I have two...auction jerks. (see my feed back - same name)

One, won an auction for Shiro's sword. He instantly starts spamming me in PM.
I ask him to wait as I was in the midst of a FoW run with my guildies.
Well he spammed me every 5 minutes for the duration.
When I get out, I ask to meet him and he goes "I changed my mind."
To top it off, he leaves me a negative feedback to boot.

Second one...I crafted a Icy Katana of Enchanting.
5K 15^50 plus materials and mods.
It's usefulness expired, so I posted it - in the collectors category, with a picture, in which the description words we clearly BLUE.

I go to complete the trade and the guy starts flamming.

Jerk - "Your trying to scam me"
Me - "???"
Jerk - "You advertised it as a gold item"
Me - "No, I even had listed in the collectors category"
Jerk - "Noob Scammer"
Me - "The picture clearly shows blue letters"
Jerk - "It's too small, noob scammer, take better pictures"
Me - "w/e"
Jerk - "GENE IS A NOOB SCAMMER!!!" (on the local channel)

He too left me a negative feedback.

i have a funny jerk story, i was in shing jea and i was helping people for free on quests and this guy go'es "u WILL run me to kaining center" im a necro and not a runner so i said "Soz dude thats impossable u have to do the quests" then i got a barrage of wispers saying "RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing run me u n00bs asshole" "dont ignore me u dickhead n00b" and other stuff i shouldent post, funy though because i just started saying "ow little boy needs his nap time" and "little baby n00b needs to go home soon" man that got him angry and now he is a part of my ever growing bitch list/Ignore lost

Wow, last time I read this thread it had 12 pages. Let me see if I can remember one of my more memorable instances...

Helping a new guildie get a bonus in Kryta region (can't recall exactly what mission but it's inconsequential) and it just so happened that there were 5 of us there counting this new member. All of us level 20s who had done the mission/bonus many, many, many times and just there to help out the new guy and hopefully get it done a bit faster.

We decide to pick up a lower level player just for the hell of it. We add this low level warrior who immediately says:

Jerk: OMG KICK A @#$%ing NECRO YOU NOOBS!
Me: Or, we could kick your rude @ss.
(party leader, the new guy, kicks him)
Jerk(Whisper): YOU NOOBS WILL NEVER FINISH THIS MISSION!!!!!
Jerk(Local): (all of our names) ARE STUPID NOOBS! DON'T PARTY WITH THEM THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING! THEY WILL KICK YOU FOR NO REASON!
Random Person: Please shut up, it's obvious that they know what they're doing. Afterall, they kicked you didn't they?

Yesterday in Dragons Throat

I was with my fem Ele and a friend.Then that fem Ass approaches gives a couple of rounds around me and says

"I'm in love of you" a bit later . .. "Are you a gilr"? ..... "I'm sure you are" .. "Do you have a boyfriend?" .....

After 5 mins of harassing (ok the boy was a poor sod) leaves us alone.

Just meet a stupid leech in Thannakai. I wanted to do masters reward and found a nice group. I was playing healingritu, and we had another monk. Right from the beginning I noticed that the monk was staying really behind, just at the edge of the minimap. So I asked him what he was doing.

One time I got a crystalline sword in sf but it was hard to sell cause it didn't have a natural dmg mod and no one wanted the damn thing. After a long stint in LA; someone finally offers 100k and I readily accept.

She opens the trade dialogue; I put in the sword she puts in the plat, I hit accept.... trade window closes.

She opens trade again; we both put in the goods, I hit accept.... trade window closes.

me: what exactly are you doing?
her: it's what your doing that's confusing me
me: ..... you're closing the trade window
her: no, everytime I hit accept it closes, must be you
her: (3x really fast) "let's try hitting the button really fast OK!!!"
(at this point it's readily apparent that she's up to something)

I put in the sword, lo and behold: she puts in gold!
At this point I don't even say anything; just gave her a blank stare.
She cancels only to re-open and offer gold instead of plat several times
and I don't accept nor say a word.
Finally she says "FINE, nvm!" and storms off (as though taking an attitude with me for not falling for the retarded scam and ruining HER day).
As she walks away I think to myself that scamming a crapload of people is probably how she paid for that fow armor.


