's a victos blade, this was a day after these greens began to drop)
me: oh, why is that?
warrior: because i sold all my weapons for this sword
me: well thats silly, now you only have one sword, how much did you buy it for
warrior: 200k + ectos
me: wow, what a waste :\

(now everyone has loaded and we start moving)

We had just finished off the first group and everyone moved back to rez him and some others that had died, he continued with the name calling and insulting of my family. Mind you the spelling that he used to swear at me was horribly mangled but he managed to get some things right. At that point I was getting sick and tired of this guy so I apologized to the team and left. I'm not one to just quit on a team and that was the first time I ever have. After I left he started messaging me the same thing about how I was gay and how my parents are stupid and how I'm an ass cheese mofo; etc...He still messages me in game time to time (and also has me ignored) but when he does my guild is happy to return the favor to him.

Why's he selling his account for game gold anyway? If he's quitting, what's he want with the gold? That smells like a scam from the start. Since Factions began there have been an increasing amount of scammers trying to take advantage of all the new players.

The funniest jerk of all is the scammer who starts cussing you out and calling you a n00b for exposing his scam in the all chat. It's hilarious to watch these people go impotent with rage, even more so to report them for the original scam, and then report them for the abusive/threatening language.

saw this scammer doing the old 'put the amount of plat into the gold slot'. The execution was terrible, a blind person could have seen through it.

Hmmmm, once we had a complete Jerk who was a wa/mo. I have never met such a Jerk. Anyway it goes like this, we began the mission elona ranch.

Saw this yesterday in Factions, in the Village...

Guess guy just tried to do a quest with a few ppl and it didnt go so well...

me: wow there killer, alot of ppl are leaning how things work and such..

me: like i said, chill out, any idea how many ppl never played this game at all
Jerk: AM I THE ONLY GOOD PERSON AROUND HERE!! THIS TOWN IS FULL OF NOOBS

few other ppl tell him to grow up and such. and he says more intelligent things... i'm on my warrior from tyrian area, lvl 20 and such, helping a friend with a quest, so i click on the Jerks name to see his stats... lvl 5 a/rt, no guild, rank 3...

me: WOW ur the man, TAKE UR RANK 3 BACK TO THE ARENA AND LEARN SOME TEAM WORK.. also ur build sucks...

Then he zoned out....

NO IDEA WHAT PPLS PROBLEMS ARE!?! I AM SO BURNT OUT ON THE RUDENESS...
lately its been play with guild, friends, or henches, ppl in PUG's just arent worth the time, i have had better success with robots then ppl... less arguments and attitudes... alot of ppl are beeing such arses these days... everyone is a pro if u ask them....

Wow. Why is this thread so huge? That's not a good thing, if you ask me. I think you all should go post in the "Nice people" thread too. It's so much better, and it needs to be longer.

But getting on with the jerks... (yes, I know, that's hypocritical)

Incident #1)

I was in a decent PuG doing Ice Caves of Sorrow. It was my first character, first time through the game, and I was a fire W/E, level 20. Admittedly, I was somewhat still not the best of players, but this doesn't have any bearing on what happened.

We were in the midst of fighting a fairly large group of primarily melee enemies. I had 2 "adjacent" fire spells on my skill bar, Phoenix and Inferno, and I was spamming these whenever I could, because they were hitting a huge number of enemies.

At about that time, jerk#1 (a w/mo who had just died) says:

"Dude, stupid tank, stop nuking the enemies and making them run away!"

To which I replied:

"I'm not making them run away!" (In truth I was not, the two eles on my team were using fire storm and lava font, triggering the AI)

The conversation played out along these lines:
"OMG, Stop NUKING THEM!"
"Dude, I nuke for damage. Do you not WANT me to do damage?"
"!&$@@$*!&&~ you !!#&! n00b!"
"What is your problem? I didn't do anything to you!"
"YES, YOUR STUPID NUKING IS MAKING US DIE!"

At this point, jerk # 2 (a ranger, I think), joins in and BOTH start berating me.

Luckily for poor me, Nice guy#1 joins in on my side and tells them to lay off, and defends me, etc. He also PMs me and says "I don't know why they're doing this, you're doing fine, etc."

The jerks finally laid off me and we finished the mish.

Incident 2)

(I'm a W.Mo now)

I had just pulled together a 5 man oro team (this was prior to the book fix, obviously), and we went out into Footprint to work our way down into SF. Upon our entering Grenth's, I waited for our bonder, then ran down and pulled out my bow to pull the first group up the ramp. I do so, and the 3 ice golems and 1 stone summit gnasher come up to us. At the point when we begin attacking them, our bonder pulls off all his bonds, and we promptly die. We res, and the conversation is as follows:

Me: "What the heck? What happened?"
Other players: "I dunno."
Me: "Well, shall we go back and try again?"
Others: "Sure"

We enter Warcamp again, and our Bonder promptly quits. I pm him to ask why he quit:

Me: "Hey, why did you quit?"
Jerk: "You're a !#$&ing n00b tank, you're so stupid."
Me: "What? How so!"
Jerk: "You don't know how to pull ----, and you do like no damage!" (keep in mind, I'm a STANCE tank, and as such had brought only two attack skills.)
Me: "I'm not supposed to do damage, I'm supposed to take damage."
Jerk: "OMFG you n00b! STFU!"
Me: "Dude, cool off. I'm not doing anything to you."
Jerk: "YES YOU ARE YOU N00B! I HATE YOU!"
Jerk is ignoring you.

