it should be somewhere in the CD case, it's been a while but, I think it might be behind one of the CD mounts[or whatever the CDs are put on...
wish there was a way to get back in there, maybe a hole could open up that takes you back to pre, kind of like tombs, you have to stop the searing...

took me 5 trips from that outpost near the SS cap to the SS cap spot, keep trying I guess
maybe it's to prevent mission/quest failure when the team is out of the npc's zone, because we all know the AI sometimes gets smart enough...