*coincidentily I run into her again 10 minutes later in Droks trying to scam some poor sap; but I dont' say anything, just watch from the side lines. After they exchange coments on local chat he obviously didn't fall for it either.


It's not like there was any chance I could have possibly fallen for the scam.
It's just that once you finally find a buyer for some thing you get that sense of relief that it's finally done with and you can go do something else. Then when you realize it's a scam; the realization that you'll probably be trying to sell the stupid thing for a couple more days slaps you in the face.

I seem to remember an absolute asshat on the Divinity Coast Mission (A warrior- naturally!) who was ordering the entire party around and threatening to leave if we didnt do the bonus, calling us all assholes. What was brilliant is that me and my guild mate (playing in the next room at the uni accomodation) constituted the healing end of the party, and both decided to stop healing him. When he died, the party just ignored him and carried on with the mission until he left.

That scam still works, as long as you do it a lot. Maybe 1 out of 30 falls for it (Dunno about that statistic. It's just a wild guess, but it must be working since people are trying that one a lot). Go to Kaineng city and simply respond to every trader, especially the ones who spam in local chat, and eventually a sucker will fall for it.

OK, after a long long time of playing this game, I had finally accumulated enough wealth to finish off my full FoW. Woopee, I thought and once we got favor I warped into toa.

People may say I am at fault, for not getting guildies to go with me on forgemaster, but I had no Guild at the time (thats another jerk story for another time) and I went to see if I could get a group.

Ok, so whatever I'm playing war here, tank as people may call it, and I get into a group which is supposably "pro". OK, im thinking well I haven't really been in these pro groups yet, might as well see what they are about.

Ok, so we go in, and everything I guess is supposably good. We pass the first part fairly easily, but I notice some anger between the nuker and the SS. In the beggining I can't imagine why, until I notice that the nuker is holding a sword and a shield. I go "Wtf, nuker you do you have melee weps?"

"Cause mofo nub, you sux at fighting and can't pwnt no1 and jsut like to sux everywhere here!!" he replies.

And then, intentional or not, the ele aggroes both of the patrols near the forge, converging them all at once. Luckily, me and the SS noticed this right before he did it, and ran away to the little cracks in the side of the cave. Everyone else of course stood dumbfounded, and all had died except me and the SS. Well, of course the healer in anger loggs out, and then everyone else is about to quite. We had two tanks in that party, so the other tank left as well. Ok, so by now I get kind of aggravated, but its not a problem, because I brought rebirth.

"Guys, dont logg plz I have rebirth, I can save us." I say.

"yOU NOOBB!" the ele yells at me," ZOmg, what kind of tank are u!?!? Are u a monk> u dont bring rez u RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE!"

Knowing that very bad reprecussions would occur if I responed, I ignore the ele and rez the remaining people. Somehow we make it all the way to the spider cave, the last particular quest before the forgemaster is unlocked(officially).

Ok, thinking that with 6 people this task shouldn't be too difficult, we go into the area. Everything is good, untill i notice the ele again aggroing all 3 patrols which are around the entrance of the cave, and bringing them into the mouth of the cave, where the spiders came out as well. Again, I go in the back because I saw what will happen.

"Fight NUB, you SHiating mOfo tank noob!" He yells again. At this point, everyone has left from rage and all that is left is me, the SS, the bonder and that guy.

"Dam it," I think to myeself."This idiot is gonna mess up this whole hour and a half we spent trying to get this armor." Eventually though, we did complete the mission, and I got my armor. I don't really know how 3 people did it, and really without a healer as well, but in the end we did.

Morale of the story? Well, its quite simple actually.

maybe this isn't the big deal, but sometimes there are ppl who make a dumbass of themselves

yesterday america got the favor earlier so i thought that it was a good time to try Racthoh's spider farming build in fow, so i go and look to join a fow chest run goup, since it would be the cheapest way to learn. Then there's this guy spamming that he's forming a chest run group and i join them, as usual when i join, i go to the party leader and pay the 125g, he opens the trade then cancels, and he tells me that he will ask for the money later.

