To my knowledge.. the secondary profession is permanant and can not be changed after you choose one.

If monsters miss rangers as much as I do (Warrior) then they can probably solo 18 equal level monsters.

I think they can really work on people who LD in-game. If you LD you should be able to rejoin where you were. Me and a friend were doing a co-op...
