The Biggest Jerk You Ever Encountered in GW (no posting names)

Ha, n00bs who think they no more than you, there always funny. Anyway, was doing a mission a while back in Cantha. I forget which one. I had switched from the prophecies campaogn to Cantha in the crystal desert, i hadnt played GW in a while and Factions brought me back. So anyway, I am doing this mission, forget which, and was LFPing. I got into a group and the leader said 'Are you SS?' I hadnt got to southern shiverpeaks so i didnt know what that was, so i asked 'What is SS? Im MM' and he said 'OMGn00b, you're so kicked'. I of course curious asked 'what is SS?' and he said 'STFU u n00b, I dont talk to n00bs'. So i got kickd. But also i met a very nice person that day, dont know them or anything, but they just whispered me 'sorry for kicking you, ss is spiteful spirit, it's an elite in the Shiverpeaks'. So, i met a jerk and a nice person that day, so it balances out, karma like.

hey not my fault, I offerd help cause all she does is spam how she hates lag (though its not lag, its obvious her pc cant handle the graphics), and then she yelld at me. I think every day is her time of the month

Well it comes down to two, my most recent is when im 4 man farming grove. We are doing ok, except for the warrior. We can kill anything because he pulls so many groups. I was the healer. Wehn we go to the scar eater, the pulls 3 oni, and 3 group including the scar eater group. He dies instantly and says I suck at healing. Then when i repeditly tell him that it was his fault that he pulled so many groups, he laughs and says i suck, and that it is easy to heal. He goes on to say he is the best tank in Guild wars. I start laughing. And leave, he then whispers me "Then why you we pull all of the groups" when HE did. Then he goes on to say he has won Hoh xxx about of times(I forgot how many). I laugh and put him on my ignore list. My VERY LONG ingore list.
Another person thats a noob, and jerk, is this assasin at unwaking waters. He join our group which already has an assasin. So I tell the leader to get a nuker instead. But then the assasin says "Im a nuker"!!! I say your not a nuker, your dont even have an ele secondary. He goes on to say "Ever heared of channeling magic". I tell him, your primary porfesion is almost always what you are. He says i suck at the game and that I am insignificant to the group (I am the tank). He says all I do is take damage and be stupid, and that without warriors this game would be better. I tell the leader to kick him. But he enters the mission, 3 min into the mission he picks uo the rez orb, drops it(we are all alive) and then runs to a kuvang to attack and dies. I said I told you so, and he curses at me like crazy and leaves. He was a laugh.

I find it funny how some people will do anything to annoy someone and make money unfairly. A few days ago, someone messaged me saying I scammed them out of a Kanaxai's Edge saying I could duplicate it. I said no I didnt. He said it was no his ranger. Now, I know I didnt scam anyone out of anything, and I have never even owned a Kanaxai's edge, so I politely say "I am sorry, but you must have the wrongperson". Well...here comes the swear words. Anyway, after some ignoring, he said he was reporting me and told me to go die. I asked him if he had proof, he said he had screens. I asked him if he could please show me these screenshots. No answer. Ask again... "Player The Jerk is ignoring you". Its pretty funny. Either way, I scrolled up in chat, grabbed a couple of screens of his expletives and reported him. I would have added him to my ignore list...but its full...

I can't agree with this. I think, if asked, you should say you are smiting, but if nobody asks, well, you are under no obligation to tell them. You don't have some responsibility to be a specific build. Good groups will find out what they have in their team, especially Necros and Monks. When I am in a PUG, I always ask the monk if they are healing, usually to distinguish between boon prot and healing, but if they are smiting, we should find out then, instead of after starting the mission.

I was in a group to go from Thunderhead Keep to the copperhammer mines.

Got two people in the group, other than me, plus henchies.

we cleared our way to this one point, and if you've done the run, you know that this is an easy spot to miss, especially if you've never done the run before. But it's close to the exit, and I figured I could run the rest of the way if I had to.

Guy A goes afk.
Guy B is starting to act like a jerk, claiming he knows the "right way" to go, and heads south.

I notice that the henchmen do not approve of his plan, and are following me.

I head out to copperhammer mines, with henchmen in tow, and Guy B gets super-pissed. I came very close to making it all the way there (but then, THAT would have shut him UP! *rolleyes* ), but no, instead, he blames me for the loss of the henchmen and demands that I leave. I refuse, and say : "I'm gonna go get something to drink, enjoy trying to find the exit without me."

After we get back in town, he continues to insult me, but does so in local chat, where the entire zone can hear him. So I scroll back up, take a few screenies, and do what I do to any jerk who deserves it.

I then loaded up on henchmen and do the run myself. Still, it was rather remarkable to find someone else who needed a run to a location I needed to get to. Oftentimes, there's only one person in the mission who is actually trying to get it done. Everyone else is farming.

Keep in mind though, that pretty much the only way to level a paladin is by using autoattack. 90% of the time, a paladin is going to forget that he's in a group, because leveling in that game is so mindlessly boring and repetitive.

