The Biggest Jerk You Ever Encountered in GW (no posting names)

Not the biggest but one of the worst ive seen. A healing monk that only used Healing Breeze and Heal Party. He was always out of energy.

Or the annoying wankers that when die immediatly say "rez me!". Personally I leave them dead.

Anybody who says 'rez' at all, ever. Apologies for the following but you will forgive me, for I must vent.

DO YOU THINK I CANNOT SEE YOU THERE?! DON'T YOU THINK THE TEAM WILL RESSURECT YOU WHEN APPROPRIATE?! ON THAT NOTE, WHY ON EARTH WOULD WE LEAVE YOU DEAD HUH? THERE IS NO POINT IN SAYING 'REZ' OR DO YOU SAY IT BECAUSE ITS SOME STUPID INTERNET SUPERIORITY COMPLEX IN WHICH IT MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'VE ORDERED SOMEONE AROUND?!

IN CONCLUSION, I'D LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT SAYING 'REZ' IS AS WORTHLESS AS TELLING THE TEAM TO USE SKILLS OR TO EVEN BRING SKILLS ON A MISSION!

Also, I just realisex this thread is for specific people but I may as well post it now although I'm sure you can all see the relevance.

PS--I could also say that the 'specific jerk' is about 80% of the players of Guild Wars.

I feel the biggest Jerk I've encountered would have to be Brother Tosai. I know we're not supposed to name names , but just WHO does he think he is? Insisting people drink poison is NOT a nice thing to do... I refuse to 'seek him out' with my second character since I might as well not be enemy with the Am Fah! It seems like such a pointless quest - I feel sorry for people I see wandering around with the green fuzz still attached to them.

Brother Tosai - Named, and Shamed.

Seek out Brother Tosai, then when you find him talk to him, refuse to drink, and go tell on him. That'll learn 'em!

I bet 95% of the players just click-click-click the first time through that thing and end up poisoned without realizing there's an alternative. I did the same thing.

Errr, disagree alot with this. The metagame of PvP and PvE is very different.

Wouldnt want a monk to walk in the group of enemies and cast Channeling in PvE, energy management works very different as well. Warriors aren't all out bash-fests, they need to be able to soak up damage as well. Have fun with your e-denial / migraine mesmer in PvE. And numerous other things.

There are always those who have only played pvp, i know a few, they have guild wars a month or two, really got the hang of pvp, but with as highest level char a lvl 12. I cannot believe that he will not seriously piss off pve players when he starts reaching the high-end part of the game..... as we all have done in the past

Yep - I would indeed be in that 95%! I learnt my lesson now, my baby mesmer will not be making the same mistake...

You believe you can suck at PvP yet be the best at PvE. I do not, you can argue all you want, but I will never change my mind. It's to do with what you believe, not with what's true. Personally every ranked person rocked in PvE that ive seen and People with protector of Tyria/Cantha have ruled in PvP.

He's an even BIGGER jerk when you drink from the chalice, ive done it before just to see what it was like. You gain permanent -2 degen until the end of the quest, at the end of which he unleashes a horde of afflicted am fah on you in the Undercity.

This one just happened today, I was doing Nahpui Quarter for the second time (counting the first attempt with henchmen). I get this decent group, we have this necro who continually tells us what to do like he knows everything, and there's the big thing, HE'S A MM IN NAHPUI QUARTER!!! Anyone bringing an MM to nahpui quarter can't know everything, as MM's are very bad for nahpui, he could only keep an average of one minion up at once.

Then he dies, and the monk is blamed for it. It's pathetic, he dies as well as we do, and he blames us? Unfair, so I finally tell him to shut up, and then we get into this huge fight until our group finally fails.

Then he annoyingly pm's me, until i start swearing at him and muting him.

P.S. Choob, lmao, when i used to play runescape, people would fight me and say "let me win ch00b" it was halarious.

In this story, i am the jerk, but it is halarious. I decided to vent my anger from a real life event. So I formed a group for Dragon's Lair, equipped only the skills frenzy, healsig, mending, and sprint. I sprint to the Facet, then take off all armor and spam frenzy and healsig while calling every single one of them. Then i spam REZ!!!! to everyoen in the party and they got really annoyed, suprisingly no one quit. I continued to do this up until glint. I loved it.