Just in case I ever ran into him again, I put him on ignore, as I never wanted to play with him again.

If i meet someone i dont like i just find a way to make them admit theyre wrong. really simple bcuz i am always right This in fact, usually makes them even bigger jerks that flame up and curse *que filter off* and then i pretty much just laugh at how annoyed they get, they die and we as a group decide to let him lie there. maybe its not very kind, but it cracks me up.

ps, Talon ~ i guess you can see it both ways, but i like watching people flame then mocking their bad spelling... if thats bad then... uh yea its bad. haha

If it's a GvG rank, or PvP, it's probably -124712074 because I don't do it at all, I just love the PvE and adventuring.

I love the whole increase in jerks since Factions was released though, because people can transfer their level 20's from Tyria to Cantha, they automatically assume that anyone playing a new char in Cantha is a noob.

So, like my experience the other day trying to do the Captured Child quest or whatever, and the 2nd mission before transport to the Marketplace, I got to bare witness to a 'helpful' level 20 Wammo who decided to rush into absolutely everything he saw and die, every time, and then blame it on all of us.

Jerk: Yo, where was my healing? I'm running into the fray and you're all standing there, wtf is up with that? I told you all I was going to help and this is what I get (sounds familiar???).
Necro: Uhh, dude ... we're all pretty much casters, or healers ... which are technically casters ... seeing as they use spells and what not.
Jerk: STFU NOOB, YOU CAN'T KILL SH*T
Me: Ok, casters have long ranged weapons, how do you expect us to 'run into the fray' and be a moron like you when we automatically stop at said distance to attack?

Necro: Probably because you died in a good ... 10 seconds, due to various forms of hexes which I myself have no control over, and while the Monk is healing you, that leaves the Mesmer who probably only has a couple interrupts which recharge slowly, and the Assassin, who is currently dead, and AFK I think ...

Not to mention the fact that every Assassin I've played with, simply runs into the fray thinking they are unstoppable as well and end up getting destroyed. I mean, I LOVE Assassins, and I'm still adjusting to them like I'm sure many others are, but I think you need to play them a lot smarter than most people have been. Not like .. HEY SWEET AN ASSASSIN I'M GOING TO OWN, WHAT'S THIS SKILL DO, INVALID TARGET? WTF? ATTACK B*TCH!!

I've played the majority of Factions with henchies so far because I'm so tired of people like this (and that). All the kids on my friends list are still in Tyria cuz they either don't want to play Factions at all, or aren't there yet.

PS. if anyone wants to have a fun chill time playing this game add me LOL, I'm down for meeting real Guru-sans, and tired of meeting peen-faces.

This one is a rareity,

Playing Beacons Pearch, nice and easy, im playing as tank and our relatively new healer is playing with an over dose of smiting. I dont have anything against smiting, it has its uses but he was our main healer and i advise he takes a pure healing build next time. He starts arguing when people start falling saying we should bring self heals (even though he did not let us know he was half smite).

Anyway we get to the end at last where you have to light the three beacons and he has the torch, i think you can tell where this is going.

He lights the first two then sits afk or an hour or so, thankfully the joke was on him, i was at a friends house and we had two spare computres so we logged in on our second accounts and just played other characters while he was sat waiting, and he eventually lit the final beacon.

LOL, I would have left.
Then again if I had the ability to play two games I'd do the same haha

i met many jerks in this game but one of those jerks i can't forget him

i was farming with a group for green as a bonder (5 men ) and the healer monk got a green drop and i think it was for necro curse of hand...the monk didnt notice that he got valuable green drop ( he was busy healing )

after we killed the group i told him to pickup his green item but the stance warrior sent me many pm to shut up (he said to me: STFU) and i wasn't know what did he mean by this so i post in team channel: what does mean STFU? the healer monk couldnt know wat we r saying cause he wasnt reading at all.

i was still not understand why did he say that many times but 1 of the others sent a pm and told me the warrior sent to him that too.

he was acting like AFK to take the green for himself but he couldnt get it and thats good.


I advice u all to look for green text to know what drops for u.

Worst 1 i've seen was Thirsty River.