We all pay, and the run starts, everybody runs, everything is fine, i take the way to get to the spiders and everybody else get to the run, then i see the party leader going all the way back to where i was and he starts killing the dryders, after he killed it, i said that i was trying to learn the run, and asked him if i could stay to watch, he just /shoo me and said that a "2 man = no good drops", and he kept /shoo me, i could have been a bigger jerk than him, and stay close to him just to screw his run, but it wasnt worth the time, so i just mapped out and got a in another chest run group.

Really i hate it when there are people that thinks they're too leet to help other people, maybe it was true, that he could have lost a shard or two, but i was willing to give all my drops as long as i could watch and learn.

My story relates to myself and two alliance members I was running a farm build with. Untested mind you, so not suprising someone would die... I was playing the monk, one warrior and one necro for my buddies.

*Warrior gets surrounded by onis*

Warrior: Geeze Michel, only reason I died is you couldnt be bothered to heal me.

I take jokes, but this was a serious argument on his part. After he died again and raised the same argument of "Blame the noob monk", I decided to give him what he deserved after much snickering with my Necro guildie on TS.

I love getting revenge on those sorts of people. Needless to say the Necro also thought he deserved it. Never spoke to Warrior again.

K then. Me and a guildie go out to do lost treasure. We let another guy join and got a hench and set off. It was pretty silent and went normally but then the shit hit the fan.

Person: Can i hve tht axe???
Me: You want that axe? Yeah sure. *Drops crude axe which does 3-6 damage*
Person: LOLOLOL I DIDNT THNK THTD WRK U JST GT SCAMD LOLOL NUB.*leaves*

Me and my friend proceeded to laugh our asses off, but unfortuneately without him we somehow lost, as he was our monk and raitahn sucked for tanking.

I was helpin a guildy on iron mines and heres what happened:

I've had pretty good experiences so far, but for a few minor cases...I have two to post, but I'll post the shorter one now...<lazy>. D:

I was doing Dragon's Lair, the very first facet (-3 Health Degeneration), and I was spamming Heal Party to keep everyone alive. We had made sure at the start that our Necromancer had Blood Ritual, and would use it on the monks to help with 15 Energy Cost of Heal Party. So I was spamming away (with little help from the other lazy monk. x.x) and my energy hit 0. I used the "I have such and such energy!" thing, and upon nothing happening, I repeated it several times. The Necromancer was losing health fast in the fight, and I had no energy to heal him, since he wasn't helping me out with Blood Ritual, and it is hard enough just countering the degeneration. After a while, the Necromancer died and shouted "WTF KUNA U SUPPOSED TO HEAL!" I replied that he should have used Blood Ritual on me, because I didn't have enough energy to keep everyone alive, and he said "I RUN OUT OF ENERGY NOOB!"

...Irony? D:

Yeah that was some time ago, honestly I think it hit 12 pages 2 days after the thread was started.

And to all the monks that love making the idiot warrior suffer, I have two words that I know you'll agree with...

the biggest jerk ive ever come accross was in RA. he was a total wammo hater. i was playing wammo, but i wasent using any monk skills (i picked the pre built for HH since i dont have it unlocked on the off chance i might want to use it) he was monking and had such an eliteist atitude tword me. they already have one or two wins he kept saying that i wouldnt get a glad point and bitching. on the his 9th win i got Pmed by the ther two members of the group asking if we i wanted to leave him alone in their tenth match. i gladly accpeted. ahh revenge is so sweet.