Ive made 1 think clear spammers dont come to me anymore.
A little while ago in Kaineng dis 1 a guy spammed the whole world around.
So what did i do :

Hey please spam me if u want to.
And what did he do he spammed me. (Am i crazy or aint they reading,some1 asking to be spammed weird.)
So i didnt care if he spammed me normal life did go on in kaineng.
But he spammed me a 10 min, so i said come on cant u do better .
15min later
Im getting bored give me more spamming ....
What did he say to me : sry got a guild meeting...
Weirdo's best feelings dont try it or u will be doomed.:P

I didnt care at all aslong others dont have trouble whit spammers on local chat....

Haa Haa - Genius - If only Mesmers could interrupt spammers in towns...there would be so many annoyed people in the world!

Well, yes, you could have a point... Maybe ANet should include some "bonus" Mesmer skills, in Nightfall, for such a problem...

I'm thinking perhaps the following build:

Reverse Spam - for 4...6 seconds the next time the spammer spams, the same message gets sent back to him via whisper.
Pocket Holes - For 5 seconds target spammer suffers 3...10 gold degeneration. Hex Spell
Alchemy {Elite} - Steal 10...20 gold from target spammer, if spammer was spamming, spammer is knocked down and you gain a further 20 gold.
Close Communication - For 2...8 seconds, whenever target spammer spams, the message is interrupted and does not appear in chat screen.
Carrier Pigeon - For 5 seconds all messages from spammer are sent to an alternative, random district.
Dissipate - The next time target spammer spams, the spam is interrupted, and nearby players steal 1...6 gold from target spammer.
Saboteur - This spell does nothing for 5 seconds, after which, the spammer's connection lags for 5...10 seconds and spammer is knocked over. Hex Spell
Banish - Banish target spammer to an alternative, random district for 8...20 seconds

I usually stop spamers with my infamous WTK ( Wanting To Kill ) people spamming Buy/Sell offers

Two recent examples, both when offering a req9 perfectly modded Furious Longsword for sale (not spamming )

Jerk on whisp "How much"
Me "Around 100k"
Jerk "Let me see"

I open trade window

Jerk "That sword sux you n00b"
Me "Thank you for your considered opinion, now bugger off"

Jerk added to ignore

Second was a scammer

Went much the same as above, but he accepted the 100k without hestiation, but offered in trade a green and 100k (I think it was Millefauns staff) and asked whether I wanted it or the 100k.

I said cash, he resubmitted the trade screen, but with 100g. Like I was really going to fall for that

Jerk/scammer on ignore.

Btw, if anyone wants to know the name of the scammer, happy to provide in game...

Biggest jerk I've encountered? I'd use that in plural.

All the people that PM me when I'm selling stuff, other than the ones who actually buy. Sure they don't do it intentionally, but surely it takes an effort to be that stupid. Why do they bother?

I was in beacons getting a free droks run from a fellow guildie (this was two guilds back) and he was recruiting for the free run since there was only two of us. Well we get a full party but end up with 5 because someone was being disruptive. Saying "YOU'LL PROBABLY DIE INSTANTLY HEMO LOL!" (Hemotep being me) and "THIS RUN IS EZ" And crap. I hate that mess.

I couldn't give his username if I tried, i don't remember it. I did do a 300g run from yaks to borlis and the guy abandoned it. I added him so I'll be hunting him down . If only he'll come online...

Oh! I really didn't know that there is a Movie NPC in Tyria...and the game is not all about minions, Okaaaay?

I so LUV these guys they always make me laugh so much...of course If I'm not in a mission with them..then it's pretty bad..and it's often better zone back to the mission outpost ASAP.

On skipping cinematics:

Indeed. It might be the first time the person has gotten to this cinematic.

Now, I'd have no problem with skipping a cinematic if someone asked the team to (politely) AND gave a valid reason. Telling everyone to skip it without saying how this will benefit the team probably won't get you far.

