It's optional. Anet can charge $3,500 for a special edition Gaile Grey minipet if they want, as long as they aren't forcing anyone to buy it.

It was a Customer Support issue, rather than a Community issue, so it's pretty straight forward why Gaile dealt with it as opposed to Regina....

If Anet never balanced broken shit we would all be doing nothing but spamming map wide Earthquake at the start of every game, dropping spirits...