In short, the monk that was keeping them alive was an elitist...and he left because he wanted to be a jerk back...so in turn, he was the jerk for leaving, and the monk was just an elitist :/

So im at Ice Caves of Sorrow, doing the mission and the bonus. Unfortunately no one is on so I have to resort to the dreaded PUG with henchman healers. As we get to the triple catapult at the start of the mission, I start taking down the heretics. Of course Alesia and Lina and their genious AI start loading me with enchantments and the 4 summit heretics guarding the catapults start shattering them off me. I took about 80-100 dmg on each shatter, loading me with over 300 dmg. Of course I get waxed and me and the monk are having a conversation on what happened. So this asshat jumps into the convo and starts talking me down like I was a noob for dying, even though the AI and bad decision making on part of the henchies was the real reason. Afterwards this same person badgers me afterwards about it. I already dealt with alot of BS in alliance battles and I really wasn't up for taking uneeded shit. I apologized to the party leader and left the group. This same asshole has the nerve to whisper me and talk trash for leaving, I promptly ignore him. Unfortunatly, although I hate to admit it these bad PUG experiences are reoccuring more and more frequently. When I'm forced into playing a PUG I always have to fear for the worst. This is a horrible prognosis on the state of the community. To new players the only advice I can give is to find and join a very large and well structured guild (Preferrably one that only accepts older and more mature players). Dealing with the subpar players and immature little craps that gravitate towards PUGs will begin to ruin the experience for you. I'm not saying all PUGs are bad, but I will say that the majority of them will be.

Also on a closing note, the afore mentioned Asshat was playing a R/N toucher in PVE and obviously need to be introduced to hooked on phonics. I'm determining him to be one of those 12-14 year old little craps. No offense, but I really hate little kid players.

Just encountered a FULL GUILD of jerks.

I was in shing jea when it all started, I recently quit a guild for having inappropriate talk over Alliance Chat, and someone advertises a decent looking one, i accept an invitation after pming him. Turns out they were about to go to FoW, I decide to monk for them.

It took a very long tiem to make this group out of fully alliance members and friends of alliance members. The only one I had a problem with was the warrior.

Everyone from my guild said he was good, but in reality, he stunk. He had 15k armor, most likely bought for him by someone else. All through the first part, fighting the shadow beasts, he refused to consult anyone before agroing groups, and just spammed ripostes and glads def in the middle of groups, even when thye were all caster groups. I asked him to talk to me before agroing the Shadow Beasts. The conversation went as follows:

Me: Please stop agroing the groups without asking me.
Him: Hush.
Me: You hush, riposte and glads def spamming doesnt help our group at all, neither does you agroing everything. I am the monk who's keeping you alive, show some respect and actually talk before you agro.
Him: Monks that thing too highly of themselves FTW.
Me: I don't have to heal you you know.

Our other monk had a connection problem at this point, leaving me the only monk. He agros again, taking massive amounts of dmg, but miraculously i was able to keep him alive.

Me: Did you really think i was going to let you die?
Him: *nothing*

He ragequits, for no reason, because he's online when this happens.

Me(over guild chat): *his name* OMG!!!
Him: Say one more word and you're out of this guild.
(he was an officer)
Me: Wtf, I say one thing, and you ragequit and threaten to boot me for no reason?
Me: I'm a member of this guild a few hours, and am already going to be unjustly kicked from the guild, wonderful. Goodbye you 10 year old brat.

I may have been a bit of the jerk there, but he was asking for it ever since he dissed me in the first place, the one keeping him alive during the farming run.

Mera, I totally know how you feel about the aggro situation. A lot of monks are total diva's but really, it's not like we're half-assing it. We're really trying to keep people alive, and they think that just because they have a healer in the party, they're invincible.

Jerk No. 1

Anyway, a recent situation like that happened to me, involving some rude jerks and farming. I was trying to farm Scar Eater on my monk, and this group consisting of tank, necro, and nuker invite me. They want to farm all the bosses in the region, so I go along. Why not lend a hand, right?

Except, I was spec'd for two-man farming Scar Eater, meaning I don't have a res. I go in kind of hoping it won't matter because in most farming groups, people restart after one death. Anyway, why should the tank die if I'm boosting him with heals, right?

WRONG!! He aggro's two mobs as soon as we leave Vasburg Armory, and I'm just trying to keep him alive while the necro is also being attacked. It's alright, I can handle those two. Nuker is doing okay. Then the necro runs back to me and aggro's everyone on him to me! SMART MOVE!! Whew, everyone but tank survives and the two mobs are dead.