Let's see, i have a couple of jerk tales, one is a jerk from ingame, another is a jerk from the forums.
Jerk story 1:
I had bid something like 5k on a gold perfect smiting rod on the Guild wars Guru auctions. I met the guy ingame at lions arch and the trading went something like this:
Me: so you got my rod?
Jerk: yeah here you go
*starts a trade, but instead of giving me the rod, gives me some celestial crap which i didn't want*
Me: *cancels trade* I'm looking for my smiting rod i ordered for 5k, can you give me it please?
Jerk: Ok *does the same thing, stupid celestial stuff*
*this goes on for some time*
Me: I want my smiting rod
*this time offers smiting rod and i offer my 5k, but when i click accept he almost instantly cancels*
Jerk: oh sorry, i'm having problems (yeah freaking right) can we try again?
Me: Ok (at this time i genuinely believed it was probably an error, so i decided to give him another chance)
*tries again, jerk does same thing. this again goes on for some time.*
Me: fine, i won't buy it, you can keep your stupid rod *I head off to the xunlai agents to put back my cash*
Jerk: No wait, i think i got it fixed this time (like i'd believe him)
Me: No way, you're gonna screw around with me again, forget it.
Jerk: Please
Me: NO
Jerk: Pleease
*I go back to jerk and try once more, but again he does the same thing*
Me: Fine, screw you, i don't need your stupid rod, i already have one *i put him on ignore, and gloat as he haplessly tries to talk to me before I head back to the xunlai agents to put back the 5k he wanted to scam me out of*

I just recently made a rant on the forums, and i got this as one of my replies:
I replied, telling him that he was off topic, and that my thread was not "flame the guy cause he's furry". That shut him up.

I have met lots of jerks - mainly in the RA.

Jerk(warrior): You call. (the other 2 was quiet)
Me: ok.
the fight raged on... jerk tries to do blackout and got raped.

Wow, that jerk has a couple of issues to sort out.

I actually tried to sell someone something once...put the item up, he put the money up and accepted, and when I tried to click accept it would cancel the trade. :/

Anyway for a jerkish story..

I went into TA for the first time in a long time, and get random invited immediatedly (yes I know that doesn't usually turn out well) and we go in..
I see the a/mo use mending and Retribution, and go figure the first team is made up of iQ and Vibe members. :/

We all basically get owned in seconds, and naturally its my fault. Im bad I know, but we didn't have a chance anyway.

In general though, the majority of chestrunners are jerks.
1. those that demand res but don't use their own
2. People who drop items at a chest and trick people into opening them. (I stopped falling for that a while ago, but a lot of people still do.
3. Typically I include people who stand around waiting for someone else to open the chest jerks, but I'm usually included in that group as well.

As much as I want to name him, I won't as you asked .

I was in Altrumm Ruins as my necro to do the mission for a bit of extra faction, and it didnt take long to get a team together. We were all ready to go and when this was clarified the leader started the mission. "Fine, this is goin ok so far, everyone knows what theyre doin" I thought. In the minute or so you get before the real mission starts we decided we were goin to go left, from where we were facing, not through the portal. One of our monks, went straight to the portal, Murphy's Law... I asked him "Come out of the port, we're not goin that way", and "who made you the leader?" was the reply.
"I'm not, I'm only asking that you step out of the portal because we've decided we're not goin that way"
"stfu noob"
*Other party member* "Out of the port please*
(Of course, no reply to that person, cos in his mind I started what must have been in his mind a major argument)
The mission starts, he vanishes thru the portal, so we're down to one monk. Someone aggros another group by accident, and as a result I'm the first to die .
"roflmfao u noob"
"If you wouldn't have went through the teleporter like I ASKED you not to, that wouldn't have happened..."
"stfu u mug" (mug became his favourite insult after this)
"Look, just come back through the port and res me, and get this fight over with"
"I looked at your guild's rank, roflmfao!!!" (The guild I was in at the time was in at the time was made by me and a couple of real life friends so that we could be free of GvG hassles, and so we could do what we wanted and help each other out, so we didn't care about our rank etc.)
"That's got nothing to do with this, just port back through"
"stfu u mug, who made you the leader? rofl u died"
After our team eventually got porked because he could only stay where he was and hurl pee weak insults we ended up back in town, where he continued his BS, and the leader of the group didnt hesitate to boot him out of the party.

I don't get why people like this don't see when it's plainly obvious it's their fault somethin like this happens. They all have IQ's of room temperature or somethin... This story's short and to the point, but there's lots more to it, and plenty of sweary words flyin around, he even bet me 200k that I wouldn't say what I said to his face in real life as a totally serious offer, but no one would need to do that to tell him he's a (insert bad words here) .