Again its a W/Mo.... seems to be catching. We were killing Sand Giants for some morale, so the warrior runs off. We all told him to come back, but he carries on going. 30 seconds later, cut scene starts...
Entire team starts asking him why the hell he did that. So we get on with it, kill the first priest etc, then stand at the door and think..... hang on a minute.... that twats taken the ghost somewhere!
So we wander back to find the retard stood behind a group of enemies with the ghost refusing to move forwards. So after a load of random insults are thrown at each other he leaves. The team go back to town and to get ready for another go, so he's stood there and starts calling us noobs etc. Eventually after the whole of Thirsty River is laughing at him he decides that he's gonna have to go get his other character (i'm not sure why...). What surprised me more than anything was it was yet another W/Mo

A scammer that berated a friends wife after swindling him on a Superior Rune of Absorption back when they were worth almost 100k. (Yanked money as he was hitting accept.)

Ok, I was doing a quest today and didn't get three swords, so I was wondering why. I asked a question in one of the towns and was instantly flamed for asking this question. People are mentally ill in this game I swear.

Some guy said it's because I took too long and should "read the effing book," in which there is absolutely no mention that the quest rewards are time based. There is a little blurb that mentions performance based, which could be interpreted as number of mobs killed or time or anything really. But I guess I am psychically supposed to know this, right?

But no, this guy has to go on a huge rant about how n00bs shouldn't play etc etc.

Why can't people just not say anything if they're that bitter/angry?

But this has just been one of many times I have seen such behavior in players. The major problem with online gaming IMO is it has spawned millions of the super sarcastic, super cynical scumbags who are basically keyboard toughguys - they get off on pretending to be Andrew Dice Clay online, but you know in real life, they would cry and shake at the prospect of such actions.

Yeah some guy today was sync dancing with Ritualists in town, and I asked why my sync wouldn't work properly, and if we had to all /dance * at the same time, and he proceded to call me gay, and a f4ggot, and that I shouldn't play the game because I don't know one command. So true, with a lot of things Faction-wise I could be considered a noob, but who isn't?
He didn't have to boast insults.

I basically said:
"Oh yeah, definetly a noob, I mean I've been playing since beta and all, but I guess that doesn't really matter ... must be a noob then," which is obviously a lie becuase I've only been playing GW since the summer, and only started playing WITH people a few months ago. I was all about playing solo when I first got it.

The noob comments always strike me as rather amusing, noob or idiot, unless someone does something incredibly stupid, that isn't beneficial to you or your character's well being, then I feel the need to call them a noob. But if someone asks a simple question? I don't understand why people can't just be polite, pipe up and answer for once.

i AM a Warrior/Monk and i DO use mending on MYSELF. i cant say some of us arent assholes, but i cant say we all are, either.
i hate it when im tanking and doing my part of the group and all of the sudden one of the casters gets tagged and eventually the group dies. i've heard this a MILLION times-

Was doing a quest the other day with some lvl 8 ppl. One of which was an assassin and a Rt/W. After we died, the assassin went nuts on how "OMFG Rt/W ure sucha N00B!! HEAL ME!!!" As if a lvl 8 Rt/W was a healing machine.... he then goes onto say "Ya well I got the game also just a few days ago, and even I know how to heal with my Rt/Mo n00b!".... as if a Rt/W and Rt/Mo have equivalent healing powers... he then proceeded to really show how pathetic he was, and eventually dropped calling us all n00bs... him being the one who ran head first, alone, without a plan into a mob of creatures :P

Back on the factions weekend we were playing the jade quarry mission (Luxon side) and we managed to win. We went back to the hub and there was one of the guys from the opposing team there spamming with typical offensive and 1337ist language saying that we cheated and that he'd pwn us one on one. What I would have given to be able to take up his 1v1 offer, that'd learn him.

Oh great I met the biggest jerk ever last night. I was in Thirsty river trying to get a party to solo them trough the mission ,when some warrior in FoW armor came standing next to me:

Warrior: You can´t solo thirsty
Me: I can
Warrior: GIVE ME YOUR BUILD
Me: no I can´t give it away (since I promised a guildie I wouldn´t)

It´s a shame to see someone in FoW armor acting like a nOOb

I once didn't notice an invite to a group(Because i was half asleep at 4 in the morning)(On a weekend) and the person who invited me started cursing me off... i just put them on my ignore list and told them to curse at me one more time.

Anyway, the 'n00b' insult has gotten to the point where people use it for everything... if you dont' know a command, you're a n00b. If you're poor, you're a n00b. If you like PvE, you're a n00b. If you burnt your breakfast, you're a huge f'ing n00b.

I once was in a group for FoW with a warrior/monk who kept tossing insults to other party members. Not just calling them n00bs, but calling them a lot of other things aswell. It caused one of the female rangers to leave mid-mission straight away. After that he managed to get us killed aswell, and after a total defeat everyone left the group of course. I then quickly joined a new group. But they decided to add the warrior aswell!

I told the group leader that, and I quote "would rather smash my head into a bucket full of nails than team up with that guy". -And I explained how he got my previous group killed, which promptly of course resulted in him yelling "STFU n00b". The party leader was stubborn, and entered FoW before anyone could change their minds.

Of course also the second time the same warrior managed to get us killed, and all but 4 people left. The warrior kept denying that it was his fault, and of course tossed more insults and left. To which the group leader responded: "sigh, guess you were right after all".

"Ah, you live you learn" -I responded.