It seems no one has a res, so I run back into the town, telling them I need to grab Rebirth. As soon as I zone in, they kick me. Then the nuker's in town spamming:

"LF EXPERIENCED monk for farming!!"

I'm a bit miffed and PM him with: "Har har -_-" Immediately after, the necro starts spamming something like this in local chat:

"yea not lik esong mizuru (that's me) lolz cuz she sux <insert more typos>"

I don't say anything, but after a few spams, I try to defend myself by pointing out they aggro'd everything onto me. Then the nuker says:

"Lolz wut kind of monk doesnt bring rez lolz"

Uh, A LOT, actually (but I usually do bring res)! Some nice guy in town speaks up and tries to defend me also, but then he PMs me to tell me that they're all noobs and I shouldn't feel bad.



Jerk No. 2

During a mission in Cantha, my lvl 17 assassin finds a group with other under-lvl 20 people. This is for the mission where you have to reunite Mehnlo and Togo with another team. I pick up a lvl 19 nuker, and he's the highest level person on our team. We're all set but need one more monk, and we nab one. This monk immediately leaves after joining, and the nuker says:

"He probably saw you were all low level and left."

Har har, fine. We were ranged from lvl 16-19, and I can understand the monk's unwillingness to heal us (especially a lvl 17 assassin). We go in after we find a final person, regardless. Then this person won't shut up about our levels. So we find that the other group is just henchies.. and we keep going regardless. Our lowest level, a ranger, leaves as soon as Togo and Mehnlo are together and we kill all the afflicted in the region.. and the all mightly lvl 19 nuker keeps bashing us:

"It's kind of sad you guys are too lazy to do some extra quests to get to lvl 20."

Yeah, uh, whatever. Most of us choose to ignore this, but another assassin talks back, and shit hits the fan. They bite at each other's throats the whole mission through.

lvl 19 nuker (JERK): "Whatever you probably still take summer school, lol."
me: (interrupting) "Hey, I'm in college and *I* take summer school."

At one point, we got them to leave each other alone, and I get to talking with the other assassin:

other sin: "I hate high school..."
me: "Yeah, high school does suck. Don't worry, it'll get better after that."
lvl 19 nuker (JERK): "Haha why don't you just drop out and go work at mcdonald's!"

Okay, asshole. Stop picking on the young'uns. It's not a real solid way to boost your own pitiful ego.

Finally someone who understands, gotta hate those W/Mo with nothing but anti war skills that do nothing but spam them and, in turn, think they are leet. They think this reguardless of the fact that they're sitting there, no tanking skills at all, no armor boosters, taking MASSIVE damage from spellcasters that i have to heal. It drives me insane that on top of this, he threatens to kick me out of the guild.

I garuntee you if the guild leader was on, and had heard the whole story, he would have concurred with me. Alas, he wasnt, so I was forced to leave or stay in this crap guild.

From here on out it was mostly just him questioning my sexual preferences and experience gaming.

Now, I'm sorry I thought the shield was worth less then it's listed at, but when an amulet costs 20k why on earth would anyone pay double for the shield?

The shield can get that much from players who don't have factions or access to the last mission as it is still a desired skin.

Drop stealers...

This happened to me one before....so I bring distortion instead of rez for unknown 55's

We are down to last battle to lose favor.
So I take a monk that invites me (silent type)
He looks experienced as he aggros all three groups of Aatxes
They all die except one, who is near death, but the others drop 3 ectos, all for me. The monk immediately runs the last Aatxe at me, hoping it will kill me. It get of my distortion,
it takes takes one swing and I get off desecrate enchants and he drops.
I run to pick up my ectos as he runs down the stairs to activate Grasp quest.
By the time they get to me, I have collected all of my drops and he just sits there for a few seconds and then drops.

Holy crap... and here I thought Guild Wars solved the problem of drop stealing with randomly assigned drops. But I guess some jerks find their way around that! >_<

Yeah, people who take the time and effort to bash you in Local really aren't worth the time of day. Everyone knows they're the real noob as soon as they start trashing in Local... as seen in my example of the farming group from hell. =_=

O.K. without saying which guild...lets just say they are one of the best gvg guilds out there atm...you would think that when you play against a top 50 guild and your guild is in the top 100...that there would be some respect and some ingame class shown...well let me tell you...this grp of gvg'ers are not nice folks.

