Gold only shows one thing..and only when it just dropped. Gold shows that modifiers on the weapon will be perfect or near perfect.

whether you like the skin or not, it depend on your own taste. And also how well you can match your weapon with your cloth/dress/armor

Well, there's 3 groups of "Boarillas" outside Yohlon Haven that's not limited to the AoE AI. And you can indeed pull all 3 groups...