I remeber way back when, i was a healer in a farm group somewhere in the shiverpeaks(forget exactly where >.<). we were doing pretty well.. we had aggro a small group of shiverpeak whoever spellcasters with a healing boss. no one went after the boss. for some reason the tank decided to run PAST the 1st mob, and aggrod ANOTHER mob. and in the other mob.. i think a boss with SS. not sure. well, we actually lasted about 15 minutes before the tank got impatient, called everyone a noob, and left.

suffice to say, i didnt try farming for a while after that.

i think those kind of persons dont know what they r talking about themselves! they just heard something somewhere and repeating it for u!
once i was in HA as my monk (when dual smite was a new build) and i met a jerk

if he really didnt have time to answer, he could just say that, but why insulting me?

I specifcally typed "Smiter Monk LFG" I don't know how much clearer I could have made that.

You could have said "SMITER Monk who has a boat-load of SMITING SKILLS and NO healing skills so that this SMITING build of mine works well against enemies, especially since I've got my SMITING PRAYERS attribute maxed out but won't heal for anything LFG."

I just had a halarious experiance with the typical Mending W/Mo today ni the Random Arenas.

At this, I ignore him, hopefully convincing him to lose his mending.

ANOTHER randoms arena w/mo, and this was the match RIGHT AFTER.

First post in here as I don't meet many "jerks", but yesterday was different:

I decided to go back to tyria and do some Oro / FA runs in Sorrow's Furnace, so I travel to War Camp and saw this: "FA Team LF Bonder 5/6". I decided to join them. 6 man team, weird but I don't mind. The team looked good, 1 W/Me, a N/Me , a N/Mo (The Jerk), E/Me a healer and me, as the bonder. Once we got outside things got crazy after the healer took the quest guys with him, blackpowder? (I forgot the names), as you need them to gain entrance to the furnace, but the jerk thought otherwise:

I would like to point out however late. Kitty does talk about lag a lot yes, but she has always made it clear that the fault is in her system. She has stated that numerous times, she has to play a bit different that the rest of us because of that lag. I don't know why in the world her saying that the path does not exist for her means you have to yell at her.

I was helping out a guildie to do the Vizunah Square mission, which really needs to be fixed, cause having it automatically fail due to the henchie team that you cannot interact with is stupid.

*ahem*

Anyway, I was using my MM, maxed of course with Flesh Golem. We needed a monk, and when the monk saw my invite she responded with:

"I'm not joining a team with level 15s in it, that's way too low for this!"

....this Monk, is level 14. Hello Pot! Come in, Pot! This is kettle, you are BLACK! I though that was more funny than anything... (and I have screenshots of the amusing event...)

Another involved me as my Assassin taking out 8 Touch Rangers within 3 minutes of the game starting and pointing out how lousy they are... now unfortunely, I had a really lousy team this match (an AB game), half of which quit out early, so we lost pretty bad. Of course, this Touch Ranger that I was not only killing, but slaughering repeatedly says how he "wrote down my entire build" and was going to make it a "guildwiki showcase." A showcase of what? What totally kicked his ass? Then he goes on saying how my build is lame cause I just "copy all other assassins in AB" (despite that I was one of the first persons to use the basic concept of horns-spider-twisting, though I use a lot of different skills to go along with it than are normally used)... this coming from the master of gimmicky, a Touch Ranger. And hey, at least my build can kick ass while his got creamed by mine.

Then, after the match he whispers me with a stuipdly presumptious question about if my build is so good, why did my team lose so bad (cause you know, I can single-handedly make up for 11 other people's slack), then instantly puts me on ignore...

It seems that always happens whenever someone tries to start some kind of debate with me on there... cause I give them a beating right off and so they cower and thow some random insult and stick me on ignore - cowards.

really! i dont see whats wrong with usng mending in RA as a non-stance warrior...
they dont need much energy, and they need self healing in RA. mending really helps with conditions.
and there isnt always a mesmer around to abuse your mending.

i bet some ppl who calling mending warriors noob dont have any reason for it! they just heard something! mending is really noob in HA or team arena cuz u have a monk and its his job to heal u, so u can use your slot for another skill.
but in RA i dont see any problem with it.
well an stance or shock warrior is way better than mending war, but mending in RA doesnt look noob.

but healing hands, its really noob if a warrior use it in any place i think just a waste of elite slot.

PS: if u think im wrong pls correct me and tell me why a mending warrior in RA is noob, would be glad to know that

Why do people insist on bringing families into the arguements which unfortunately happen?
My ss was in TOA yesterday & I saw a guy I had been in a party with the day before whilst trying to do the Arbourstone Mission.
(he or she was one of the inevitable loud mouths trying to run the party , though i was the leader :O and gues what ? yep he or she left half way through

Anyway, as I said, I saw them in TOA the next day (yesterday) & i prolly shouldn't have but seeing as how they wasted my time, I posted in local that he was a leaver.

omg the come back was just typical of a schoolkid (sorry if you are a schoolkid - im sure theres a lot of nice ones out there)

So anyways, he tells me firstly that he doesnt have factions O.o & that I am a so an so (no he said somthing different but...:P)

then he started calling my mum names & saying stuff he shoulnd't have. This of course enraged me & yeah i let off 1 or 2 things too. One of things I said was if he has a problem with me, then he should say it to me & leave family out of it but no he kept going on & on until he got fed up with my *u must be a little school girl* remarks

However the point im making is that there is really no need to use family insults against people in game of in any walk of life.
For me, the people that do this have very serious mental health problems & should be placed on an island specifically for people like that. Maybe throw in a load of crocs & sharks for good measure so they can't leave :O

My 50 cents worth

There are some quests you need for a boss with a certain green to even spawn. A jerk and stupid at the same time.