WOW ...everytime we play these jerks...they spout so much crap it's insane! (note to self...good guilds can have a lack of class.)

So, I'm warming up in Fort Aspenwood (Luxon) as an MM, 2.5 hours before the event officially starts. (keep that in mind)

One player on our team says something peculiar:

His profession is E/N. After I notice him teleporting around the corpses and exploiting them, I become a tad annoyed.



Yikes.

Fortunally, the Kurzicks provided plentiful corpses, and we win easily.

And this is before the event. Can't wait until it actually starts.

(Rabid China Girl, I had joined that group for 4-man grove farming as an SS. When I noticed the lv. 24 Golem and lv. 16 Minions, I ragequit.)

We had something like that happen to our guild. Except, our rank is 5000+ and their rank was 8. Yep, top ten guild vs us. We made them go to about five minutes, we were proud of ourselves.

i only gvg'ed like 5 times so far... the first time scarred me for life...
we ranked like 2000th 'ish ('cause we are mainly pve) and we got paired up with warmachine T.T then 2ndly time we got paired up with some guild ranked 20'ish ... sigh....

This is way I often take henchmen on missions and runs... simply because:

1) Most people discriminate mesmers in PvE
2) Henchmen don't talk back
3) They don't ragequit even after getting 60% penalty (Alesia ftw!)

Yeah, when I team I often suggest we grab a mesmer for good measure.. but nobody ever listens to me! Nobody listens to the monk... T_T Their pve popularity has dropped rapidly since Factions.

But you have no idea how noob necros got since Factions. They nerfed MMs but that doesn't stop people from playing nothing BUT MM. Dur, curse necro? What's "curses?" I'm impressed a few people actually still know what SS stands for (though not many). Yeah, great, lvl 14 minions running around all over the place... some minion master, huh?

But back to Prophecies... I returned to Tyria on my W/Mo recently to cap HH (Healing Hands), something I've been putting off for a while but.. well, Factions solo'ing just got harder so I needed it. It was great. I'd forgotten how hellish cap groups could be. People are so damn selfish about it! Even when I don't make a team, I often take charge if no one else seems to be doing so. So we leave Ember Camp and shit hits the fan...

Most of us were there for HH, with the exception of a necro looking for Obsidian Flesh and a war looking for "Charge!". Fine. But as soon as we leave, the mobs are massive.. and I suggest we go get Obsidian first, since the way to that boss has cleared up.. but the idiot who wants "Charge!" keeps drawing the other way on the mini-map, since he obviously wanted to cap his first. I run toward Obsidian, ignoring him, but then he runs in the opposite direction and aggro's everything. Great job, duche.

The boss with "Charge!" comes surrounded with another boss and some flesh golems. I tell the group to kill the monk boss first. Most of them listen and go at the monk boss, but I notice that war beating away at the warrior boss alone. Smart one, this warrior. Some other warrior who came for HH gets all testy 'cause he didn't bring an extra cap sig for Charge. Whatever, we ignore him. Then on the way back to find Obsidian Flesh, he runs into town.

Everyone: "What the hell!? Who zoned?!"
War who zoned: "Okay, rdy. Needed another cap sig."

We go back out. Bad aggro, we all die, and surprise surprise.. the warrior who capped "Charge!" ditches us.

Jerks? I don't know. Selfish lil' twats? Hell yeah.

I have to ask; Why Why Why do people get PuGs to cap elites? Makes no sense to me. You can stack your skillbar with cap sigs and take all henchies, as long as you call targets and aggro decently, you should have no problems at all getting the caps you need. Seems like an unnecessary hurdle bringing along a bunch of people who need different things. I could see a guild group doing it, but c'mon! Not PuGs!

I guess this is why I don't have any jerk stories, cause I don't place myself in jerk situations! *shrug*
