Yep... only platemail helm is at Granite :/, no FoW kind.

You can get them, some by skills and some by quests. I believe you'll still have to end up spending some skill points to buy it at ascalon...

It's not a glitch, there are a variety of items that can be blue/purple/gold that won't have a SINGLE mod on it. It happens, just bad luck.

As for PVE, I suggest you don't buy the armor at amnoon and wait till droknars (Since it has the highest defence). It's more money...

You keep all the skills on the character. If you started the game as E/N and goto E/M, all the skills you had as E/N will still be there for you...