Usually, AFKers at Fort Aspenwood doesn't bother me much, as sometimes the other team will have them as well (or leavers), which then balances out the teams again.

However, last night in Aspenwood (Kurzick side), this leech thought it was a cool thing to tell us about it. It's annoying when they do it, but even more so when they 'brag' about it.



Not sure if the others knew what was going on, but throughout the match, they were asking him to help us fight back the Luxons.

And yes, I was being rude, as it wasn't my first encounter with him.

He's a jerk, but it made me laugh.

I haven't been on this thread in a while but had the displeasure of being hassled by the know it all type while I was trying to sell a green (Totem Axe). Maybe my opinion alone isn't enough, but Guildwiki seems to think it's good for 55 monks:

Basically, the guy was hassling me, claiming I was a noob for calling it a weapon perfect for a 55 monk. I politely disagreed but he kept at it. He wanted me to prove I wasn't a noob by showing him how much money I had.

Now, I've played 1300 hours or so, and I actually have over 100k, but most of my money is tied up in things like items, armor I've bought, candy canes and also spread out across all my PvE characters. I did sink to his level at this point by saying that I didn't feel the need to respond to a twelve year old.

So, the guy spams me with requests to trade and party invites. I'm trying to sell the axe and log off for the night (and don't wnt to waste time with him) so after repeated requests that he go away and stop wasting my time, I finally threaten to report him. He keeps at it a bit longer, but eventually goes away after saying he's "trying to help me".

Right. Big help. Welcome to the ignore list.

well ppl should just stop random invites of monks. once a group invited me and i just thought.."hey im here and bored with nothing better to do so why not just help them?". (atm i was set for 55ing and had just traveled to the mission) i join and they start right off.

after a while they say hey why arent you healing us? and i tell them i said i wasnt rdy oim set for 55 atm....and they all call me noob and what not..

but after all it is their fault.

Random invites are cool. It gives me time to see what the party consists off. I hate to leave a party, because the leader just invited henchies, so I check first.

OK, first: To Taankai Temple (or however you spell it). Jerk-in-question was a guy who joined my party and told me to take another player along, whom I suspect was his girlfriend *forms heart*.

Then this transpired. I didn't screenshot any of it, so I shall salvage it from my memory.

Me: Ever heard of the 'party' bar? Because it's telling me that you're a monk.

Her boyfriend takes over the party and orders me to invite. Then we set out. The pair are determined that we don't kill anyone. Like, that's half the FUN of this game?

Anyway, I start attacking a bunch of Jade Brotherhood, and ...

Long story short: they give up trying to stop us from knocking heads together.

They should, yes...but I've let playing as a monk go to my head, and when I go anywhere and don't get lots of random invites Im almost insulted. Yeah, definately getting to my head. Im against random invites, but I just don't care anymore, and the groups are as good anyway. I just make sure Im ready for whatever Im doing beforehand.

Anyway..

Ive been doing AB all day today..starting as a Dom Mes, then I tried the Air Ele Build in the templates..first time ever usign an ele.

An assassin is hassling me the entire time during a match, saying things like, "OMG ANET IS SO STUPID FOR HAVING THE NOOB FLASHBOT" or something..he kills me once and it continues: "LOL OWNED YOU NOOB FLASHBOT". He told me he was having a bad day. 'Course, that was also the last time he killed me.

umm KGYU..... nuff said, i guess being racist is cool these days.. sigh

If the assassin said that in Local Chat then you should of done what your avatar did.

If it was whispers, then I suggest you to always leave your status on Offline or Do Not Disturb while Alliance Battling.

Yeah, it was my fault for leaving Local on after getting the group together. He wasn't really a jerk anyway, just a Sin having a long day.

Better to be prepared than not, isn't that correct?

ya this guy just yelled at us the whole time we were doing thk while he sat with the dwarf guy. we finished the mission and thanks to the europe server shut down thing he got booted from the game so he didnt finish it

kk. i was playing AB a few days back in a toucher group with a bunch of guildies. and.. alliancies.. or whatever.

anyway, *inster name of mesmer here :P* with diversion starts spamming 'noob touchies get a real build.' i mean, he said that every 4 seconds. sadly though, his team pwned ours, mainly because of his good teamates. im fairly certain he only had 3 spells and a rez >.<.

ok, we lose. we start another AB because we've had a 7 game winning streak up until then. unfortunatly, the same mesmer comes back.. spamming again. RAWR @ YOU ANNOYING MESMER.

however.. we did pwn his entire group 500 to 130. and i did get the satisfaction of owning him twice personally. ^^
