pretty sure you are running in DX8 mode. it will definitely cause that funky smoke. EotN is pretty much strictly DX9/DX9c.

the answer is maybe. it's really hard to tell, since winXP will have the multiple core problem on some machines, and other machines run it...

well.... you might be able to start the game, but you won't get playable performance.

those "VGA boosters" are such a ripoff. i'd rather get a good quality PSU for ~$140 than put my trust in one of those things.
